  1. Solved. First, neither of my “Saved Games” folders had a “Location” tab under Properties. Researching this I found that no Location tab indicates the two folders I had were your everyday folders - not SYSTEM folders. Since they contained nothing, I deleted them. I then scanned the Registry to ensure there were no hard links to a “Saved Games” folder locations. Second, I visited this site (https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/23504-restore-default-location-personal-folders-windows-10-a.html) and downloaded ALL the *.bat files on this page (for future use if needed). I then ran the *.bat file to create the “Saved Games” folder, and verified that was successful. I then restarted DCS which kicked off the creation of a new DCS folder in the Saved Games location. Verified this as well. Lastly, ran DCS and did a training lesson with a save track option at the debriefing. Exited the game and looked in “….\Saved Games\DCS\Tracks” to verify saved track. Finally, reviewed the DCS.log file and verified that the Saved Games folder was found successfully. Hope this helps any future users with this problem.
  2. After an almost 8 year hiatus, I recently re-installed DCS World on my PC. While looking at some file stuff related to DCS, I noticed that my “Saved Files\DCS” folder was installed in “….\Documents\My Games” as noted above. I’ve tried to figure a way to get this changed to “F:\Users\Roger\Saved Games” which included moving the DCS folder and putting in a shortcut, but it hasn’t worked. If fact, when I reran DCS, it re-created the DCS folders again in “…\Documents\My Games” again. I do have a “C:\Users\Roger\Saved Games, and an F:\User\Roger\Saved Games\DCS” folders. How can I get this resolved? Please help.
  3. I'm planning on making good use of CA when DCS:WWII, Normandy Map, is released. IX AF used AGCP-COC-TAC-FDP-ACFT model to coordinate fighter-bomber support on D-day and after to a very large extent using SCR-584 and SCR-522. I don't know what Heer used but I'm researching.... Will there be an AGCP (JTAC) capability? I would hope there is, but it's pure speculation at this point. Will it be specific to certain vehicles? Soft-skinned or Hardened vehicles? What would be your choices?
  4. As crazyeddie stated, if you're going to do this, you need to test and make sure each mod works in 1.5.5. Before including it.
  5. Thanks EvilBivol-1. There are soooo many questions about the ME. I'd venture to say that its going to need its own forum room at some point.
  6. I don't remember this being brought up for discussion, but, as a mission builder, this area need some drastic help - especially in light of helo operations. As it stands right now, there are just a few types of waypoints: - Takeoff - From Runway - Takeoff - From Parking Area - Landing - Turning point etc. These waypoint types need some expansion. Some ideas I had were: - Hover - High (250' AGL) - Hover - Low (50' AGL) - Orbit Waypoint - [Range] - Defend Waypoint - [Range] I'm sure there are other ideas as well. What do we need and what is ED planning to help with this area? With the trigger concept previously introduced it would seem to me that the waypoint types need serious updating. Your thoughts?
  7. Time to pick up a history book........ More appropriate... "The most recent military activity has been there."
  8. Excellent work Triggerhappy. I don't suppose you'd share the dimensional information for the center, left and right consoles? I'd like to copy those parts.
  9. Ahh - Touchbuddy. Don't leave home field without it!!
  10. How about because aerial refueling in MP is just plain broke - so we build missions around the problem.
  11. I believe these falls into the same category: NATO M163 VADS - Vulcan Autocannon Defense System ZU-23 AAA mounted on Ural-375 Truck Also, check out video on External Ballistics Modelling for demonstration.
  12. What about unimproved forward or FEBA landing/refueling positions (open ground).
  13. This probably should have been here SAR Mission Trigger
  14. I was thinking along the lines of trigger events such that if a pilot (any) is downed, a SAR is automatically generated and dispatched. This would have to be AI mission of course as the BS can't do this type of work - but - the BS could provide support for this mission type. The same could be said for the A-10 and AH-64 addon's at later dates. The SAR team (object(s)) would have to be placed in the mission editor by the mission builder at various bases; the nearest SAR team to the downed pilot would be dispatched. If no SAR team is included - no SAR mission - pilot is lost or 50/50 chance pilot is recovered by other means.
  15. Thanks Teka. That helps a lot. It "will" be interesting to explore the contents of this .zip archive.
  16. Two more: Q3: Will the mission briefings and debriefings be importable/exportable the mission builder or printable from within the mission/campaign areas? Q4: Will video captures (tracks, movies, etc) be in industry standard formats - *.wmv and/or mp*? (Thanks for the rep!)
  17. Suppose its much to ask, but if you get back over to DCS - could you maybe capture a screenshot of the theater map in the Mission Editor for BS? Curious as to the extent of terrain additions and scope.
  18. Q1:One of 'the' biggest problems with LOFC was/is the "intergration" of various community mods into the game - specifically when certain xml files in the Config and ME areas required updating to support the mods - which lead to compatibility issues. Especially in the use of CLSID keys. I know Skypat has had to deal with this with Modman. Is this being addressed in DCS:Black Shark? Q2: Another issue for mission builders is the mission file format. As they are now, they appear to be XML output with "encryted" traces at the begining of the files. They are very had to read, interpret, etc., and make campaign building using carry-over missions a real problem - especially if external mission building tools are anticipated. Will the mission files be the same format as they are in LOFC or will they be pure ASCII format and/or will options be provided to accomplish the translations?
  19. True Life is more exciting than fiction. Just take a look at the International Newspapers from the Caucaus Regional Area over the last 5 years and you'll find tons of stuff for building campaigns. Start << HERE >> and let your imagination wander................
