  1. Gents, The laser can't be seen from NVG's maybe an EA thing, or maybe a bug.
  2. Need Some help, I keep getting a network error at about 80-90% completion when trying to download the manual. Any suggestions? I checked my D/L speed, I'm only getting around 150KB/s with the provided link.
  3. I can confirm this bug, happened to me last night
  4. Just what it says, at night, when at or below selected altitude, the red indicator light is significantly brighter than all other lighting. nite mode nor NVG mode switch positions effect it. also, the AOA dimming rheostat doesn't seem to be very effective either.
  5. So I guess I need some help from you fine Gents, I tried using the mod with OvGME ( have several other mods I use with it) and everything seems to work except when I hit Lt Alt and F9 then esc and manual, a solid window with the huey manual shows up. I can see the B&W camera and zoom in and out, just no crosshairs to set up. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks PS, using Skatezilla's Utility I'm launching in V/R off and using the monitor mod option. https://imgur.com/a/5o5ZUO1
  6. Skate, the Utility has been working perfectly for me until the most recent update. when I try to update to version 1.1.0.1018, I get an unhandled exception and this: See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array. at SZGSUPDATER.Form1.CheckProcess() at SZGSUPDATER.Form1.Form1_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.EventHandler.Invoke(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnCreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ScrollableControl.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.7.3260.0 built by: NET472REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- SZGS Mini Updater Assembly Version: 1.0.0.1002 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///G:/Program%20Files/DCS%20Updater%20Utility/SZGS%20Mini%20Updater.exe ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 10.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 14.7.3056.0 built by: NET472REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Microsoft.VisualBasic/v4.0_10.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.7.3314.0 built by: NET472REL1LAST_B CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.7.3221.0 built by: NET472REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.7.3221.0 built by: NET472REL1LAST_C CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.7.3056.0 built by: NET472REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.7.3056.0 built by: NET472REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.7.3056.0 built by: NET472REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.7.3056.0 built by: NET472REL1 CodeBase: file:///C:/WINDOWS/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. 7. True, but they still get their name on a jet in the squadron they are assigned to.
  8. Airliners do this when the APU is inop. Use a start cart ( high pressure air ) to start one engine, and then crossbleed start the other on a taxiway away from the gate. Only requires around 55-60% N1 ( technically you need 30 psi on the duct pressure gauge) on the operating engine, depending on field elevation.
  9. The part that has the hole in it is the Radome, what you see inside is the radar :)
  10. Best advise for early access, consider it beta testing you paid for. If it’s not your thing, wait until it doesn’t say early access in the E-shop.
  11. when you're in an airplane, and someone starts screaming at you, you KNOW there's a problem.
  12. Gents, need confirmation. 1. In multiplayer, cold start, gun ammo and 275 centerline tank only, and didn't mess with chaff or flares (showed full on the ground crew menu). I was unable to dispense either chaff or flares. 2. Also, wingman locked me up to find me and I had no indication on RWR. RWR was powered up and Search mode selected. 3. Air to air gunfight with AI F-5 and had no RWR indication from him or any ground search radar.
  13. From your local neighborhood Wikipedia, easier than typing it myself: Water injection has been used in both reciprocating and turbine aircraft engines. When used in a turbine engine, the effects are similar, except that normally preventing detonation is not the primary goal. Water is normally injected either at the compressor inlet or in the diffuser just before the combustion chambers. Adding water increases the mass being accelerated out of the engine, increasing thrust, but it also serves to cool the turbines. Since temperature is normally the limiting factor in turbine engine performance at low altitudes, the cooling effect lets the engine run at higher RPM with more fuel injected and more thrust created without overheating.[3] The drawback of the system is that injecting water quenches the flame in the combustion chambers somewhat, as there is no way to cool the engine parts without coincidentally cooling the flame. This leads to unburned fuel out the exhaust and a characteristic trail of black smoke. Higher RPM= More Thrust More Thrust= More weight or a shorter takeoff roll (VSTOL)
  14. I was able to use the flashlight in the current build. L-alt L still works for me.
  15. Just what it says, I didn't check external views, but there's definitely no sound inside when firing the gun. THE SILENCE IS DEAFENING!
  16. I thought maybe this patch would fix it, or maybe I'm doing something wrong, but, if I assign the "nub" on the throttle to control the TDC axis, once I select a target and try to "sweeten" the picture, it slaves back to the flight path vector.
  17. Definitely a noticeable difference in color
  18. Do a forum search for Simple Radio
  19. You provided zero value to this post.
  20. Ciribob, does there need to be an update to account for the Harrier radio fix? I can change freq's in single player, but, when I try in MP SRS freq doesn't change.
  21. 2.5.1 with DS is working well for me in VR, 45fps on the ground, 60-90 in the air, although I still get some weird graphics occasionally. i7 7820x 32g 3200mhz ram 1080 2x 1TBSSD raid 0 Vive
  22. 29.72, at Nellis, temp 15C. Watching Tacview replay I did take some fire from ground units, the engine may have been damaged, unsure.
  23. Multiplayer tested, set bingo, Master Caution and Aural alert start when 100lbs below bingo fuel. Dumping fuel has the same problem, set 3000, and dumping stops at 2900 along with appropriate alerting. Also tried hovering at NTTR at 19,000 is pounds and was unable to achieve a verticle t/o. can someone else test this? Configuration was as follows: TPOD, Gun Pod and 3000lbs of fuel.
  24. lol, I’ve been flying for 23 years and have never heard that either
