  1. will we get ab detent gate options like in fa-18?
  2. obviously already in their plans not worth making a thread for
  3. i dont think the people who really want nukes actually care a whit about either nuclear ethics or combat aviation. but they'll say anything if it gets them their way lmao
  4. positively infantile behavior on display
  5. the rudders are extremely powerful and will very quickly roll you if you do need to at high aoas.
  6. im also curious if anyone can shed light on aoa limiter behavior? the slabs have a flapping effect -- at 26+ degrees aoa they'll immediately reduce to half deflection before returning to max as soon as aoa drops, which can create a violent rocking/porpoising motion.
  7. is this really real? amazon and apple both vehemently denying this. hard to tell who is telling the truth anymore. https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2018/10/what-businessweek-got-wrong-about-apple/ https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/security/setting-the-record-straight-on-bloomberg-businessweeks-erroneous-article/
  8. there are many other fun things to do in this world.
  9. of course
  10. man i dunno that planform looks awfully familiar, like a certain carrier based aircraft that boeing keeps rehashing...
  11. [backpedalling intensifies] There's a thing called private messages and email for direct messaging. You post in a public forum, its implicitly directed to the public.
  12. i think this was a bad precedent.
  13. dog what are you smoking???
  14. if it sounds too good to be true it is
  15. what do you want me to say, "i too make assumptions about things i know nothing about"?? natops simply say to drop gear below 250kts. everything else is your imagined physics.
  16. considering heatblurs track record, i'd rather not. it would be frustrating for everyone involved.
  17. yeah no a look into any module subforum begs to differ
  18. better iteration of that would be to have userdefined pools for redfor and blufor units. however even better yet would be to just play multiplayer the fewer people that play, the harder it is for everyone to find a fight, so do your part and fly online.
  19. its pretty simple, release is the backup for when openbeta is waiting to get hotfixed for unplayable bugs.
  20. when your throwing arm forms the basis of your understanding of physics, you've got a long way to go.
  21. you need to use the mission editor -- you'll want to use it not only to set up your own custom scenarios but also to curate the random mission generator: after you generate mission, hit the edit mission button. dont forget you can open up any mission with a structure that you like and then change around the units to suit your desired scenario.
  22. its a mistake to think that when aircraft designs advance, they get better in every aspect. every aircraft design is a compromise, you need to be aware that if you want to be able to fly fast, you're never going to be as good flying slow as an aircraft designed for a lower airspeed envelope.
  23. have doubts about financial viability of this, its a lot of work for something few people would enjoy and even fewer would fly on a regular basis as an ai model? absolutely just put every airplane in history as an ai model already
  24. wut wow :megalol::megalol::doh: yeah dude just like fly a warthog up to 42000ft lmao
  25. did you bother to factcheck anything? no. if you even made the most modest attempt to, you would have at least gone back to the original source, which is to say, pogo from which this was regurgitated from. pogo though is the actual farce here -- despite their officious sounding name, they're just another propaganda interest group. they're majorly funded by phil straus, whose father is/was a board member of mother jones, a leftist tabloid. [courtesy elementsofpower.blogspot.com] pogo has absolutely no expertise in this matter and i'm not even going to take the time to begin to shoot holes in their spin because there are so many things wrong with it. you should be ashamed to even have bought into this drivel as a combat aviation enthusiast, playing dcs [even as incomplete of a simulation as it is of the matter] should have shed enough insight on what constitutes real priorities in cas.
