  1. I have a pair but I'm thinking about adding at least one. These unit acts like a regular USB game controller so this shouldn't be a problem, right? /Richard
  2. Just got this from the kind people over at Thrustmaster. So I assume that all holes are in the right places :) "The .Flight U.S. Air Force Edition uses a unidirectional noise-cancelling microphone, it means that only picks up sound from a specific side or direction of the microphone. In the external microphone part you can find a noise cancellation feature that the main function is to block the ambient sounds."
  3. No, unfortunately the small hole will always face the mouth unless I twist it (which will probably break it...). I also think that the boom stoppes in the "straight-up-zero-degree-position". Well, I have also contacted the TM support regarding this but considering my previous communications with them I expect a reply sometimes in the early summer. 2020. I agree. :)
  4. I recently had to replace my worn out wireless Logitech headset and as a flight sim nerd I of course had to go with the TM T.Flight U.S. Air Force Edition headset! I'm very happy with the comfort and sound quality but I'm struggling to get the headset to work properly with the VoiceAttack voice recognition software. The recognition rate is sometimes really bad. Hopefully I will eventually get there tweaking the settings, but I'm a bit concerned about the placement of the small holes on the microphone boom - facing my mouth there is one small hole but on the other side of the boom there are several holes? Is that correct? Note that the manual clearly states that you should not twist the microphone. :)
  5. Could it be the one mentioned in this thread? (Version 1.11 posted by SonofEil) https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=65901
  6. Just ordered one. I prefer the original parts untouched. Just in case. I believe this is my first 3D printed thingamajig. I'm so excited! :smilewink:
  7. Hi, Anyone know the design philosophy behind the Spitfire's seemingly crude flaps? Two positions where the lowered position seems to be acting more like an airbrake... :)
  8. A couple of weeks ago when I was cleaning out the bedroom top wardrobes I stumbled across (not really, I know they’ve been there for years…) my carefully and lovingly stowed flight sim gear. I removed the bubble wrap and touched the cold and sturdy stick – and felt a strong and familiar desire. From a gaming point of view, I’ve spent the last couple of years grabbing various kinds of steering wheel in the virtual world of (car) racing but the time has come to take to the skies again! And what I wonderful sky it is. Now having a good set of PC hardware, I feel that I can enjoy DCS World and its modules even more. I have already spent far too much blue cheese in a short time on various modules such as the F/A-18, AV-8B and the Tomcat but the quality and attention to detail in these modules are astounding. This is going to be fun! Best Regards, Richard
  9. Hi, Whenever I make a change to a controller config in the games Controller Options GUI, must I also select "Save Profile as" or is it automatically saved? I always create a unique controller LUA file for every aircraft. :)
  10. Asked the question and got this (peculiar?) reply from TM. Note: I did not specifically target the Tech Support. Dear Richard Ingelsson, Thank you for contacting Thrustmaster Tech Support We do not have any information that we know of on a new F / A-18 joystick. I'm sure the social media will be the first to come out with such information; if it ever happens but for now, we have no info. Thanks To ensure the most efficient follow-up of your query, please answer directly to this email (do not open a new ticket). Kind regards, Your Thrustmaster Customer Support Agent, Nancy http://support.thrustmaster.com
  11. Hi, Perhaps not a showstopper but when I go into the control panel and choose the TM Cougar MFD or the TM T-Flight Rudder Pedals I get the dedicated TM control panel but with the TM HOTAS Warthog (stick or throttle) I get the Windows control panel. Now, everything seem to be working fine, but should I expect the TM control panel also with the TM HOTAS Warthog? :) Screenshot from PDF manual
  12. What will happen with the dual installs I have right now - DCS World 1.5 and DCS World 2/NEVADA Test and Training Range Map - when everything is released for real? Will there be some kind of merging of the two?
  13. Guys, don't get me wrong - one of the things that I adore with DCS World and its modules is the attention to detail and that it's not a "Lets scramble and shoot stuff!" type of flight simulator. I always try to learn the procedures the right way when I purchase a module (lately the L-39 Albatros and the startup procedure for this bird was a mouthful...) but sometimes - depending on my mood - it's just nice not having to flick all the switches... But the startup procedure for the Mirage seems pretty straightforward, so I will of course give it a try. And perhaps there will be some training missions when the module has left beta? We have come a long way since my first Flight Simulator - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_Simulation_(Psion_software
  14. Now, like many other before me I must apologize for not finding what's supposedly already been answered (god, I hate the average forum search function... ) Is there any way to start the M-2000C the easy way? Simplification = just flick that darn switch already!
