  1. Anyone using these apps on android to make button and slider inputs? I tried the Monect PC Remote today for Android. The idea is to create your own switches and/or sliders using a tablet. So far I've got it connected and had success using the default game pad layout to make inputs to DCS. Then I created my own layout.....but no success getting those inputs to register as a joystick with DCS yet. Have not tried *edited to read: ControllerPC by Mobo Alien* App for Android...but it looks promising.
  2. thank you. it is working now/again. Many, many thanks for this program.
  3. Great program. I was on a multiplayer server and it recorded and played back great. My trial expired. Went back to the same server but it won't play the file back. says the file type is unsupported. File name: Tacview-20171022-054404-(name of server) v176wt.zip will i have to buy the standard or pro to open this file? I thought i could at least get some basic data. thanks.
  4. thanks. I'm sill on Windows 7. The words on the Space Desk website look pretty dire: use this and your computer will self destruct cautions. anyone have experience currently with windows 7. I'm really looking for a way to control inputs in DCS. (like CDU in A-10C)
  5. Anyone using either of these apps for android to extend windows monitor to a tablet in DCS? or maybe another? Thanks.
  6. I know this is going to sound counter to a lot of thinking.....but here goes. It seems to me that I have to go all in on BOTH the Warthog throttle, stick and some rudder pedals or stay with a single input stick. I'm using the Logitech Extreme 3D. Using the 6 buttons on the base, the POV switch can be the A-10C target pod slew, trim, Tgt Management, Data Management Switch. The buttons on the top become the China, Boat, speed brake, Coolie Hat, etc. If I get JUST the warthog throttle then I loose the ability to use those modifiers. I'd have to take my hand off the throttle to use the joystick modifiers or use the TM Warthog switches as modifiers....which defeats the purpose. With the 3D extreme for (it's been as low as $20) I get everything I need. It's accurate enough that I can land with it and do some formation flying....but can in no way refuel.....and I'm not really sure the TM Warthog will help there....I heard it's VR that I really need to refuel well. Any of the switches on the base of the TM Warthog I can just click using Track IR, use keyboard (flaps) or Voice Attack. Plus there's not twist for rudder.....so I'd need to get rudder pedals too! Bottom line I think I'd rather spend my $ on a better video card to up the quality on my 3 displays. Any thoughts or advice appreciated. Thanks.
  7. Well the price seems good on the Rift. But I'm concerned about the resolution and my GTX-970. I can't afford the Rift and a 1080ti right now. I fly the A-10C and the targets are hard enough to find in the Mavericks as it is now w/ my set up. Any assessment on how they are in the RIft? And for some reason the lettering on the panels (like the ILS or avionics panel or lighting panel) is really fuzzy using my rig.
  8. Thanks again. is the current version for sale the CV1?
  9. Was about ready to pull the trigger since the price on Rift is down again. But noticed in the Amazon page it says: "NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti/AMD Radeon RX 470 or greater Graphics Card Required" I have a GTX-970. I thought it would run it! and the app test they says says it's GTG. What's up?
  10. Those with 3 monitors and TrackIR how are you checking high 6? I have NOT set the graphics driver to make them all one monitor. I have the LUA set up for three identical screens each with separate views. 5760x1080 aspect ratio 5.333333333 With TrackIR when i look at my right or left monitor and raise my head as if looking back and high the view rotates according to the front screen. TrackIr and DCS bases the side view on what your head is doing as if you were looking forward. Hard to explain but the L/R monitors rotate counter clockwise when looking up.....again as if you were looking forward. It's really annoying when I'm in a dog fight and trying to look behind me and up.....it's just not putting the view where I want it. I tried working it ALL day and a bit annoyed so any tips would be appreciated....thanks. __________________
  11. my 3 screens are 32 inch. if i use one screen selection the video scene is stretched really bad. the aspect ratio is a problem that way.
  12. Brewnix, It's not an issue of the T-IR losing visibility of the clip. I think it's that the left and right lua export views rotate based on the middle screen. When I lift my head while looking at the left or right screen it thinks i'm looking at the center screen....vs the left or right one so it raises the front screen....but this tilts the left and right screens versus just raising them.
  13. OK. It has to something to do with the game thinking I'm rotating my head based on the one front view only. When I look up, Track IR inputs a pitch up. then DCS is rotating all the views up as if i'm looking forward. Even if I'm looking at the left or right screen. Do most people use windowed mode, or use Geoforce to make the three into one large display? if so does this fix it? again any tips appreciated.
  14. Thanks for the post. I tried turning off the roll. It's still the same. It's like when i look to the 135 degree and try to raise my head it just rolls. I can't really look up at about the 120 degree mark. Makes it really hard to see the bandits back there. I know in real life the seat probably blocks the view some. but i can do it with the mouse when TIR is paused.....annoying.
  15. I'm having trouble getting my TrackIR the way I want it. I have 3x 32" TV screens at 1920x1080 resolution....and it's great. I have NOT set the Nvidia driver to make them all one monitor. I have the LUA set up for three identical screens each with separate views. 5760x1080 aspect ratio 5.333333333 I use TrackIR software to set the Yaw to look behind me (180 degrees) when I look dead center at the left and right screens. so far so good. but then when i look up (while looking at the left or right monitor) the view rotates a bit instead of looking further up.....I mean it looks up a little, but not much. Same thing when I look down (when looking at the L/R screen)....it sort of just stalls and stays there. When I look forward at the center screen and look up it works just fine....I'm looking right above me. I guess I should try to figure out how to capture it on video. Bottom line....it's really annoying when I'm in a dog fight and trying to look behind me and up.....it's just not putting the view where I want it. I tried working it ALL day and a bit annoyed so any tips would be appreciated....thanks.
  16. Ok. I gave up and just started using Voice Attack.
  17. Looking for a good profile for VA with A-10C and / or F-15C with Track IR. thanks.
  18. so it can only be done with Voice Attack or macros?
  19. BuzzU When you clear off RCtrl+Num and put the Num it doesn't change the fact that when you press the Num key it goes to the snap view only as long as you have the key depressed. I trying to get it so I can press one key, it goes to the view and stays there. even if i release the key.
  20. Is Voice Attack the preferred / one that folks use most for DCS? I remember using VAC on someone's computer one time. Any opinions or a thread point out? thanks.
  21. I'm having trouble getting my snap view commands the way I want. As it stands now if I want to input data on a clickable control panel using snap view, I have to RCTRL+NUM0 then NUMn. I'd like to eliminate the RCTRL+NUM0 step somehow. I'd like to be able to press NUMn (where n=1-9) and go to a snap view...and STAY there until I'm done moving switches on that panel....then press another button to go back to my TrackIR view. Any help appreciated.
  22. It just seems to me that you have to get into Cockpit view mode (Toggle Cockpit View - Default is by pressing Ctrl+NUM0) then you can select the cockpit view you want. Then you have to exit (toggle out of) cockpit view. If I clear RCTL+Num and put in say NUM2 for the toggle....then all NUM2 will do is toggle to cockpit view, which is centered looking forward. Then I can't use Num2 for selecting another view. It just seems like the only way to get in and out of a frozen view of a cockpit panel is by pressing doing three actions.
  23. Really need this for tactical formation flying.
  24. I'm having trouble getting my snap view commands the way I want. As it stands now if I want to input data on a control panel using snap view, I have to RCTRL+NUM0 then NUMn. I'd like to eliminate the RCTRL+NUM0 step somehow. I'd like to be able to press NUMn (where n=1-9) and go to a snap view...and STAY there until I select another view. Pressing RCTR+NUM0 does get the toggle initially but once you leave that view the toggle goes off....so that the next time you press a snap view it's only momentary. Could I do set it up to do something like this: Press NUMn (n=1-9): A snap view that's not toggled..e.g. once you release the NUMn key it goes back to the previous view. Press LWin+NUMn (n=1-9): a snap view that stays there to do panel clicks, then press some button...maybe NUM5 or NUM0 to get back to regular/previous view. Thanks.
  25. Thanks. Do you think the community has a leaning one way or the other on Rift vs Vive for DCS?
