You should pm Capt Zeen. He gave a friend some help on his MiG 21 Helios profile. (It's awesome BTW!) And got all the Gauges working. He doesn't have the AV8B, But maybe he can get you Started in the right direction? Or if you gift him a Harrier maybe he'll write the export.lua code? Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

I'll try that next time I'm in VR. In real life I never hold anything 5 inches from my face to read it. I have tested this mostly in the A10c, and if it were the distance of the cockpit it would be much better. But 5 inches in front of your face is far from the cockpit. And now Oculus is broken. It failed on an update and so I tried to uninstall it to reinstall it. Now it's not uninstalled, and it's not listed in the list of apps, so I cannot uninstall it. OR Support is stumped. I am starting to think the OR software is a POS after that last update/patch fiasco and now this stupid stuff. Plus they don't support Steam very well. My next VR may not be OR. Anyhow... a little OT..

Actually I think I had it backwards. I think that the messages are too close. Double vision would indicate that the object is very close and I am focusing past them. Just hold your finger in front of your eye and focus on anything else. It's like the messages are 5 inches in front of you. Or something like that.. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

Introducing the VKB-Sim ‘Modern Combat Grip’ (MCG)
Snacko replied to rrohde's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Totally Agree! Just got my GF Mk2 MCG and am looking for a video tutorial on the VKBDevCfg program. That thing looks very powerful, but it needs a video for sure!! Is there any video tutorials for that thing??:cry::cry: -

Thanks. The plastic parts on the right I think are actually short flat plastic tubes? Still no idea what they are. Unless they are for a Warthog or the extension??? Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk -

Is there any tutorials on how to use Wizzo? Didn't find any on YouTube.. Any documentation on this software? What are these parts for? (see attached pic) -
Introducing the VKB-Sim ‘Modern Combat Grip’ (MCG)
Snacko replied to rrohde's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
Mine too! Very Nice! But the documentation leaves a bit to be desired... I have some leftover parts that I don't know what they are for. One plastic bag has what looks like tops for buttons/hats, and another bag has about 8-10 little black square pieces of plastic. The box was very nice and well packed, but only had a quick start guide, which had 5 steps. Some steps only had one or two words. 'Preparation'; 'Grip Setup'. But I figured out how to put it together.. Is there any 'more detailed' product manual? Do I need some software? Nothing in the instructions said anything about needing or downloading anything... Found this: I have no idea which to download... http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Programms/ -
On the Keyword tab you can do an Export and see all of the commands that are in the VIACOM database. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

Thanks guys. That is all very helpful!

I recently purchased VAICOM Pro for VoiceAttack, and am just trying to learn what all of the Radio Comms commands mean/do. I understand most of them, but here are a few that I need a definition for.. I have never done JTAC, so I am not clear on these commands: JTAC: Request BDA - (what is BDA?) Sparkle Snake Pulse Steady Rope Contact Sparkle Shift Flight Commands: Out Cold Datalink Target
-
The trial version of Voiceattack says that it only allows 1 profile and 20 commands. I would support the developer and buy it. You will use more than one profile anyhow. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

That works great! Thanks. Also, you have this Log message when I start a mission: 10:34:39 AM - PlayerNew callsign at unit callsign Enfield11 module A-10C Warthog What does "at unit" mean? It would be nice if it could list the name of the airport that I am at? Not sure if this is possible. But to contact the tower, it would be nice. I would not have to go lookup the airport name on the map. Or maybe another exposed property with the airport name?

New Alias. That's what I thought. But I didn't see an explaination for the Add New button. BTW, the Export feature is very handy. And, why is there no spoon? Not even a spork?
-
Is the Keyword Editor only used edit existing commands for each Category? I mean,.. it is not used to add new commands like Flaps Up, Flaps Down? External View, Flyby View? These type of commands I assume need to be just added straight into VoiceAttack like a normal VA command? I see it has an 'Add New' button, but I didn't find a specific explanation on that button. EDIT: Also, this definition in the Keyword Reference for the Sender parameter is confusing: Instead of Enfield, should it not say Springfield? And this 'Note' has to do with the Recipient, not the sender? Sorry, just working through the documentation making myself some custom Kneeboards. ;-)

I believe that you can only remove the airport charts. There is a checkbox option in preferences to do that.. Sent from my Moto Z Play using Tapatalk

This has bothered me for a while. When in the cockpit in VR, the Radio, Messages, ReArm/Refuel menus seem too far away. If you close each eye, you can see that the two images are much further apart than the cockpit and HUD. This makes the objects appear at a distance. They are so far apart the they appear further away than the cockpit frame and HUD. But they are drawn on 'top' of the Cockpit and HUD. This makes no sense and makes it hard for my brain to accept. So, I usually see these menus as double-vision because my brain can't make sense of it. This seems like a bug to me. If in fact these 3D menu objects exist outside the cockpit according to their perspective, this is wrong.

Awesome! Works great! Thanks! :punk::kiss: :punk:

The latest build on your website say that it is v2.5.1. I have v2.5.1 installed from a few days ago. But it does not remember where it last was positioned on my screen. Is there some option I need to turn on?
-
Is it possible to have the Vaicompro window remember it's location on the desktop? I have a certain place that I always put it, but it doesn't remember where it was.
-
Not sure what is wrong. I am just starting to use this for the first time. I am using 'Map single to multi' and set SNGL to TX4. I have Easy Communications on in the game settings. I am in an F-15 and have turned on the Electric. Then I request to start engines. But nothing happens... VoiceAttack log window says: So, it recognized and processed my Startup request. But the game menus don't open and no radio comms were processed in the game.
-
That should be as easy as putting on a little button and sending a keystroke. Helios can be confusing at first. But just sending keystrokes is fairly easy once you figure out how to do one. Then you can do all of them quickly. And there are some basic tutorials on how to use Helios on Youtube.

I have had this happen for a while, and Saturday it just was really annoying me since I was setting up my mods for the new 2.5 release. I entered the Server screen, and my Integrity Shield was Green! So I tried to join BuddySpike and after the long, long, wait with 1 fps, it finally 'partially' loaded the aircraft selection screen, then kicked me back to the Main Menu!! (This is very annoying) So, I tried went to the Server list again and now my Integrity Shield was Orange!?!? So, after looking at the long list of Mig21 cockpit dds files, I exited the game and removed all of my Mig-21 mods. Then I loaded up the game and on the Server List the Integrity Shield was Green again! Yea!! I clicked on it to see if any list popped up, but nothing popped. So, I joined BuddySpike again, and after another long, long loading wait it did it again!! Same thing. then kicked back to the Main Menu again. So, on the Server screen now my Integrity Sheild was Orange now!?? Why was it not Orange before I joined the servers???? This time, there was one line I had not noticed before with all of the 20+ Mig21 dds files listed. It was for the M2000. So, once again I exited the game and removed the M2000 cockpit mod. And started all over, again.. Once again, I loaded the Server Screen, and saw the Green Integrity Sheild(at this point green means nothing..), and loaded BuddySpike. And wait, and waited for the long loading time. This time it loaded me up to the BuddySpike aircraft selection screen, but once again(for the 3rd time) it was only partially drawn on the screen, and then I got kicked to the Main menu. Now this time, the second time I go to the Server screen, my Shield was still green. So, I even thought I got kicked back to the Main Menu, I did not have any integrity issues. So, I tried to join BuddySpike for the 6th time and it loaded quickly and I was able to get into the cockpit. This problem with the Integrity Shield not being Yellow from the Start has happened before in the Beta, but I had just gone though all of this last January and fixed it back then. This should not happen. The Shield should indicate an Integrity Violation BEFORE you join and wait to load any servers.
