  1. I amhaving same problems, watched from outside view and noticed as soon as my heli went out of control the other ai apaches did as well, whats going on ed, thought all the delays were to get this one perfect before release.
  2. Had similar problem, upgraded graphics driver cured problem.
  3. Thanks for showing Nirvi this is what I and others would like to see in all the aircraft in DCS. As I have said before if people do not want to use it and want to continue with there physical hotas then they do not have to use it but at least everyone has a choice as to what is best for them.
  4. I understand perfectly how much work it takes. Your comment (Really, sit down and ask yourself could you effectively combat the aircraft without them? Factor in, flaps, landing gear, trim, comms, slewing, armament controls, weapon employment, lights... The whole point of the introduction of HOTAS in real aircraft was to limit the amount of time a pilot had his/her hands of the controls. Just a thought) makes me wonder if you know what you are talking about as all these controls are available in the cockpit already and duplicated on our Hotas,s at the request of persons who want to gain advantage / gain bragging rights over others by the fact they have the budgets to play with.
  5. hear, hear and that is one reason for starting this thread, I have not really flown in DCS for ages as cannot get the buzz from my monitor anymore that I get in vr but the stick / throttle let vr down by not being implemented - breaking the immersion with having to remove the mask to see the keyboard etc.
  6. It,s for anyone who wants to use it , for your info I own a Hotas Warthog + others, and enjoy using it when playing using the monitor screen but with vr it is not possible to see the keyboard or the hotas, link to that the amount of commands there are in DCS that you have to remember and you have problems. link to that if your memory is not so good then having all controls within the vr environment is a good way to give visual clues which you would have if you were in the real aircraft. The other things that people are using are things like voice attack so you do not need to see the keyboard or indeed use it, unfortunately this does not understand my accent very well so not practical for me coupled to the fact that I consider it a cheat device to give some people a speed advantage over others but hey do you hear me complaining. Lets have some fairness here if you want to use your hotas use it but also let others who would like to use vr controls use them also or is it some fear losing there advantages and risk their standings tumbling.
  7. I am not just talking about a Cessna it also works on the big jets and anyway what works on a Cessna works on a fighter.
  8. Not a self indulgent request you moron, there are lots of others after the same thing and not getting it.
  9. Both actually as they will do the same job.
  10. on what do you base your assumption that its 5% of 5% and that its low priority, what is your priority because if controls don't work then nothing does or is DCS only there to supply your requirements.
  11. Just because it don't work for you does not mean it wont work for others, no one is forcing you to have it, it is another means of immersion to some and there are a lot of people out there do want it.
  12. When are DCS going to listen to us the customers, I am becoming increasingly frustrated with being told something is w.i.p. and it takes time but will happen sometime. Not good enough DCS. Other flight sims etc. have the ability to take hold of throttle and stick for a couple of years now and you seem no nearer implementing it, why not, you do not even give a straight answer when asked, just w.i.p. . I have requested along with others to have this implementation for a couple of years now and its still nowhere to be seen and DCS do not keep us up to date on progress, do they not want to give it to us. Maybe they need to fix some of the things they have taken our money for before bringing out new planes etc to take even more of our cash. What do you think ? I appreciate it is difficult to implement but if other programers can do it I am sure the team at DCS with all their expertise can do it as well. Look forward to hearing comments

    VR HOTAS

Hi! All, can anyone please tell me which aircrafts already have the Oculus Touch controllers working the on screen hotas and when this is going to fixed in the A10 and Black Shark. Why does it seem to take years to implement on the older planes but can be functional on a newer plane in weeks ?.
  14. Captoglove fault Unfortunately I will not be reporting on CaptoGlove test as previously posted. I do apologise to those looking forward to the report but the fault I was experiencing required them to be sent back to CaptoGlove. I have been issued a full refund but am still out of pocket due to import duty and currency exchange rates. I think as I have explained to CaptoGlove to make these gloves more appealing that perhaps a re-write of their instruction manual and a redesign of the actual sensor would be desirable as the instructions req. a degree in rocket science to understand and the battery which can fail is not changeable unless you destroy the casing. Basically I think as CaptoGlove have said the product is not fully ready for DCSworld at this time.
  15. Sounds good - is Flying Circus as good as R.O.F.
  16. Slight hitch with the testing - one of the gloves has developed a fault - not charging properly or holding charge for more than a few minutes. they are under warranty still but cannot get hold of CaptoGlove - probably due to Black Friday and Thanksgiving in USA. Soon as possible I will report as I have had my gloves since the beginning of the year and although I know they work to control the pc on something like a windows screen I did buy them specifically for DCS and been waiting all this time for the software integration. Now I face another fly in the ointment. Other than DCS I do not know if CaptoGlove has been integrated in other programs as yet - Iwould like them to work in Rise of Flight however I do not think this will happen as R.O.F. seem to have no ambition to even enter VR.
  17. I am at the moment trying to get it to work but having to get further info to help me. It has been a long wait to get here and hopefully in the next few days I should be able to let you know. Knowing the skill levels of Both CaptoGlove and Eagle dynamics engineers I have every confidence it will work but not sure to which level. Have faith.
  18. Captoglove profile released Just to inform those not yet aware CaptoGlove have released a DCSworld profile on their website, not had time to try yet but looking forward to seeing what it's like.
  19. Unfair (review) This may be your personnel verdict of CaptoGlove but Not everyones to even call it a review thorough or otherwise beggars belief. Instructions for CaptoGlove clearly state the install procedures and to download the latest software etc. Setting up the finger controls is a bit fiddly and long winded but there are instructions and videos available to show you how to do it. I cannot comment on the use within DCSWorld as yet as I have not tried due to lack of info from both DCSWorld and CaptoGlove to say that the integration has been done. Just because you may want to use your REAL joystick when you fly not everyone else may want to, I would be quite happy flying using a virtual joystick (it would do the same job as the physical one) and would save some people the expense of a physical HOTAS which does not come cheap. I think both CaptoGlove and Eagle Dynamics are right to give people the choice of both. Just because you are unhappy that the product does not meet your expectations because you did not research the product or product did not work as expected straight out of the box does not give you the right to basically destroy it in such a public fashion especially when you seem incapable of writing a fair and full review.
  20. Thrustmaster warthog but really waiting to use my Captogloves when they are integrated .
  21. With plenty patience, you have to wait for CaptoGlove/DCS to finish the integration process, CaptoGlove told me about three months ago that they were testing but that it was along process because the technology was so new. They really should not have led us to believe you could use it to control the switches and Hotas 18months ago when they showed their videos on youtube of someone flying a DCSWorld Helicopter when it could not be done then, if it could what has happened in the meantime.
  22. Like the rest of us you have to wait until CaptoGlove & DCS have time to integrate programming and testing which seems to be taking forever. Cant see how they can keep developing other stuff meantime when they cant seem to figure out how to control the plane/heli using the gloves.
  23. Hi! Mule, I bought a pair back in Jan/Feb believing I could use them in DCSWorld straight off after seeing the videos and taking to CaptoGlove guys also after DCS seemed to favour them. At the moment they sit on my computer desk as ornaments. I believe that a profile for integration is currently being tested by DCS and CaptoGlove but very little feedback from either party (probably due to commercial secrecy). You can use them in some other programs & windows. I just wish they would get on with it as they seem to start something then move onto something else before finishing what they started and more info/feedback would be nice.
  24. Each to there own its your choice its your money, I have found flight simming an expensive hobby over the years and have had to make compromises. I trust that the developers are trying to give us the best experience they can with the available technology but also appreciate that they cannot do everything otherwise they would be forever writing more and more code and then your rig would probably not be able to store or execute the program because it would be too big. I think you seem to perpetually complain because YOU want Leap Motion because you already have it or its what YOU can afford. Stop moaning and enjoy the sim as it is at the moment and give the developers a chance they obviously think this is the best option to fit in with their programming at the moment and I believe they would have done a lot of research on this new technology before committing to it. You never know once they have got this up and running maybe they will have learned enough to get Leap motion working as well.
  25. You have to press and hold the on/off button for 6 seconds if I remember correctly to make it visible to Bluetooth. The button can be a little frustrating to work.
