Searching to remove metric system is like a knife to my heart... Imperial units should never even be in aviation in the first place. Heck I only fly continental europe WW2 planes and Russian jets for that particular reason.

Any module you are interested in will be fun to learn. If you want to go with the flow (the plebs) you would choose any of those famous american planes like F-16 or F-18 or F-14. Just seeing my name here im sure you would know i only drive the metric system stuff aka the red star machines.

Forest visibility you had before with other name on it - its basically Tree loading distance - keep the settings the same you had before. Details factors settings are new settings that can help you make your nature or objects less detailed. Before there was only 1.0 and now you can lower it down. If you want it to stay as before just keep it at 1.0 as you do.

To be honest i dont even know what should be my settings with I3-8100 (3.60 GHz, 4 cores), Nvidia 1060 (6GB) and 16 GB DDR4 RAM.

Im having weak PC of I3-8100, Nvidia 1060 (6GB version) and 16 GB of RAM so no matter if I use low or high settings situation is always the same. Good when im flying alone bad in multiplayer and close to other vehicles.

WW2 planes in DCS are like being an owner of a ww2 bird today. You have it in some hangar and take it for a spin at lazy Sunday afternoon. Nice clicky cockpits but atmosphere is zero to none. Then you try Il2 sturmovik planes without clicky cockpits but atmosphere is 10000 times better and more immersive.

Without reading much of previous posts, has anybody having crashing of DCS upon wanting to get out of mission (to main menu or desktop)?

It's a bit sad but in general red star machines have much slower updates than western machines. And i only buy red star machines. :-(

How to make metric as default? At this point i have to get into setting after each cold start to put everything back to metric. EDIT: other part of my question is solved by using doppler navigation.

Its hard to pick one because i like to mix around: For planes that would be MiG-15 or MiG-21 For helicopters: Mi-8 Depends of the mood but those 3 are my go to machines.

Modern stuff is too much about operating systems. xxxx different missiles, radar driven, heat seekers, monitors and stuff that moves the pilot from being just a damn pilot. Korea was perfect time in history. Where you got best pilot experience of WW2 into jets. Best from both worlds. My first jet was MiG-21 and thats too modern for me.

Timezone is a problem i cant play most of the time. But disparity of sabres numbers vs mig is reality. More americans should get to the red side. Timezone problem could be solved be having a mid-ground with europeans. I know i have to play later in a day just not that late. 20:00 h CET is a good balance. Cant play at midnight for many reasons and even if i could by brain and eyes are dead at that point.

Im willing at EURO afternoons and during the daytime over weekend. Also "Korea" being american server means some americans should stop living the cold war and just fly MiGs. You cant have "pledge to the flag" stuff and having 10 americans fighting ghosts on empty server. Being a MiG leader means nothing if that leader doesn't have any pilot to command below him.

Im willing to play and learn ways of the MiG-15. As long people play in europe friendly hours.

I have died a few times by following a jet closer range than i should have.

I dont get it why main team of developers cant put some tweaks inside the map like that.

Dont give them ideas... We could have 10 new maps sold for 60 bucks and all would be deserts.

Soviets understand my need for metric units so i fly their planes and helcopter only in DCS.

I would like more they bring BALKAN theatre (90s war) or GERMANY map (80s east and west Germany). Maps which include sand and dunes are well... same old, same old.

I love metric system but english language + Russian icons on the map :-) Some people said numbers are just numbers and not important but damn i like my kilometres.

I think FC3 will be removed from the market and those planes would be absorbed in MAC. You will still have all of your planes. They will be upgraded as before. Just you would not have whole MAC planeset.

i think you need to save your devices separately. Example: Joystick_MiG21.lua and Throttle_MIG21.lua

They are just a company... Why thanking them for doing what companies do ? Its like thanking Milka for discount on chocolate or a new taste or thanking Nike for shoes discount over christmas.

For starters Im flying with 30 curvature for all axis. Really think i need this to make to controls smooth when trying to be precise.
