  1. Same issue, can't get it to start up on the Mig. I only just bought it, I kinda regret updating now :megalol: Thanks for looking in to the issue guys! Logs.rar
  2. What's this about aircraft trim not working? I've reinstalled my pc. I saved my control profiles and loaded them up after clearing all bindings first. Now my nose down trim doesn't work. I look in the keybinds, everything checks out. Still doesn't work, it just doesn't respond (I'm looking at the input with ctrl+enter). When I go back to controls, rebind the exact same button, nose down on the trim hat of my joystick, and it suddenly works. I have to do this everytime I restart DCS. Is this a known bug? ****EDIT**** Nevermind, my issue was due to the modifier (my lever) being set up as a switch instead of a hold button. For the record, in modifiers.lua (in C:/users/my saved games/DCS folder) the line "["switch"] = true," had to be changed to false.
  3. Thanks for the advice! I think I'm going to let go of my insistance on getting the mostest highests end hardware for triple the budget I have, and just go for an i5-6600K and a GTX 1070. After reading about that card I don't think I need anything more powerful, and waiting on the 1080 Ti will probably be overkill on budget and performance anyway!
  4. I've been flip-flopping between the i5-6600k and i7-6700k a LOT. However 3.5 ghz of the i5 vs 4.0 ghz on the i7 base clock seems like quite a gap. Knowing my luck I'll get a worthless chip for OC'ing  but maybe the i5 is still the better deal even if I do get unlucky.
  5. Thanks for the replies everybody!! Seems like it's an open and shut case.
  6. Hi all, I'm currently running an AMD FX-8350 (@4.2 ghz) with a Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 (non X variant) GPU. I'm looking to upgrade but I'm facing tough choices here. My performance is acceptable in DCS but not as great as I'd like. I've been looking at an upgrade to skylake with the Asus Maximus VIII Hero mobo paired with an i7 6700K and 16 gb DDR4 ram. I'll keep my R9 290 GPU and upgrade that in about 6 months time, possibly to a GTX 1080 Ti once that releases. On the other hand, I could also go for a GTX 1070 right now, or maybe a 980 Ti, and keep my CPU/mobo and push back my upgrade another year or so in the future. I'm slightly worried that a part of my poor performance comes from running the FX-8350 cpu, which isn't great in singlethread performance, so getting a new GPU like the 980 Ti would just run into a bottleneck situation. What do you guys recommend?
  7. Oh I'm definitely going to be trying this out!! Thanks a lot for making this!
  8. I haven't read the review as I only just began playing this campaign and I'm avoiding anything that might take away the element of surprise. It really is the most fun I've had in a loooooong time. I got into DCS about 5 months ago, and since then I've accumulated all the gear. TM warthog, TrackIR 5 and MFG crosswind's. This campaign is my first non-training scenario (apart from a few odd missions and instant action missions) and I just love how it seems to guide you towards properly using all the systems. I felt like a real hog driver utilizing the systems and leading the operations! Excellent way to put all the practice and studying I've done in the last 5 months to work! My premature verdict would be the same though. Amazing campaign, and I've only just started out!
  9. In my experience the download speeds are great. IIRC you can actually click the "cancel" button on the download to revert to HTTP download. You could try that, see if that makes a difference.
  10. Yess! Finally! I'm joining the club! S/N 1810. Ordered on 24/12/2016, arrived today, 21/03/2016 in Utrecht, The Netherlands :pilotfly:
