  1. @BIGNEWYappreciate the reply. Agree that you have kept the community informed. Understand that you are only the messenger also. You are a conduit between ED and the community, and vice versa. I hope you relay to the powers what community sentiment is on various topics. Moving forward, perhaps the “no hotfix”/ fixed patch cycle policy should be reconsidered. ED already are not sticking to a schedule as evidenced by the delay in this update. Recognise that this problem (caused by Meta) rendered DCS totally unusable for a number of users, for weeks. ED could have fixed it. ED SHOULD have fixed it last week!
  2. @BIGNEWY the patch was supposed to be released a few days ago. Then we get told it will be the 10th. Should we realistically expect further delay? I think the lack of “hotfix” option is very frustrating. How many times an ED update “broke” something that required a hotfix, I cannot remember. Bad decision IMHO from a customer service perspective. i look forward to the next punter to post some sort of reply along the lines of “do you even code, bro?.” - joining my ignore list along with #shwitsbag or whatever their name is/was. Very unhappy at ED for having a fix, but not hotfixing.
  3. Is this a joke!? Told to wait for fix… Waited to be told when that would be. Waited until then Then told to wait some more. Not a happy customer. workarounds do not work for me. I didn’t pay to play in 2d.
  4. any chance we can get an estimate from ED on when fix/next update might be? Not happy that ED have elected not to hotfix for benefit of so many users.
  5. Very disappointed that there won’t be a hotfix. The workaround didn’t work for me. I’m AOG . When is the estimate for next patch? please review decision, thank you.
  6. Above workaround not working for me. DCS crashes during loading. V63 oculus app on PC. very frustrating!
  7. A all the way. Nostalgia. And AB takeoffs and cat shots.
  8. Hello, Experienced CV operator here, returning to the F/A-18 in 2.9 after a hiatus. Is anyone else noticing distinct ground effect over the ramp of SC causing flying out of slot and bolter? TIA
  9. Awesome Idea. I agree OnReTech should strive to improve assets already in the map. At the moment the Israeli bases have a a generally correct layout, but their appearance in-sim is only a passing resemblance to the real life facitities. Its an amazing 1st step, for which Im grateful - but a lot of improvements can be made. OnReTech - keep up the greast work. Our fingers a crossed that you will deliver!
  10. Hello, When on approach to many runways at most airports in Israel, there are trees close to or on the approach paths on short final. The F-16 profile is noticeably shallower than a conventional aircraft which is flying nominal 3 degrees approach (5%) to 1000’ aimpoint. F-16 is 2.5 degrees to threshold which results in many trees interfering with correct procedure. Please remove trees in approach splays. Thank you
  11. Love it. The Details at Ramon are similar to Ovda. There will be a lot of transferability. I think removal of most of the trees at both locations will be a good 1st step.
  12. I found these pics on a modelling facebook page. They show ACCURATE detail of the HAS shelters including signs, taxiway markings and other details that would be an amazing addition to the shelters at Ramon, Ovda, Navatim and Hatzerim. Detailed photos of these areas are difficult to come-by, but this modeler has absolutely nailed them 100%. I wish to commend OnReTech on what is shaping up to be a spectacular map. I hope the details pictured below can be implemented. Thank you The pic below shows the taxiline markings common with this type of HAS complex. Most of the lines are yellow, except the straight lines leading out of the shelter - which are white. As mentioned in another post - the shelters should all face one direction (toward runway). The yellow lines that run atg angles from the axis of the central taxiway are guidance lines for positioning aircraft on return to the HAS complex. Once shut down, the aircraft are pushed back into the HAS. At Ramon the Interior of the shelters have yellow surface markings. The pic below is from NEVATIM, but it is similar. I think that, in the above pics, the modeler has used OVDA as the basis for his creation
  13. Hello Is there a way to reduce the trees (number and size) in the vicinity of IAF Ramon and Ovda? Ive seen both places in person and they are both extremely arid. Ramon is covered in dirt/rocks/stones. Only small bushes, except where planted in vicinity of squadron buildings etc, You can get a good impression by looking at Google Earth/Bing maps. Here are a couple of pics showing representative terrain at both bases.
  14. Hello, Please find attatched image depicting HAS complex at Ramon. (similar layout to other bases) The HAS all face in same direction IRL = toward runway. In DCS Sinai map, they are opposed with one side of the complez facing the wrong direction.
  15. My module wish-list consists predominantly of early F-16 variants. My dream dev would of course be HB. Can you imagine the magic they could achieve? I can see the preview now, orange glow of the LED type characters on the SMS, electromechanical instruments flicking and whirring. Rear aspect IR missiles still a thing. WVR and Iron Bombs. Holeeee Sheeeit!!!
  16. Skate -awesome post. im hoping for a lot XXV
  17. I too have a relationship with both aircraft. I own both and have developed a good understanding of both The F-14 is pure passion for me. Heatblur created a stunning beauty. She's so entertaining to fly and a challenge to fly well. Analog, steam driven and pure nostalgia. YMMV, but my experience, flying SP, is that Jester AI is not good enough. Having said that - I'm so happy trying to perfect my CASE 1 CV flying, A-A refuelling and BFM against AI - Most of your learning in F-14 will be "handling" her. you will need good flight controls to take advantage of this The Hornet is more advanced with a LOT of bells n whistles. Designed for operation by single crew member, I can do more with "it". But thats not the point. "It" is digital, quite modern, VERY easy to fly. Most of your learning will be "systems". You will need good HOTAS to take advantage of this. Do you want "Handling" and passion or "Systems" and effectiveness? I fly F-14. Anytime, Baby. Good luck and enjoy whatever you choose.
  18. I had this too yesterday SP Fear the bones mission #1
