  1. There is enough publicly available information on the web about L005 to make it more exciting to use and more realistic to use in the simulator. That is all. As someone likes to say on these forums - "quite enough to make an intelligent guess". And talk about "it would ruin the sim because other aspects are not modelled (ALSO) good enough" is not really, in my humble opinion, way to get a quality product. Cheers and tnx for the reply.
  2. Well, aside all the real reasons (need F/16 etc) for this theater to be put aside in development, I believe this is one of the most positively voted polls in the history of these forums. Ignoring that fact would, in my humble opinion, be a big waste.
  3. My DSL is such that I can't see the server PC from the one I want to "fly on". Tell me what to fix and can it be done without buying an additional router device. (Be advised: I can obtain the admin login credentials for DSL modem if I have to for advanced settings).
  4. Soo... Came after some time and - Nice results on that pole up there. Me like. Now let's all hope it happens.

  7. Thank you for making fun of us. If you said "there was a problem", "we couldn't fulfill it because X" it would be okay. Promising and then forgetting those to whom you gave a promise is plain crap. I don't care about having some trinket, I was glad to recieve it because I enjoyed blue flag. Because I respected your work, guys. Nevermind the trinket, I have money and means to make things I want, but it was irresponsible and stupid.
  8. Sorry to troll, but - what happened to those screenshot prizes? *asap*?
  9. But you NEED dynamic weather engine to achieve that. Why are you people so eager to ruin threads on these forums with your naysaying? I am not speaking in ancient mandarin, it is fairly easy to communicate with people, unless you're blinded by wish to ruin conversation.
  10. 1. I don't know why most of you is stuck on an idea of having all missions set to dunno when. 2. SIMULATION - the feel of simulation is quite nice when you have weather that's happening just now. I get it that some people aren't so RPG minded, but I am not attacking them, why f*uck up the thread with hanging to one aspect of it? 3. Weather import is secondary gain anyway - the important part is to have weather system that can simulate all available weather elements of the planet Earth (with acceptable exception of tornadoes and similar extreme manifestations). Imagine having to plan your mission in accordance to the fact that there is a hail storm over Gali, you need to divert from it... It really isn't hard to realize how accurate simulation of possible weather can improve tactical aspect of the game. It is also not hard for me to realize that at least half of the players just want it "head on"... But those kind of people should just ignore this thread. 4. When you have weather system that can simulate all available weather elements of the planet Earth then it is a lesser problem to have or not to have, and even to make weather importing mechanics in game. But the main thing is - we need better weather simulation. 5. To be honest, in my personal opinion - current "dynamic weather system" is just a system that allows you to input starting data, and then randomizes over the time passage in the mission. Feels more like a dynamic weather mockup than actual DW engine. Just my 2 cents. Don't be insulted by it.
  11. Where it comes into that is to keep the current weather updated in game while you play. So, first you need a capable dynamic weather engine, then you involve weather import. Not really hard to realize what I am pointing at, unless one has strong desire to disagree...with everything. ;) Sure, it won't be 100% accurate, but still cool. As for sudden changes on refresh: Real weather can be imported with n amount of delay, so that dynamic engine can gradually change tje weather. Not like in some other sims, where it updating weather can give you a massive wind gust because it changed direction IRL and game updazes it without gradation.
  12. This would be useful to HOTAS players, and (with addition of ingame on-screen keyboard) to VR players.
  13. NOTE: Multiple poll options are available. 1. It would be nice for SP scenarios to have an integrated command in-game to tell your wingman to hold at specific area. Example level structure of the command: Now, why in the hell did I add airfield? Population of airfields is such in current maps (and imagine when in WWII scenarios you get to be able to place them on the map) that it can be used for tactical regrouping - since it is almost impossible to implement telling AI to hold at any custom point. Also, it would be nice if there could be an option in the Mission Editor to add the F10 menu to command one or more friendly flights to hold at specific point. Just like you can, for example, order Su25 flights to attack in the Default DCS FC3 Su27 Campaign. Imagine the possibilities... You get to be the flight command and that AI will never again go berserk into the flames on all the wrong places at the map. Flight > My Flight/CAS 1 Flight/CAS 2 Flight etc (just like you can order CAS, SEAD flights in default campaign for A10C to GO OUT OF the holding point and attack - you could tell them where to hold) 2. It is a burning hole in the sim for AI not being able to rearm and refuel. Maybe that option should be added via command menu, and be available only when AI is at the ground. This might need the command to order him to land>engine_shutdown>rearm and refuel.
  14. You need truly dynamic weather engine to achieve weather import. So it is going in the same direction. The proposed thing DEMANDS a truly dynamic weather engine so it can be done. I don't see how you managed to separate those two things, really. Weather import would just be addition to truly dynamic weather engine.
  15. Well I don't have money for VR, but Windows integrated on-screen keyboard doesn't change window active status. Game is a window. Windows on-screen keyboard is forced as "always on top". Yes, few issues with that (you'd prolly have to play in windowed mode - if possible with VR, and to move it to the edge of the screen). But it is just a guess work since I don't have VR. My intention was to remind you of the feature you already have - so you can try if it works. :) Tried to help. :)
  16. A: Server based plugin B: Hire 3rd party developer to make it as an integrated feature. I didn't mean module to buy, I wanted to say "not a unofficial mod, but a serious project done either by ED or by contractor". :)
  17. 3Rd party is okay. NOT a community mod, but a real 3rd party product with team dedicated on making and maintaining the module.
  18. Take it like this: 1. Complaints, moaning, insults, flaming = Pile of rusted metal 2. Actual suggestive criticism and constructive debate = Water 3. The few thanks you got = Food. Throw away the rusted, menacing old rattles, enjoy the clear water and nice food you're getting. It is time for good people to stop giving up on using their intelligence and capabilities just because some people have ringpiece below their noses.
  19. Well, yeah, sure - it is needed for Single Player. I've totaly neglected that. And you're absolutely right: It is very needed in SP, even in small MP sessions with friends. But IMO the biggest problem there is that when AI unit can't do what it should - it just stays stuck. Like interceptors on Blue Flag if you run out on the runway while they're taxiing. Current SP ATC just needs slight overhaul and maybe adding few additional options. Basicaly it needs tweaking. It needs to: Be able to make AI planes reaquire taskings (continue taxi etc.) Be able to change runway assignment properly Be able to direct you at exact taxi route (eg Bravo 1-1, you're free to taxi, take gate D, hold short of rwy 08) Be able to deny approach to AI planes Be able to send AI planes to holding points (with correct data of what the holding point is) Be able to send player to holding points Be able to deny landing due to weather/damaged rwy and give you directions to alternate airfield, along with comms data for it Be able to be ATC. :) BE ABLE TO GIVE METEO DATA ON REQUEST! I hate writing down meteo on airfield because it won't tell me when I am coming back home later and am on approach. There is more, but I am sure you rest of the bunch will come up with it in next posts.
  20. I removed the post, since there on that thread, later posts include info about it being compatible with 1.5.4 ...?
  21. That is right. Develop one by one to as much as it is possible. Airplanes first, navy and ground units later. P. S. Slight off-topic: Having functional IR jamming on tanks would be so awesome.
