  1. Doh! Good question, Lange F-16C. I just edited the first post.
  2. Hi, I just installed the lastest update, and went for a quick mission *EDIT* in the Viper *EDIT* and found I can't slew the radar cursor. I also can't click switches in the cockpit. I am sorry if this is not the proper way to report a bug, but I haven't frequented these forums in a while.
  3. Looks to me like that could be fixed with the drift C/O switch. *EDIT* Damn.... I just noticed that Harker wrote that too *EDIT*
  4. ... on a torrent program, because no matter how many security programs/firewalls/etc. I shut down, the download will NOT finish. EVERY time it gets well on its way, but suddenly "oh....Oops, there are too many people downloading, so your download has been stopped" (paraphrasing). Which is a REALLY dumb reason for shutting MY download down. Let the others wait their turn! This isn't the first time this is happening though. The same happened when the Hornet was released. I'd like to think that ED would have an interest in having as many betas out there being tried, which can send back reports when/if something goes wrong. And PLEASE give ME a useful answer instead of just deleting the thread, Matt (if that's what you're going to do (again)).
  5. The music, up to around 1 minute 50 seconds, reminded me of Blade Runner (the original one)... Which isn't a decidedly bad thing.
  6. THANK you cOff :) That's useful information :) Perhaps the installer should notify the user of that, so he doesn't get frustrated with it day after day after day.... ? :)
  7. Rich8: I get the exact same error, and have been getting it multiple times since yesterday. I tried waiting a while because I figured it was server overload, but that makes no damned sense, when I am able to download 6000+MB of the file (with 18000MB DL size shown in the top of the window, but significantly less below the progress bar). I don't know what's going on with their server(s), but it's the same every time a long expected product is released. Maybe in a month's time, I'll try again... Maybe.
  8. Damn I wanna fly that! :) Too bad my X-65F stopped working and the company that took over services for Saitek, is useless. The drivers on their website do nothing :(
  9. Thanks for that, Grundar :) I enjoyed hearing him talk about the things he's done in his career as a RIO and instructor.

  11. It was an interesting video Kilrah. I understood quite a bit of it, though there were some of the words I weren't familiar with, but that doesn't matter. It brought me back to the times when we used Draken in Denmark, and they would overfly my parents house at least a couple of times a week. I could hear them from a long ways off, so I would rush out and climb on the roof of our house to see them better. Many years later, I met my, now, fiancé, whose father was an electronics mechanic on Draken until the mid-80's. He still has contacts on the base in Karup, and I was once invited over to view the Draken they have sitting in the museum, in airworthy state, called "The Queen".... and I tried the pit on for size. No wonder their max pilot height requirements were so low, when it was designed for midgets :D (I'm 1,89m). I could get in there alright, but it was nowhere near comfortable, and I don't think I could close the canopy without laying my head "on my shoulders" :)
  12. Hm. Now it's unpacking at the incredible speed of 71.4KB/s...damnit. One good thing is..... it's 15 past 11pm, so I will leave it be for the night, and see what's up in the morning.
  13. Well, I was racing through the download @ between 4-8MB/s until it got to 1124.0 of 1124.6MBytes, then, apparently, my download was deemed finished, because the down-rate went to 0.0KB/s and has stayed there the last half hour. Well, as soon as I had written this paragraph, it's now up to 5.0KB/s (Whooooooooooooohoo, I'm THERE! .... erhm. Not). What's up with that?
  14. I presume, he means the sites that the links lead to are in german :)
  15. Double the temparture, half the density. That is just not logical at all. Maybe on the southern hemisphere, that is correct? A high pressure area on the southern hemisphere equals a low pressure on the northern. (And no, I never completed my training because I was nearly killed in a car-accident before I could finish and get some real flying experience), it did leave me unable to fly for the past 9 years, so.... And, yes, I should've read the whole thread before writing anything, but I didn't this time.
  16. *Disclaimer* I've only just started reading this thread, so this will most likely already have been written. *Disclaimer* Which is wrong. It gets colder the further apart the air molecules are (the higher you get). Think of it this way: The closer the molecules (higher air density), the more friction is needed, thus you need more engine power to sustain a given airspeed. Which is why airliners travel at high altitudes. To save fuel, and the passangers' money, and to maximize distance travelled. This was in the first couple of days of commercial flight school.
  17. I think it was a good video, and if you are looking for suggestions on what to film next, I want to put a vote on how to decrease the tension on the throttles. I've loosened them as much as I can using the screw on the bottom, but I still have to use a clamp to hold it in place on my desk.
  18. These tutorials you make are just what I need, so thank you Fish :)
  19. Good choice :) I have a Gainward GTX 460 1GB and also went back to Nvidia after having used ATI's for a long time.
  20. That would be the bullets flying past the cameraman and then you hear the buzz of the gun.
  21. Did the un- and reinstall and set the sim up with everything set to max and it is smooth as! Well done! :D
