  1. 12th gen Intel chips run very hot by default. I have a 12700KF and had similar heat issues. My solution was to undervolt the CPU by 225mV. Not only did it get my temps WAY down (20+ degrees C), I actually had increased benchmark performance.
  2. Q1) I have a 3070 for 1440p and honestly it runs fine. 100+ fps even with heavy action. Q2) VRAM, VRAM, and more VRAM. That being said, DCS is still a very long way off from being optimized for VR. I should also mention I also have 64GB of memory. It's especially important when playing MP.
  3. So I've had the TFRP pedals for a few months and I'm beginning to get some serious stiction on them. I know the primary sliding surface appears to be the metal rails and I'm thinking that outright removing the pedal rails would fix the issue. I've applied a bit of 767a nyogel but it only seems to improve it slightly. Has anyone modded their pedals in such a manner? edit: changed to remove pedal rails
  4. I did a very similar upgrade about a year ago. My fps went from 30 to 60+. You may also want to look into upgrading your RAM as well.
  5. From what it seems that desktop is a downgrade from your laptop.
