    Cannot get the Guns CCIP rectile on the HUD?

    I've watched several videos on this and I can't get it to work..  I even just did the GAU tutorial, and it was the same..  no joy.  🤨

    I have master arm on, and gun pac armed.  I have the hud set to soi.  I press the MMCB and the hud appears to change through 4 slightly different huds, but only one shows a tiny cross in a dashed circle at the top of the hud, and says ARM in the bottom left.   The other 3 are all the same.  ARM is gone, and there is only a small cross above center of the hud.   And none of them show the Ammo type or quantity on the left.  The word GUNS never appears on the hud.  And when I press DMS left and right just a 0 or 4 appear on the left side of the hud.

    Does anybody know where this 'tempMission.lua' file is?  It doesn't exist in that folder.  And Grok said it was a dynamically generated temp file when you create kneeboards.  So, I'm also wondering why it's being called from DCS at all?

    Fair Point.  I missed that.

    I installed a brand new clean install of DCS to test with.  Loading it to the game main menu got 96 errors.  After flying the su-25t and P-51 I had 140 errors.   117 of those errors are those negative drag errors.  Each time I fly a new aircraft I get new errors for them.   

    This makes if much more difficult to find errors you can fix.  Even though this is a very complicated program, with many different 3rd party developers, they should periodically have everyone clean up their errors!  I'm going to install all of my modules today, and see how many errors I get.  I'm guessing around 300...

    Just got back into the F4 and my music didn't work anymore.  It's been a while..  Has this been officially fixed yet??

    I read on the Heatblur manual website that if you delete the sdef.tar file in the sounds folder it should create a new one with your sound files in it?  

    I'm using .wav files and this worked for me.

     

    Anyone tried putting these files in the Saved Games folder?

    This parameter has stopped working!? --force_enable_vr

    Ok, I found the problem.  The parameters are (from some reason) case sensitive!!! 🙄  I had --force_enable_vr, not --force_enable_VR!!?   Any good coder knows to change the case to Upper or Lower before any comparison that doesn't need to depend on the case of the letters.   It's just a standard to reduce user errors, trouble tickets, threads like this.  Oh well, after 3 weeks I figured it out.  😊

    I have been using --force_enable_vr for a long time with DisplayMagician to launch several apps first, and then DCS in VR.

    But the other day, I noticed that the  --force_enable_vr  parameter stopped working.   It does not launch me into VR anymore.  

    Does it still work for you epoch??

    I have moved from Win10 to Win11 and am setting up my rig.  When I click the 'Build Custom Kneeboard' button, it puts the files in these folders:

    • ..\Saved Games\Data
    • ..\Saved Games\Kneeboard

    I thought these folders used to be in these folders:

    • ..\Saved Games\DCS\Data
    • ..\Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard

    I just may be confused, ... or has something changed?

    WTH is this!!?? SimAppPro is in my Task Manager/Startup with 100s of entries: PwrShell; Conhost; Net; Net1; cscript;;;;;;;

    I don't care so much about it being installed in the AppData.   Just have always thought that was strange.  But after a quick look, I see a ton of .exes in Local.

    Can you take a screenshot of your SimAppPro in the Task Manager/Startup tab?  Just so I can see if they are the same?

    I just installed a clean version of Windows 11 Pro a few weeks ago and am getting everything setup.   Today I noticed this..   SimAppPro is enabled in the Startup tab of Task Manager.  And when you click the little > arrow to see what all it's doing, I found this ridiculous list of crap!

    Is SimAppPro Spying on me??? 
    I immediately disabled it.. I don't need it running all the time, and blocked it from the firewall to see what happens.

    VSN New F-104 Mod

    Ok, I got some time off and going to try this again..

    Are there any English instructions on how to install the 104 and other mods?  

    It seems that FC3 no longer exists, so after looking at a reference in the entry.lua to the F-15 from FC3, I installed that.  I can get into the cockpit now, and my stick works.  But my Throttle doesn't work.  I press PgUp/Dn and that doesn't work even though it's assigned.  I found that the Np+/- work.   

    Are we supposed to download that 1st file in the list on pCloud?  And do what with it?  Sorry if I have missed reading something..  But I've never seen any detailed instructions the few times I've tried to install this..

    Ok, I see there's a difference in the mounting plate..   

    I cannot see the underside of the Pimax Crystal Light version.  Is it concave?  Like the Crystal Light's hump in the middle?

    F-4E Phantom II - TapePlayer Cassette 'Labels' Mods

    This mod changes the Labels on the F-4E TapePlayer Cassette Tapes.

    You can Read about the F-4E's TapePlayer here.

    It includes a custom label for the Video Tape.
    And 3 different Labels for the Music Tape.

    These mods were made using Open Mod Manager, and include Thumbnails & Descriptions for it's Mod Info panel.  They can also be installed for use with OvGME.  And of course, you can manually install them(backup original Misc.zip first!)
