  1. You don't need the Logitech software to map the pinkie switch of the X52 as a modifier, it's very easy and works perfectly doing it in the DCS control set up.
  2. Where do I find the new training missions please? All I have are the MO1 then it goes to the MO4 section etc. I have the latest version of the Open Beta running. edit, Just seen elsewhere that I have to download them myself. I'll wait until they are released in an update, sorry to bother you all.
  3. Another vote for the Ka-50 here. I've just started to learn this and the tutorials out there are very dated and haphazard, which is not surprising as this module is very old in the DCS stable. There are lots of tutorials for the more recently released modules so maybe going back in time would fill some holes out there for those of us trying out the older versions. Whatever, will look forward to seeing your next videos, thanks.
  4. This won't answer or help with your question but I gave up years ago with the Saitek software, it just drove me crazy. I just set it direct with the ED controls in the game and generally I have little problems including modifiers. Not perfect but light years better than the in built rubbish in my opinion.
  5. In the home screen select Instant Action and in the next box in the top right is an option to choose a map. If you choose Create Fast Mission there is an option in the next box to choose Theatre. In Mission Editor there is an option to choose Normandy on the first screen when you open a new one. Training won't have these as none are available as far as I remember.
  6. Every pilot should have net curtains as standard in his cockpit to prevent the enemy seeing him as a last ditch counter measures option, plus he can look through the gap to keep an eye on his wingman without him noticing.
  7. All improvements and fixes are always nice to read about but when these updates are released they are always described in one small sentence. Half the time I have little idea what they mean or they are quite ambiguous. A link to somewhere with a more detailed description would be appreciated now and again.
  8. After several days trying to get up to speed in the MiG to brave this server I took the plunge last night. "Learn the radios and read the Brief" I was told, so I did and still I couldn't talk to anyone except my ground crew. Taxiing like a tourist and eventually remembering to close my canopy I crawled to the runway. 2 strafes by the enemy and with a plane full of holes and my canopy cracked I was in position. Should I quit or continue? The thought of explaining to a ground crew how I had filled their plane full of holes without even getting off the ground pushed me on. To cut a long story short I made it up but got swooped on by my nemesis again. After 10 minutes of showing him all my evading moves he eventually got fed up or probably just ran out of fuel or ammo. I decided after all that I would land and book some leave as soon as I got out. I avoided eye contact with my ground crew as I climbed out and found a dark room to lie down in. I'll be back :)
  9. I've just started to learn the MiG-15bis and The F-86 Sabre. I would love to get involved with this, so is this a server you would recommend for people who are just starting out as well or will I embarrass myself?
  10. Please explain where the .reg file is provided, I can't find it either in this thread or in the pdf document.
  11. Is that "Flakturm" still in Hamburg today? I was there a few years ago and remembered seeing such a building where the fairground is in summer.
  12. Hope you don't mind me asking this question here. After several months away from the SU-25T I thought I'd give it a run out. I was mucking about with the auto pilot and I found that whenever I pressed LALT 3 to go into level flight I immediately descended a few thousand feet then eventually levelled off. Several times I had to intervene to stop myself flying into the ground. No idea why this should occur, any ideas would be welcome please.
  13. If you press New Posts after making a post, it won't show up because you already read it? I am a silly old fool btw so if I got the wrong end of the stick to your question then ignore me :)
  14. With my skills I normally fly around in my Huey as if the wind is 40 knots everyday. Actually I think the winds helped me keep a straight course lol.
  15. With an avatar like that? Who you trying to fool?
