  1. I have been with the same group of guys for a while in terms of video games. We used to be a BF clan, which started with BFBC2. As we all know, battlefield lost its allure after BF3. For the last few years, I have mostly played Arma, DCS, MechWarrior, and Assetto Corsa. I'm looking for a simulation GROUP that plays most of those simulators. Is anybody familiar with anything like this? I'm located on the East Coast of the US of A. Cheers
  2. Thanks for all the heads up guys. I'm trying to figure out where all of the data is absorbed and which system makes the calculation.
  3. In an A10C, what systems input an what calculations are used to render the impact point on the HUD. I.e. What is the algorithm and what systems produce the data?
  4. I want to build around this set-up. I am thinking about enclosing it. I would use both racing and flight sim configurations. Any opinions from an engineering/architectural perspective?
  5. 2.0 Alpha on Steam Are you implying that steam forces us to use 32 bit versions of games? Also, I understand modules will now be used later on steam. However, steam delivers updates more streamlined than most standalones. The only limitations now are by choices of ED, which I DO respect their decision, not by the interface of steam. The only thing I can think of is that Steam is costing too much for ED. If that is the case then I would definitely go standalone. I assume ED has a tight budget. I have no problems paying them more for any of their work because nobody else on the market can do what they do. This includes prepar3d, FSX, and XPlane. However, I like the steam interface and having everything in one spot.
  6. Me too. Just a whole lot easier.
  7. I like having everything through the Steam interface so I held off on purchasing the 2.0 alpha. My question is; when is 2.0/NTTR coming to Steam?
  8. Whats Next? The graphics are not bad at all. The biggest problem in the sim is the reused ground textures. From high altitude you can see obvious tiles. For being a free sim it does an excellent job; not for the faint of heart. I would imagine flying it would satiate your appetite for the falcon. In my opinion, nothing else on the market comes as close to DCS quality as Falcon, though it really is not as . I do think a DCS F-16C would be the best module we could hope for as a compliment to the existing projects and modules. Ass far as the comment "flying and blowing stuff up;" my experiences indicate more people who fly DCS lean towards the enthusiast aspect of simulation as opposed to the casual simmer. There are other lower fidelity simulators out there for the casual.
  9. I figured it was he. The Dsfix saved my experience with that game; otherwise I would not have played it. Well done investigation btw mate.
  10. Good point on the SEAD. I did see a quote somewhere by a Falcon Pilot who performed SEAD Missions saying that he wasn't sure if the missiles eliminated a SAM Site or an Iraqi on a cell phone. It'd be cool to have access to a plane that employs the HARM though. However, I think the F-18 can employ it also. In fact I think there is some record of them deploying 20 of them in a Libya raid.
  11. Link to SLI requests on Nvidia Forums and Crossfire on AMD Forums If you haven't already, please make an informal request on the Nvidia and AMD request links: We've all been talking about how our SLI or XFire does not work properly in game. I started a thread on Nvidia's forums to petition for a profile. There is also an existing request thread though it's pretty bloated: Petition: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/903615/sli/dcs-series-sli-/ Official NVidia SLI Profile Request forum: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/477765/sli/official-nvidia-sli-profile-request-thread/ I created a question on the AMD website also but it requires a moderator's approval. If you get time, please make a statement on each thread. Edit: Here is the thread for AMD Users https://community.amd.com/message/2693166#2693166
  12. Copy. Hopefully we get a formal response from somebody.
  13. GPU: AMD or nVidia? There is a guide on this forum to fix stuttering. Large scale simulators like Arma and DCS are negatively affected my obscure settings.
  14. Can't wait until this and 2.0 come to steam.
  15. I suggest accessing the links in this thread: Link to SLI requests on Nvidia Forums and Crossfire on AMD Forums http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=155674
  16. Yeah you're trading a 2013 accord in on a 2015 accord and paying higher payments.
  17. There was a vote somewhere and the AH 64 got top votes for rotorcraft and the 16 for fixed wing.
  18. Why are so many fixated on the 16 do you think? Just curious.
