  1. Why this was labeled as not a bug? Was the evidence not enough? A feedback would be good so I can provide more evidence or clarification if needed.
  2. Are you guys sure we have an accurate representation of the real F-16C HUD? Cause from the dozens of HUD tapes in public it can be seen that a lot of elements are not accurate yet, one of them is the subject of this thread. Just trying to point something out guys, not to nitpick just for the sake of it on one of your amazing products. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  3. Yes true. But if we apply that to everything else then we can't report anything in the HUD any more based on any HUD tapes. I can see no plausible reason why they might have a different HUD limitation for the true HUD vs. the recorded HUD; both come from the same source, it's just a repeated version you see in the videos :smilewink:
  4. A track as requested, you can see the limits in the HUD is much shallower than the real thing. Was outside home all day sorry for late reply F-16 Free Flight.trk
  5. Hello dear devs/mods :) As compared to some HUD tapes it appears the HUD limits of the FPM should be a bit further out. As you can see in DCS the FPM is limited such that the numbers of the pitch line are on the DED first line's info: In real F-16 while the FPM is limited the pitch line numbers are right below the DED info: This is from a Norwegian F-16 which is probably a MLU modified F-16B. A block 40/42 F-16, closer to our DCS F-16 blk 50: The famous GCAS save video: This one is either a blk 40 or 50, not sure. In red is roughly how the FPM should be limited: I guess a radius increase in accordance with real F-16 limits as inferred from HUD tapes if the actual numbers are not available in manuals. 6. This is the one you mean
  7. I really hope it's simple enough, cause my missions all depend on these objects. Might have to revert to the previous version in the meanwhile.
  8. Hello 476 vFG you amazing people :). Any news on an update to this wonderful mod?
  9. I agree with OP, keep it up ED & I hope you continue keeping us in the loop so to speak and letting us know what is happening behind the scenes.
  10. I made a thread (link) on the bugs section about this and they labeled it as [missing track file], I don't see how this issue needs a track file as it's a known behaviour and doesn't require anything special to trigger (except maybe having many contacts in the same direction), plus I have finals nowadays and haven't opened DCS for weeks now. In my thread I linked to some example videos of real life Hornet HUD tapes which prove that it's impossible to get contacts to bunch up on eachother in those real life HUDs (therefore I assumed in those vidoes they had offset mode on), plus many others that I haven't linked. Edit: I also haven't ever experienced the problem the OP mentions until last I played the game (using last OB update when it came out IIRC).
  11. Lol, nice throttles you got there.
  12. I agree with folks here. While I truly and deeply appreciate every single step from ED towards realism, the real throttle in the F-18 probably has a much finer and precise slew control than the "nipple" that we get in the warthog throttle, which is not even representative of the real slew switch in the Warthog. An option in the misc tab would be the best way to satisfy all of us here. :xmas:
  13. I remember seeing one of Greg Brett's videos, before disabling his channel, where the DDI's did what you just described without him touching the OSB's, assumingly by selecting one of the AA modes on the HOTAS. So while I have not seen this happen in the sim yet (limited play time), if it's there I think it's intended behaviour and realistic. Edit: In case you don't know, Gregory was a RL Hornet pilot who uploaded many of his flights on youtube.
  14. Any chance a mod can change the missing track tag please? :xmas:
  15. Yep, I already know that. Was mentioning it so that whoever watches the track knows when i begin using the g-override switch. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
