  1. Thank you Wags and ED for sharing this document. Not only is the info provided great, but transparency like this helps me understand the value I purchase when buying an ED product. Documents like this are great for reference by users and maybe help clean up some of the bickering that goes on about what is/isn't modeled.
  2. Update I did a complete uninstall/reinstall and that seems to have corrected the problem. Also several of the people on the 104th spent a lot of time troubleshooting with me. If any of them see this BIG THANK YOU for your time guys!:thumbup:
  3. Hello Begging approx 18hrs prior this post I have been unable to connect to any MP server regardless of number of players or how long server has been running mission. DCS hangs on "loading" screen for server. My last MP session was 24hrs ago and I experienced not problems. The only change I had made was to pre-purchase the new Super Carrier module but I doubt that is related. If I leave out any info needed in this post to troubleshoot please let me know. Basic specs: i5-6600k OC'd to 4.10, 32GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7800 series (all system patches up-to-date) -Currently running Open Beta -Installed patch 2.5.5.41962 on 1/15/2020 -SP loads and runs fine with very heavy/complex missions -20+ hrs in MP after patch with no issues (been in MP almost every day for several months, no issues) -Most common MP servers used are 104th and Growling Sidewinder -Ping on both are 60-110 -Tacview and SRS installed -(edit) I do have the English cockpit mod for Russian aircraft by Devrim. These have been present for several months. -no other mods used I've attempted DCS repair ("successfully completed"), preloading the map that the server is running before attempting to connect to MP, backing up DCS open beta in saved games then deleting and restarting DCS. I'm not getting a "dcs crash" window When I review the log there is an error as last entry that says "2020-01-18 15:00:59.797 ERROR Lua::Config: Call error occupy_player_slot:?:0: attempt to index global 'db' (a nil value)." While typing this post I have been trying to log in again to the 104th. I've also attached that log as "x2". I'm unfamiliar with this error but it seems like DCS thinks the server is full. This error log was created when server was about 50% full. I've attached the full log to this post. I see this error whenever I attempt to connect to MP now. I was trouble shooting this with one of the guys already logged into the 104th via teamspeak morning. He said that I appeared in the lobby of the server while my screen was still stuck on "loading" This problem started with no changes on my end that I can think of. I flew for a few hours yesterday morning (my time), when session was done I powered my pc down like normal. Went to have a late afternoon session and ran into this. Please let me know if any other info would be helpful Thank you (Hannibal) dcs MP log errors.txt dcs MP log errors x2.txt
  4. Yes sir, sounds good. I just got the Hornet to play around with as well. All repairs and file cleaning done. I probably should have started learning on a more mature module anyway. :D
  5. @BIGNEWY No mods, clean up and repair was done via your signature guide and what Deano87 recommended. I do have Tacview, HeadtrackIR and SRS (not sure if those count as mods). Freeze would still occur. I agree with you about the loadout I created in the ME. It was a new (not an edit of existing loadout) CAP loadout, Wingtip hard points AIM9x each, x4 AIM120c, 2 wing fuel tanks, 1 centerline fuel tank, %100 internal fuel, %100 cannon w/ HE+tracer ammo, no other ordinance or pods. Interestingly, in mission via ground crew when I selected this loadout or just selected each individual hardpoint to load with same ordinance no bug or freeze occurred. I wasn't able to reproduce the problem with other aircraft in the ME either. I never tried this loadout in MP since I'm still learning the F-16. Just wanted to say that my first "bug" report has been a very positive experience. Was a little nervous about posting it on the forum. Big thanks again for the help!
  6. Hi Dean I attached them to my second post, thanks for your help! - Not sure why, but when I only use the standard loadouts available or use the Rearm/refuel in mission I don't get any issues. Tried it several time and the loadout I created in the ME seems to be the consistent factor during a game crash. - Not sure if this is a F-16 bug or something I somehow did. I've created several loadouts in the ME before for other A/C and never ran into this...….
  7. I did the repair step as recommended. I was able to open the mission and start the aircraft...but.. I realized the loadout I selected was "empty" in the ME. The loadout I had been using was one I created for "CAP". x2 AIM9x on wingtips, x4 120C's, and 3 fuel tanks. When I reloaded the mission with this loadout I had the exact same freeze condition as before. Not sure if the loadout I created is related. @BIGNEWY I'm newish to DCS world (on and off for several years, f16 is first non FC3 module). All relevant drivers and Win10 are up-to-date. I've rechecked my security settings in Win10 and Norton to see if they were causing any problems, didn't find any issues there. I think I can set DCS to record every SP mission instead of just MP missions. I'm going to try that and upload if possible. I can't get out of the mission after it freezes to "click" save track. Also going to review your advice in signature. I tried to upload my TacView file of the freeze (ive got several now) but the forum didn't seem to allow it. Not sure if it would help anyway. Thanks again both for your help. I report back after the above steps *Update* I wasn't able to figure out how to force a track recording of my freeze. I did make a track of the mission start. The only action I take is to move the power switch to "batt" to hopefully record the ghost engine noise in the background. The freeze would ocure when I move power to "main", click start #2, then at %20 rpm Rshift+home for throttle idle = freeze. Still not sure if this is something I'm causing. Also tried auto start Rwin+Home and the freeze still happens. Thanks again. F16 Radar Training Beta.miz Hannibal F16 Eng Srt Freeze12.26.19.trk
  8. Hello This is my first time posting a bug report, my apologies if I don't post/upload something correctly. DCS Open Beta 2.5.5.41371, Win10 64, Radeon HD7800, 36GB RAM 1TB HDD. *Aircraft is in cold start condition* - Game will freeze when I move throttle to idle (Rshift+Home) at %20rpms. No CTD or "ED" home screen appears. - This freeze takes place in simple training missions I've created for myself. - Freeze happens on all three maps with same mission parameters. - Before starting engine or touching any controls in aircraft I hear a "ghost engine" in background. This mission has no other aircraft or assets added, not sure what I'm hearing. - This "ghost engine" sound begins to wind down when I move power switch to batt from off position. - I have been unable to get a track file. I am attaching a copy of the last log. Please let me know how to get other info that might be needed. Thanks everyone F16 ENG SRT Freeze 12.26.19.txt
  9. I've been spending an unhealthy amount of time on dcs world over the last few weeks driving f15c's. Standing on my back deck a few minutes ago in the central U.S. I looked up and saw several contrails overhead. I live close to a major airport. Normally I would think to myself how pretty that is and wish i was in the cockpit of one of those airliners. But today the first thought that came to me was "look at all those targets". Is that a bad sign?
