  1. Hi all, I solved the problem. The company hosting the server (SoYouStart, an OVH company) is using a "Game Mitigation UDP Firewall" wich is set by default to only allow UDP traffic for TeamSpeak 3, Half-Life 2 / Source and Mumble. All other UDP traffic is blocked. It is specific only to Game Server at SoYouStart. I created a special rule for DCS port and SRS port (they both use UDP) and it was fixed. Nothnig to do with IPv6 which is not activated on this server by the way. Hope this will help others with similar issue
  2. Hello there, We have encountered an issue with our new server. DCS is version is 2.7.5.10869. Instances appears in the "My servers" section on diigitalcombatsimulator.com but don't show up in the lobby. Users can't connect via IP they get the errror message: "Server offline" But any client that first connects to the host via Remote Desktop Protocol can then see the server and connect. After rebouting client's PC, the server is gone until he reconnects via RDP first. This makes no sense to me. I followed a trail about IPv6 but can't get myu head around it. Has anyone come across this problem before? Thanks for your replies.
  3. Just so you know, I have been contacted by another user suffuring from the same issue. He also had a dash in the username he was using. Don't recall his OS. I am happy to know you've managed to reproduce the bug. Keep up the good work.
  4. Hi Rik, The username I am using is reported in support ticket #88502. Could you reopen the ticket, I would upload a log file to you. And yeah it was the same issue, only poorly explained by me on the previous thread but accurately described in support ticket #88502. Thank you for your help.
  5. Hi everyone, I reopen this subject as it has been closed by @USSR_Rik. I have finally found why I can browse UP to the root directory (ie. /Saved Games/) but can't browse down to child directories of /Saved Games/ The username I was using (C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\) contained a dash ("-") which is screwing up with the "Browse Down" feature in the Web GUI. I removed the dash and solved the problem. May be ED could take a look to that and squash this bug? Thanks anyway, Cheers,
  6. Bump Nobody is experiencing this issue ? I am running a Windows server 2016 by the way. That may be something important to consider.
  7. First, try to reach WebGUI from localhost, this way you can check if the webGUI is working without asking yourself if the firewall is configured properly. If you can reach the webGUI on localhost, check your firewall. If you cannot, check you have defined webGUI port (webgui_port = 8080) in \savedgames\my.dcs.instance\config\autoexec.cfg If you still can't reach the WebGUI on localhost, you might have another software using port 8080. Hope one of these will help you out.
  8. Thanks everyone, I have finally tested a setup with a Xeon CPU and it works very well. I am using a Xeon E5-1630v3@3,7 Ghz, 4 DCS dedicated instances, 25 vPilots, 10% CPU consumption, everything is running smoothly.
  9. Welcome aboard and keep up the good work.
  10. Hi, I cannot browse the directories after clicking on the + button on the WEB GUI. I am stuck at the root "Saved Games" folder. I can run miz from there but it is not very convenient. I don't understand what is going on. It is the same user that runs the server that owns the folders. Do you experience something similar? Cheers,
  11. Thanks ElementLT, I do not worry about CPU perfs as dedicated server use very little CPU time. I do worry about the lack of SSE4 instruction set on Xeon CPUs. I do not know the impact of this on DCS. But I am glad to know that with enought RAM and a good SSD, DCS Dedicated is running well. Thanks mate,
  12. Hi everyone, I am wondering if you guys have tried DCS Dedicated (no render) with Xeon CPU. What is your feedback on this kind of setup? Cheers,
  13. I have the same issue. Connecting to WebGUI through localhost is working, connecting to WebGUI through DCS website was working yesterday, but today I am having the same 404 error on all my DCS instances.
  14. Hi everyone, I have this issue where I can't browse the Saved Games Dir in the WebGUI. When I want to add a .miz, the pop up window opens on /Saved Games/, I can see the folders in it but when I click/double click on them, nothing happens. I can't browse those folders. I am running dedicated servers with -w option, the user currently running the server is the owner of the /Saved Games/ folder. I don't understand what I am missing. Has anyone a clue? Cheers,
  15. Ok then. I only have the M2000, don't fly other modules.
  16. Because this module is bugged as hell! To fill the external tanks, remove them, set fuel to 100%, ask for rearm/refuel, when it is done reopen the menu and add the fuel tank again.
  17. Hi awjudge, could you give me some advise on how you managed to run multiple instances on the same server? Thanks
  18. I have the same problem when using --server, splashscreen then crash.
  19. Hi @USSR_Rik, I have a lot of questions about the dedicated server behavior and usage: 1. Why ".\DCS.exe --webgui --norender" would display the DCS WORLD splashscreen? 2. Is it normal to have crash at launch when using this specific command: ".\DCS.exe --server" 3. How do you use the -w command to allow multiple instances of the server? 4. As I understand it, you are working on allowing other people to connect to the web GUI (people with accounts different from the one used on the server. Am I right? 5. What are the minimum specs to run a dedicated server? Could you be a bit more specific about the command usage, what they do, how to use it. Thanks a lot, keep up the good work.
  20. Thanks for that, I am usualy optimistic and was a fervent supporter of Razbam, but with time, this support has fainted. I am not asking for a 100% bug free module, no computer software can claim that. Just to have more Unit Tests (testing each function developed or modified) and do some Non-Regression Tests on the perimeter of the function. To confirme the new updates have not broken something else. That's basic 101 software development test principles and good practices.
  21. To me the topic is "Hey Folks, we made a new update but it is unfortunately buggy (Non working springloaded switches), here's the way to fix it". And we are discussing the "It's buggy" part. If I was to open a new thread on this off-topic subject, it would go into a flame war in an instant, the topic would be closed and we would not be talking about it. I would be very thankfull to anyone who can tell me how we can talk about this without it been censored or denigrated.
  22. Although this is off topic again (please point me in the right direction if you know the good thread to talk about that, I didn't find any), I'll try again to express what a lot of people seams to feel. We all know what Beta is for. We understand errors and bugs can slip through. We are not debating that. What does bother me alot here is the level of amateurism Razbam is displaying regarding their modules updates. Each time they produce something, it is breaking something else. We are talking Quality Control process failure here. I am quoting : "Although this first goes through both internal and closed-external testing, it is possible for errors to slip through". What is said here without having to spell things out is there is at least two more branches to the tree : Dev, Nightly Build and the two public ones Beta and Stable. How such bugs as those debated here (motion speed, knobs doing weird stuff, secured swiches that can be actuated through their secure caps) have been through all those layers without been spotted by the "Test Team", if such thing exists at Razbam's? Some of you guys are very conscilient with Razbam's way of doing things. I'm part of those who are tired of it and I have the right to express it without beeing thrown in the mud by you almight forum lords, nor beeing censored for saying it. I don't expect you to understand, but as a customer, I expect more consideration. In my last, already censored, comment on this forum, I was expressing concerns about Razbam's future. One could tell me they are doing fine and it is not of my business. But I can't stop thinking how will they do an Eagle E with so many complexe systems if they can't manage switches in the Mirage. Once again, you are asking premium price for you products, please Razbam, deliver premium products. And please don't talk to me about other modules history, this should not be a race to the bottom. It's not because the others are lame that it should be a standard. Thank you for having reading me.
