That depends on so many factors. Pixel density, how comfortable you are with reprojection, what the actual bottleneck in a given situation is. What you mean with „high“ settings. When you put everything to high (including clouds and view distance and other options that have ultra settings). You will get 90+ fps (in most instances) when you don’t overdo it with the pixels.

However, you can bring any hardware to its knees, even a 4090. Put everything to maximum settings, up the pixel density, and turn of reprojection and let the stutter fest begin.

The 4090 is powerful (unmatched right now afaik), but is no magic bullet.

    VR is frickin‘ taxing unfortunately.

ED game engine is taxing , not VR . 😎😆☁️

I don't get it. Some people are paying $1800 for a 4090 graphics card and still have to turn down significant  settings. If I paid that much for a GPU I would expect to be able to have all settings set to HIGH with a decent frame rate in VR. I just upgraded to a $500 4070 from a 3060 ti and can get 75+ fps with most settings on HIGH. My CPU is a measly I5-12600K.

I do have DCS set as a high priority via Picasso Lasso and have a Booster program which shuts downs all background tasks and services.  Maybe that is the answer. I also have a HP Reverb G2 headset.

Try Enigma cold war server in VR let me know your findings .

  3. Shadows off , medium texture, low terrain texture, SS off , dirt off ,

    vis medium, 512 mirror,

    PD . 1.0

    TEST .

Also before changing airframe if playing for long time, restart computer to clear memory cache .

DCs has memory problems, with MT .

  4. Have you tried bore sighting with the IHADSS in VR ,go into options and assign to right eye , bring it up and bore sight , even in pilot seat I'm off not unless hot start and it's already set up . I like using both eyes set up in options. But it's always off . Hope I've made sense .

It's okay to upload the track here, no need to send it to me via PM.

In the track, the C-101CC is loaded with 2 Mk-82s and two big rocket pods. I haven't checked any performance charts or documents, but taking off from Anapa on a circa 9,000 ft runway with a light head wind at -4°C is apparently just barely within the jet's capabilities. Your takeoff looked fine to me, the jet is just heeeeavy, and it isn't exactly overpowered with its engine.

    Looks pretty legit to me.

Thank you for all your responses back to me , I've learnt that this model is pretty dam good and the attention to detail from your team is welcomed. The cold snow climate really did hamper the capabilities of the airframe . Never even knew this was modelled into the module. At one point my engine dies shortly after taking off , I'm guessing due to poor weather and not having anti ice engaged.

Now I've lighten the load out and I'll keep an eye on the weather ☁️ lol .

Can you upload the mission instead of the track?

The maximum takeoff weight is an aircraft limit. If the jet is any heavier than that, you risk breaking it during taxi and/or takeoff.

This MTOW in no way, shape or form tells you anything about takeoff performance, or whether the runway is long enough.

The same runway may well be long enough to allow for a good takeoff roll on a cold day, but may just barely allow to get airborne on a hot summer day.

For all we know, you might be taking off with a solid 40 knot tailwind and even a light Viper on full AB might struggle to get airborne under these circumstances. Unless we know more about the situation at hand, mentioning that your jet is literally not heavy enough to break down under its own weight doesn't really tell us anything beyond just that. 😉

This is a Enigma online server with multiplayer and 70 players .

Getting the mission won't be possible.

I'll test using different weapons loadout ,  Go lighter .

I'll try make track As the update broke last one .

The manual (page 119) states that the Manual Power Reserve mode is not to be used for more than 5 minutes. It increases power from 4,304 lb to 4,700 lb, a 9% increase.

That will be enough to get me airborne. Thanks for all the input.

In case you are heavy with bombs, I recommend you to use the MPR switch to give your engine an extra boost on takeoff. No limit of time for that engine mode, but you will consume more fuel

Oh I'll definitely try that , I'm using the whole runway just to get airborne, thing is,  I'm with in the maximum weight restrictions on load out screen so , not sure what's going on.

Tried making a track but it's broken dcs crash.

    I guess after the update.

  9. Setting up any modules clear the tables for all three controllers.

    Rudder

    Joystick

    Throttle

Go into axis tab and clear .

Start from fresh yes it's painful but make sure you SAVE your settings and make a backup of them files .

All my DCS controller files are kept on a spare hard drive. The good thing about DCS  is that you can use this over and over if a new installation was required.

Also each module has three files that I've named as above . All with curves settings and keybinds .

I've had the warthog great HOTAS , stiff center springs, but definitely not be jumping around as you mentioned.

Put a 5% dead zone on center. Try 15% on pitch and roll . Test . Test .

Try another airframe and test .

Ya, definitely sounds like pitot icing.  In those conditions, I'll get the GPU running and turn on the pitot and engine heat as soon as possible.

Won't auto start up kick this into action.

Edit , just tried this again , on a server . This time i put pilot heat on , Managed to take off just , Second time no different load out  , no take off  ran out of runway .

I am with in weight restriction max weight , this is C101 -CC not B

    How do i attach a track . ?

This is my thinking as I was able to take off on Syria map admit close thing with runway but was able to get up .

The cold snow conditions,  I had no chance didn't even reach , take off speed . Well within weight restrictions. Even dropped fuel down to 25% managed to get airborne fly for ten minutes then engine dies .

It's usually best to include a track or a video of your flight so we can take an actual look at what happened (preferably a track). For instance, this would not be the first time there was an accidental wheel brake mapping or an inverted axis and trying to take off with the wheels skidding over the runway doesn't usually work all that well. Or maybe the pitot tube froze over in icing conditions and your airspeed indicator never came alive. Either condition would warrant a takeoff-abort before running out of runway, but guessing the causes would take time that's better spent looking at actual data.

    A question mark? 😛

I'll take a look at tracks , but I'm not good with that sort of thing . Isn't replay broken. ????? Lol 😆

Changing weather conditions in the mission from thunderstorm to rain, those ice accretion issues can be avoided since anti-ice system will be able to cope with ice accretion rate. I'll probably edit the mission and save the old one as extremely hard landing. Any feedback welcome.

I think I've just found out why I couldn't take off in snow conditions

  13. Been flying this week and going through my modules, when was the last update for the CC version. Today on a multiplayer server I load up with bombs and rockets and reduced the fuel to under maximum weight. And for the life of me I could not take off . I was hertling down the runway and the IAS speed dial didn't move, I ran out of runway on more then one occasion. Surly if I'm within maximum weight I should be able to take off . Am I missing something here . The speed dials didn't move yet I'm traveling down the runway fast .

Going to add this was in snow winter conditions.

Also no problem taking off in desert conditions . However nearly ran out of runway .

  14. So Ive got VRnecksafer working in DCS and other flight sims i have .

But i just cant get XRNecksafer to work in DCS  . i go through pico link and steamVR .

    https://gitlab.com/NobiWan/xrnecksafer/-/tree/beta5candidate?ref_type=heads

However when running beat4a all is working on desktop app .

But in game 3D world , nothing works ,if i turn my head as normal all works but if i try necksafer ,no added views work .  Just normal head movement . odd .

    But VRNecksafer all working .

2.9.3.51704 Still can not get XRNecksafer to work. Made sure XRNecksafer API layer is first listed API and ON in SteamVR settings, started VRNecksafer both before and after DCS is running. When I engage assigned centering button (tried several), the "Not centered in game" message remains displayed.

DCS crash with XRNecksafer , i went back to VRNecksafer .

This works for me . Start steamVR then run VRNecksafer . Center when in game .
