Oubass, I thank you very much for help. I urge all AMD card owners to check their Global settings and make sure that you have multisampling . I had supersampling ON and as soon as I changed it I am able to run DCS at 60 fps solid (with occasional dips, but that how it was before last update). Oubass, YOU are the man (moved to "last to kill" on my list). Thank you very much for all your efforts to find a cure. TRIAS.

Ouubas, just used your settings and my FPS dropped to 7 -38 and that is in singleplayer mission bf109 with Mustang. No idea what that is as other applications work fine. I was always happy with my DCS performance (comparable ti il2 BOS), but now il2/BOS/BOM is waaaay better then DCS. Hopefully developers will look into all those complains by other players and make some changes. If not then I ill have no choice by abandon DCS altogether.

I have i5 2500k (4.3Ghz) and R9 290 and used to run game on pretty much all high settings, at 60 fps stabel (had Vsync ON). Since last update (I believe it was the one to accommodate Oculus CV1 owners), I have stuters all over the place. Droped EVERYTHING to LOW and MEDIUM removed anisotropic filtering and still no joy, in multiplayer I get low 20s to 60s (If I look straight). Absolutely unplayable. Reinstalled newes drivers - didn't help, upgraded to WIN10 - became even worse, reinstalled DCS - still no joy. Removed shadows - not any better. I am waiting for Oculus Rift, but I see there is no way I will be able to play DCS on flat monitor, leave alone Rift. Very disappointed. P.S. What sems odd is that before I could zoom in/out very smoothly, now every time I touch zoom button - I will get stutters for a second or more. Very odd. Something is definitely VERY wrong after last update. TRIAS.

I updated to latest Catalyst - 15.7.1 DCS just updated itself to latest version. Still no joy, but this time I see splash screen with DCS logo and 1.5 version. I wait, wait, wait and nothing happens. If I go to task manager it shows there as DCS - not responding. At my last effort when Itried to kill process through Task Manager it hung WIN 7 which many would agree is really hard to do. You guys definitely pat yourself far calling it Beta at this point. I give up. Off my hard drive.

I recently had clean reinstall of Win7(2 months ago), updated WIN7 all the way to latest patches. I have all redistributable C++ files (except 2005) DX11 version is installed. Uninstalled 1.2.16 completely (an removed user files completely). Installed 1.5 beta (on disk other then Win7, disk D in my case). Also I have a few games on my PC and all of them start without a problem. I see this thread drifted from "crash on game start" issue to the "crash in mission", but neverthless here is my issue: Unfortunately 1.5 beta gives me black screen (no sound ), changes resolution if I alt+tab while in black screen, and that is about it. First time I installed 1.5 using its installer (a few hours after it became available) - resulted in black screen right after start. Then I downloaded all files from your website (used torrent) and installed it again - black screen. I looked at his thread and downloaded those 4 files and put them where adviced - black screen. No idea what to do next, throwing white towel. My PC is 2500 i5, Asus Motherboard P67, AMD R9290 GPU, sound onboard. Catalyst 15.7 (15.20.1046-150622a-186188C driver) is installed.
