Unveiling the VKB TECS Throttle Control System
HoneyBadger replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Well, my Warthog throttle just died. If VKB wanna go ahead and release their throttle after this pandemic, that would be great. -
[REPORTED] High-quality A-10C cockpit switch logic
HoneyBadger replied to Redglyph's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Does anyone not really like the new textures? They feel like the older JF-17 cockpit textures before Deka updated them -

Force Feedback Joystick Coming soon
HoneyBadger replied to FoxHoundcn's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Sorry if it's been stated already but is there a rough ETA on when these will be available? -
Every 2 weeks, I make an effort to backup all of the controller profiles I have for each module I use (I use a lot of modules). This has become extremely tedious and I wish I could click a single button to save my keyboard, MFD(s), joystick, throttle and rudder profiles for every single module to a specified location on my computer. It can't be that difficult to implement this.

Look, ED, I know you're sick of us ragging on about the clouds, and perhaps there's more pressing matters that require your attention first, but I'm sorry, these clouds just look absolutely ridiculous and are becoming a real eye sore to look at. I could excuse them pre-2.5 but with the 2.5 update and the more realistic and natural look DCS has gotten to, the clouds just stand out like a sore thumb. I'm begging you, please. #CloudsMatter

Oh god yes, especially some kind of attack helicopter. I know the Hind is coming but who knows how long that'll be.

Does anyone know what the recommend Masksize for the Index is? -
[Standalone] DCS starting in Oculus instead of SteamVR mode
HoneyBadger replied to HoneyBadger's topic in VR Bugs
I tried this but it still brings up Oculus when I start DCS. I can't close Oculus either without closing DCS. Also I didn't mention but my performance is pretty bad, even with everything turned down. -
I recently replaced my Oculus Rift with the Valve Index and I can't get DCS to start in VR without starting Oculus Home. I don't want to uninstall Oculus as I have some games on it I wish to play with Revive, so how do I force DCS into SteamVR mode?

Ranger, do you plan to do anymore campaigns?
HoneyBadger replied to HoneyBadger's topic in Ranger 79 Productions
So, I'll take that as a no? -
Unveiling the VKB TECS Throttle Control System
HoneyBadger replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
VKB, a lot of us are disappointed Virpil's new throttle (T-50CM) doesn't have an AB detent. This could be your moment if you capitalise on it. Come on VKB, Virpil have basically given you the throttle market with this oversight. -
I consider Operation Piercing Fury to be the gold standard for other campaigns (not just A-10 ones) to be compared to. The mission variety, balance, fair difficulty and especially voice acting are all top notch stuff. I really hope you work on more campaigns, Ranger.

F10 radial menu that works just like the F-14 Jester menu
HoneyBadger replied to HoneyBadger's topic in DCS Core Wish List
ED could make the Pie menu optional in that case. It could just be a drop down in the gameplay menu: F10 menu options: Standard F-key Menu (Classic) Radial Menu -
F10 radial menu that works just like the F-14 Jester menu
HoneyBadger replied to HoneyBadger's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Do you have head tracking? That's honestly the proper way to use the Jester Menu as I can see using keys to be awkward. -
VR Shaders mod for better VR experience

What's the recommended MASKSIZE value for Rift? -
ok... then don't turn them on by default.

I LOVE the F-14's interior lighting, is there a way to have flood lights, console and instrument lighting on by default?

Select Radio options using VR cursor instead of mouse?
HoneyBadger replied to HoneyBadger's topic in Virtual Reality
That's sort of the same reason why I've avoided Voice Attack/VIACOM, it can't understand my Scottish accent very well. They're hampered by Windows' AWFUL voice recognition engine. I wish either Microsoft would open up Cortana or Voice Attack would use a different engine. -
Select Radio options using VR cursor instead of mouse?
HoneyBadger replied to HoneyBadger's topic in Virtual Reality
How do you do that, though? How can you select radio options with your HOTAS? Do you use the green cursor that follows your headset or the mouse cursor that only appears when it's in close proximity to the radio menu? -
Select Radio options using VR cursor instead of mouse?
HoneyBadger posted a topic in Virtual Reality
I have left mouse click bound to a button on my HOTAS so I can select stuff using my head with the green VR cursor. But why is it that I can't select the F10 radio options using that cursor? Why do I have to still use my mouse and awkwardly move the mouse cursor into view? Is there a mod or something that fixes this? -
It would be convenient to have separate kneeboards for the Pilot and RIO so we can keep checklists separate. It seems like the RIO seat is incredibly complicated so I'd imagine I'll have a lot of reminders, notes and checklists, but combining this with the pilot's could lead to a very cluttered and long kneeboard.

Optionally Make pilot body disappear when you mouse over it
HoneyBadger replied to HoneyBadger's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I personally would prefer the entire body to disappear but this flashlight idea would be great to have as an option.
