Great.. Thank You for this. I have been having a lot of trouble trying to set up my X52 Pro.. I am still a newbie and learning.. DO you happen to have any other Setting set up example for a F-4, F-5, Helo's, Etc.. Have been trying to basically set things as close as I can like Grim Reaper has on his tutorials BUT he has a 55 and it is really different.. It would be really great if you also had settings for some other planes and Helos that you wanted to share with US NOT SO COMPUTER SAVEY PEOPLE.. Thank You Again for this it is a great start for me as I learned to try to set things up as close as possible for all planes..

New to CA can someone help me with some tutorials I am totally new here. I got CA but have no idea exactly what to do now. Can anyone direct me to some easy to follow tutorials and .mix files I can check out. I would love it if someone had some simple to follow Tutorials and .MIZ files they are sharing.. Thank You for any help You can give me or point me to.. I did check a couple YOU TUBES but they are going so fast and out of focus and some has no sound they are hard to follow.. Why is it so hard to try to get people to actually share things and help new users here.. If you do not have what someone is asking for why do some of you have the need to say MAKE IT YOURSELF and then You can share it with others or You go make it yourself and figure it out for yourself how to do it because most are to selfish to share anything.. I actually thought DCS was a friendly community of gammers... YES I SAID IT GAMERS who would be happy to share and help new people but over the years I have found that That is mostly FALSE THINKING... ITS more like a DOG EAT DOG WORLD HERE.

It shouldn't have been released FOR SALE if it isn't going to work. I am one of probably many who bought it early as they did not say in the posting of it that is was going to be Beta only. If it had I would not have spent my money on it, but would have waited for it to be working before even thinking of the purchase. I am very disappointed not that I cannot even load it into my modules.

Has anyone had luck getting it set with the X52 PRO throttle... I have tried so many different things I am forgetting what I havent tried... I even tried changing it to different keys and a button on my OLDER x52

Has anyone found the fix for it. I have X 52 Pro I have also tried setting it on a button on my x 52 NON PRO throttle and cannot get it to work on it either.. and have the same problem. No Matter what I have tried to assign to it or no matter what keys I have tried to set and use Nothing is working to put it in Idle so I can start the engine. I have tried changing the Keyboard command and still nothing is getting it to work.

Maybe you need to clean your cache and other files... Also go onto a site and check what your speed is before and then after you clean all the junk off. Uninstall any old programs which you really do not use... I know... Like us all you are going to say you use them all when its just that you want them and dont want to get rid of it JUST IN CASE SOMEDAY.... Check with your carrier and see what speed you are actually paying for compared to what you are getting. You probably arent getting the actual speed you think you are as most companies say... UP TO DOWNLOAD SPEED and they do not guarantee that is what you will be getting on a computer with more then a basic program on it... See what all you have running in the back ground that you can turn off...

I agree with you. I got it also after reading it was also in English to find it in Russian. I cannot even get threw the first part because if having to read it instead of being able to listen to the tutorial... To bad they are going to say... Its A Russian Plane... they sure did miss lead me into spending my money on it. I also cannot get my RALT+HOME button to put the throttle into idle so I can start the engine.

Got it to load after a couple explanations as to the problem I was having... Now another question.. I cannot get the ENGLISH version to work. I try to start up tutorial for example and it is in Russian, and Even the starting mission with the start up tutorial is in Russian. Is there a way to change it to English as I am extremely disappointed in it if I cannot as it looks like I bought something I cant use.. Also When I go threw the start up I cannot get the RALT+HOME buttons to move the throttle to idle.. I use a X 52 pro stick and I cannot even rebind it to get it to work using different buttons or bindings. I do understand it is a Russian Plane at a Russian base but the description DID SAY It was in ENGLISH so I was expecting it to be in ENGLISH also.

I am having this problem also. I know this is a old post and hopefully someone will check it. I Have upgraded to the 2.5.something and have the Kursant Campaign installed. I also purchased the L-39 Albatros. I cannot get the throttle to move to the idle position when I try to start it. The RAlt+Home button is not working. I have tried to bind it to my stick X52 Pro and still cannot get it to move to the Idle when trying to do a cold start. I have also tried different buttons such as RALT+Pageup etc. and nothing seems to be working on it. Is anyone else still having a problem with this and how did you fix it?

I have restarted numerous times, even set the Engine Throttle Idle position (R ALT+HOME) TO MY to my X52 stick. Nothing seems to work to get it to go to idle when starting it in the start up. I am new to the L-39 and have been trying to learn the start up threw the start up in the INSTANT ACTION/ L39 C / Cold Start and it does not work there.. Neither the Keyboard or the hotas button does not set it to idle... I cannot mouse click the throttle either.. Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it??

I upgraded to open beta yesterday and purchased the L-39 Kursant campaign. It is showing in my module but does not have the serial number block and is not showing in my game. Can anyone help me with this as I have no idea what I need to do to get it to load so I can play it. What I ment by the box is to the right of where it is listed in my module. Most have the box with the serial number in it but this one has no box showing it. Maybe I am using the wrong term but anyway, it is listed but not working or showing up when I go into the game. when I select my L-39 and go into campaigns Kursant is there but status is saying inactive

I upgraded to 2.5.1 , purchased the L-39 Albatros:Kursant yesterday (Friday). As of today it is showing in my installed Campaigns module but it does not have the box for the serial number and is not showing on my in game menue. My Caucasus and Normandy modules are showing up in my modul terrains and all my purchased planes are showing up and they work fine, Can anyone help me with this? Is there something I need to do to get in to install or is this a bug where I wasted my money to purchase it?

I just got the KA-50 Black Shark and am at a loss as to what I need to set on my X52 pro for it.:joystick: Does anyone have bindings for it for my X 52 pro that will get me started on it. I have watched some great videos but cannot find one that helps me more with the X52 pro. Seems like most are for the warthog etc. and for the X 55 Rhino. When I get rich and can afford it I will get one but for now I am stuck the the Old X 52 pro. Also If I download some .LUA files for it where do I put them to use them or check them out? same with the X 52 .Pro files... I cannot remember where they are suppose to go. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have watched a lot of videos and Grim Reaper is a great help but I got lost trying to follow his video as my stick is not the same.:thumbup: Thank You All for the help... And yes I know there are a lot of you professionals out there who are just going to say ... do it and learn on your own... instead of trying to really help someone.. :pilotfly:

:helpsmilie: Got the L-39 today. I am setting up my controls for it but cannot seem to get the throttle to set to my X52 Pro. I See the key settings for it Example, Idle is RAlt + Home, Stop is RAlt + END, Toggle Idle/stop is Ralt + Back, Smooth down is NUm- Smooth up is Num +, step down thrust is Pg Dwn, Step up is Pg Up... Can anyone tell me what I need to do to be able to set my X52 Pro Throtthe to move the throttle in the plane... I am about to go nuts trying to figure it out.. Thank You For Any Help.. :pilotfly: I have tried to set my binding on all the things I listed and can not get the throttle to move at all when I try it. Does anyone else have the same problem?

I wanna cry... I want it all my way and able to use it on Steam and Stand Alone both.... LOL... So are you saying if I purchase planes, etc. on Steam I can import them and use the STEAM code to activate the same in Stand Alone but not if I purchase in DCS stand alone I cannot use it in Steam.... This is all getting so confusing... Sometime I want to play with friends that have been and are on Steam without having a hard time connecting with them.

Check E-BAY Not all controllers are sold only in pairs/sets. On E bay you can get stand alone throttles or sticks either one. I just got a stand alone throttle X52, and X52 pro throttle as well as a stand alone X52 pro Joy stick, and a FFB2 joy stick all for a total of less then $150.00. the X52 throttle I actually won the bid on and got it for $20.00. I also won the bid on Saitek pro rudder pedals and got them NEW for $75.00

If you are still offering them I would like to check out your X52 pro profiles. I just got my X52 pro and am also new to DCS and could use all the help I can get. Thank you

I am new but what I have and am working on is.. I built the Rodger Dodger control stand with a couple modifications. I got a FFB2 stick from E bay to use for Helo's along with a X52 throttle to use as a Collective which I will mount and leave mounted. I did get Saitek Pro pedals. I have a X52 PRO set up for use with other things. I am experimanting with the settings for my FFB and X52 as a collective setting it at about -20 and the FFB controls at about +25 or so and have found flying the Huey with those settings allowes me less Crash Craters. As I said I am new and still playing with the settings and learning here.

It's sad if you find a McD's at any point.. even if your just walking.. or on your tricycle..

but doesn't the NON GENEVA CONVENTION pilots and the soldiers on the ground like to use you for target practice as you slowly drift down..

I am also new to the Huey.. I got a FFB2 stick off e bay, because of the feel of it and Run it with a X52 throttle which I use only as the Collective. I set the Collective at about a -15 on the curve, inverted the commands and set the axis controls on my FFB2 pitch and roll both at about +25. I am sorry if I have the terminology wrong. I also got Saitek Pro pedals again from Ebay at a great price and use those. I just finished putting my controller stand together per Rodger Dodger instructions and have modified it so I can leave my X52 mounted on it and use my X52Pro throttle and Stick combo on it to.. Being a newbie I am having problems with getting my bindings set as I am really not sure what exactly I need to set up. I was trying the Huey before with just a 3d extreme stick, then the X52 pro but found a old video using the FFB2 and it looked and sound so much better... I like it better even though I have only got the basics of flying my Huey down. At least my crash and burn on landing is down form about 100% to about 50% and getting better.
