  1. I feel the same! It has happened in the patch before this weeks or the one before that. I dont use rudder pedals (yet), so the change with going from 0 to 100% brake effect with a click of a button is very much noticable, with black brake skid marks whenever wheelbrake's applied above 50 km/h or around that. When it comes to the NWS i havn't noticed too big of a difference, but you are probably right about that.
  2. Thank's for the suggestions! Will definately look it up, but i will take my US trip as the primary opportunity to find a replacer, since its cheaper to buy there. Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
  3. Hi everyone! So i, like a lot of you guys, are using trackir when flying, which is golden! However, lately i have been experiencing some trouble with the detection of the program. I have come to the conclusion that it's most probably the Track clip that is beginning to see the end. It's kind of bent, and the reflective points (especially the top one) is beginning to get scratches, which in some way are making it very difficult to reflect the IR. The problem: I live in Sweden, and importing a new Trackclip via Naturalpoint costs almost twice as much as the piece itself, making it quite the... not best solution... And i have found no Swedish retailers for just the trackclip (or a trackclip pro for that matter) The possible solution (where you guys come in): In a short period of time I am travelling to the US for vacation. I will be in LA and (mainly) in San Diego. I have tried the google this but i cant really find anything useful, so: Do any of you have any idea where i might buy trackclips in the area of LA or San Diego? Any help would be useful! Thanks!
  4. Yeah would be great to get some info about this, nice to know im not the only one still waiting! Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
  5. As the team has assured us countless times, they are working hard to get the manual done before release so we can pre-viggen-study, so that is their stated intention! We will wait and see, patience is a virtue :) Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
  6. Hang in there buddy! You have approx. 814 hours to join the Viggen early access club!
  7. Even though we are all optimistic about tomorrow, let us not haste ourselves, "report what you know, not what you think" and "all messages that the resistance has ceased are false" and so on. To clarify, all that has been said, from both Wags and Cobra, is that shit is about to get real tomorrow. Nothing more specified than that ;) I, for one, will stay highly pessimistic until the opposite sits in my lap.
  8. One thing I am pretty certain of is that the first video is most probably filmed from a Saab 105 (SK60) trainer, and that is the engine sound they mostly make. So at 9:18, it should not be the RM8 we are hearing.
  9. From this cockpit view, you can really see how good of a sight the pilot has what is in front of him, regarding the design idea of a good view during high AOA landings in tricky situations like road strips. Landings should be rather forgiving when it comes to finding that centerline during short final, which is nice!
  10. That is some great ideas guys! Give away Viggen-modules to fellow hesitant forum members! Only need a good and correct way to do so in that case.
  11. I have my wingman sorted already! ;) I didn't know this was a thing, to just buy more keys, sounds like a plan! Even though my goal here is not to show appriciation of a specific product but rather the company, like: "merry christmas! this is for.... Le-le.... Leatherneck! for all you do no matter what". When Viggen comes out that is what i will do then, but if the devs have other ideas of possible ways, feel free! :)
  12. Even though I have not at all yet seen the final product (Viggen in this case) or what is to come in detail, I do think that Leatherneck earns some sort of gratitude more than just a "you can do it! we believe in you" and to buy the actual module/product. If it helps to contribute to the excellent work they are doing, have done, and will be doing, i would like to throw moneys at them. Is there a way, and where and how in that case?
  13. The thing here is that those wishing more for the tomcat than the viggen (or simply "tomcat ftw, **** the rest"-crew) have been breastfeeded info of the release order for several months, basically everyone that follows LNS knows this, some accepts it, but some refuses to be mature about it. The Viggen-crew have devotedly and humble been following and posting in the single AJS37-thread for almost 400 pages, minding our own business, and when we finally get the Viggen-subforum, many F14-fan gets triggered and just has to show their dissatisfaction for the whole existence of Viggen in THIS forum? time after time after time after time. And i would most certainly accept this if they all where unaware of the fact, which is the point in some cases. But when i see the same people in several parts of the forum, getting the same answer week after week ("sorry, but the tomcat is not ready, and will not be the next plane, come back in the beginning of next year for more nice tomcat-info"), and its getting obvious that they are ONLY HERE to spread negative posts of the Viggen, or LNS. Then, it's becoming annoying... Because, we, the viggen-fans, or NOT the ones to blame. With that being said, i am too longing for the Tomcat, and i understand that it's easy to get biased when we get the Viggen before. I dont know about you guys, am i completely off on this one?
  14. Even though i agree that the Gotland area would make the most sense sizewise, its hardly beneficial in any other way. Its basically the flattest and dullest terrain in sweden, it was mainly fighters and recon operated from the island, not attack, and i would almost not be able to tell the caucasus low land apart from Gotland. But that is of course just my point of view, maybe you guys could convince me of the opposite! Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
  15. F10 as well, i think F10 took over most of F6 Viggens for the last years of service. Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
  16. I think i read in the ajs discussion thread a couple of hundred pages back or so that is was just the initial 20 individuals that were unpainted while waiting for final approval of camo painting or something like that, but i was referring specifically to G52 in this case! :) Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
  17. Well, the "Show must go on" livery is an obvious one. Apart from that i just wish for some liveries from each of the AJS-wings, bonus points if the tail numbers represent the actual ones operated at the wings. Gustav 52s (The only airworthy AJS37 as of today) current metallic skin could also be a nice livery to have.
  18. Ah look at that! I was certain that i had looked through it all! It might very well be that as well!
  19. A little fun thing i noticed. By looking at the pictures as well as the video the Viggen displayed has the tail number 38. By using the wiki-link that has been posted here before (https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lista_%C3%B6ver_Saab_37_Viggen list of all viggens) i could identify it as ID number 37038, taken into service 18th of oct 1973, stationed at F6 and F7 wings, and crashed 10km North of Gällivare (northern Sweden) 8th of sep 1982. Ironically, therefore it wasn't upgraded from AJ to AJS. I dont mind that minor error tho, this evening was really magical to me, and i most say, that it has been an honor to follow this tread for almost a year now, and i am really proud to have waited this long with all of you, you are really something special! Thanks!
  20. For those of you that did not have the possibility to watch the livestream and/or requested a recording of the livestream (all credits to YT user Rlaxox for the upload), here it is in its entirety. IF YOU WHISH NO SPOILERS OF THE CONTENT OF THE STREAM BEFOREHAND, DO NOT READ THE TEXT UNDER THE LINK!
  21. Im just getting more and more nervous that you will, today of ALL days, come home and encounter internet connection problems or something like that.. did i just jinx this?? Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
  22. And in the end that is of course what matters the most! ;) but some larger peacetime primary airbases would also be nice! And along the coast, they are plentyfull with the F3, F13, F11, F18-wings to name some of the closest in the area! Would sure be interesting never the less! Skickat från min SM-G900F via Tapatalk
  23. Regarding terrain area, it would make the most sense in having it in the baltic region, preferably with coastline in both the Swedish east coast, as well as parts of the Estonian/Latvian/Kaliningrad coastline. I personally hope that the swedish coastline from Stockholm archipelago in the north to lets say Västervik/Oskarshamn in the south is included on the swedish side. Mostly because of the interesting terrain with the far stretching (in width and depth) archipelago. It would be a shame if the map consists of only Gotland when it comes to land areas as it adds no real news to the terrains that already exists (i.e. Caucasus lowlands), just a big flat island with one airbase. I know i have read that the terrain should be seen as a smaller project compared to the other terrains in the game or under developement, so unfortunately i think its to hope for too much that we will be able to operate from the real AJ/AJS37 bases which were located further in land. I would be more than happy though, to get to start my AJS37 along with AI JA37s from F13 Bråvalla (as made famous by the latest Viggen-video recently posted) in easthern direction, and navigate my way out of the St Anna archipelago between the small islands and skerrys at low alt and high speed, giving wind in the sails for the small sailboats, that just have recovered from the wake of the navys missile boats and destroyers. Releasing the heavy payload in the outher coast line and return to some road base south to rearm and refuel. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat...
  24. I get the feeling that i should be feeling like the kid here? ;) But thank you for the intel! I am of course completely with you on that one, of course i don't expect a rushed release. When it comes to DCS, i am only familiar with what i have seen on the forum (on where i have not been active for a very long time) and no, not very familiar with the way-of-leatherneck. No i dont expect all the information and people on the forums to be valid sources and yes, i too understand that this forum is not the only forum, and the only way to get in touch with the right people. I am excited never the less of what will come, this year or the next! :)
