  1. I have been part of DCAFs 20 Squadron for many years now. We try to be the best we can be in our airframe, from FARP operations behind enemy lines to naval ops. I think we offer a very diverse experience and have fun in the process. We have many dedicated members that push our knowledge all the time, and we would love for you to join us!
  2. I found the source of the issue for me: It was Taz1004 UI TextSize Mod. Without it, it works!
  3. Same issue here, the using the comms menu via hotas binds only worked on the first day of setting it up, afterwards not anymore. Tried different aircraft.
  4. Did you ever dream of using the harrier in its intended role? From short field ops to flying 10ft off the deck at 400 knots, from carrier ops to close air support. With us you can experience all that in a realistic and immersive environment. TLDR: Who are we? DCAFs 20 Squadron, flying the AV-8B Who are you? A Harrier pilot of any skill level eager to deepen your understanding of the aircraft. Time? Main ops on Thursdays 1830GMT Why us? We provide a comprehensive training system, large-scale operations, and collaboration opportunities with other communities. Size? What is DCAF? DCAF - Digital Coalition Air Force is a virtual Air Force established in 2017. Our focus is on community, enjoyment, and immersion. Combined under the DCAF umbrella are multiple squadrons for the harrier, hornet, viper and tomcat. We are primarily in the European timezone and hold our operations on Thursday evenings at 1830GMT/BST. With an expansive and powerful training platform BATS, we ensure that all our members, irrespective of their skill levels, receive proper guidance and challenges. Every pilot undergoes our V1 course to prepare for operations, with the opportunity for aircraft-specific additional training. At the end of our V1 training, student pilots become line pilots and will receive a callsign and custom livery. Thanks to our skilled controllers, who receive their own specialized training, we can immerse ourselves in large operations with many moving parts. What is 20sqn? 20 Squadron has been an integral part of DCAF since its inception. Our pilots, many of whom have been flying the Harrier since its release, can offer you a wealth of experience and knowledge. Within DCAF we have multiple unique capabilities that the mission commander can make use of. The harrier enables us to perform farp ops and carrier ops making us very versatile. We also train at night, using the harriers excellent night vision capabilities. With a large payload for an aircraft its size, the harrier allows us to perform a wide range of missions. For example, we train for deep strikes, runway denial and importantly CAS with a human JTAC. Additionally, many of us have a keen interest in helicopters and ground pounding in general. If you thrive on the excitement of low-altitude operations, you'll fit right in! Here is a snippet of our basic air to surface course: We believe that we can offer a unique experience that you will not get flying anywhere else. Nothing compares to all our squadrons coming together in a well planned operation. If we have caught your interest here is our Application form: https://forms.gle/fhxwzxAJVBjYfU779. 5. Thank you, this helps! Still want a slider do adjust HMD position though tbh
  6. @BIGNEWY Hey, sorry for the tag but I did some testing on this issue so maybe it’s useful. What I see: IHADSS is too high in my view, looking straight ahead in VR makes me look through the line of sight box in the bottom of the display instead of the center cross. Problem: The heading tape is very hard to read and require me to look up with my eyes, causing eyestrain. If I had to guess it’s about 20 degrees too far up. It is outside the „sweet spot“ of the headset so also blurry. What I’m using: Windows 11, ryzen 5600x, 3080ti, reverb g2 What I tried: DCS repair & additional files Disable Mods SteamVR or OpenXR looks the same Cross eye recovery tool disabled, headset.lua in saved games deleted I hope somebody can help, I really l love the apache!
  7. Still having this issue. Very annoying and makes my eyes hurt. Why can't this be adressed?
  8. I have been a part of DCAF's 20sqdn for a couple of years now and could not be happier with it. I used to fly the harrier mostly on public multiplayer servers like georgia at war or blueflag, but I was getting fed up with the lack of communication and coordination. When I joined DCAF I was impressed with the level of training and resources available. Also the care and planning that go into thursday ops is remarkable, from mission builder to squadron COs to controllers and pilots. I feel that DCAF is great for me because the squadron manages to straddle the line between serious milsim and fun flying. We try to be professional during a mission and do our best with communication and executing the plan, but we also have a relaxed atmosphere otherwise. There are great resources available, but you can take it at your own pace, and you don't have to call anyone Sir
  9. I am having the same problem still, the heading tape is very hard to read on my G2. I would love a vertical adjustment.
  10. I love this app so much that I bought a tablet for it, but sadly as others have been saying I run into bad performance since 2 months or so. Disabling the app really helps.
  11. Alright good to know. About the priority, I don't know, it looks bad everytime you see engine blades which is a lot in the harrier
  12. @Hornet81Hello, will this be looked at? Still an issue.
  13. I am having the same issues with a quest 2 and 3070. This is honestly ruining my enjoyment of dcs in the last weeks. I am already on low settings, this is very frustrating.
  14. Hi, I reported this a while ago. It is not fixed in 2.7. Will something happen about this? @RAZBAM_ELMO
  15. Soo... What does it take for this to be acknowledged?
  16. Looking at other harriers in multiplayer you can see that the engine blades "stutter" or "lag". Every two seconds they stop for half a second. This bug can be replicated easily, my whole squadron has it and other people on hoggit have confirmed they see it as well. I am on latest openbeta. Mods do not affect this. .trk file not needed I think, easy to reproduce If you need a video, let me know.
  17. Thank you Bbow for the testing. The harrier indeed feels overpowered, I was able to perform a vertical takeoff while being massively over the weight limit: Fuel set to F+W (from VREST page) and adding 4 GBU-38+litening+gun after calculation. This might tie in with the problems we found regarding the VREST page as outlined in this bug report explaining the higher performance.
  18. Thanks for the answer. Yes I use that mod, but a friend of mine who was flying as well without the mod also reported the issue. In that particular flight we had strong white flashes covering the whole screen.
  19. Just had this bug today flying in multiplayer and VR. I noticed a huge white square in my NVG's in VR when looking at a predators laser marker (white beam). It resolved itself for a second but kept on coming back. These are some screenshots. Moving my head changed the size of the "sprite" (?). Up -> smaller; down -> bigger. I am running latest openbeta. I can attach the track file if needed, It is much bigger than 5MB though so it won't be through the forums.
  20. @RAZBAM_ELMOI checked the forum, could you link me the duplicate? I did not find it. Thanks!
  21. The BNGO page barely calculates anything. As far as I understand it should follow the Bingo charts from A1-AV8BB-NFM-400. It does not, for example the ABGN (Max bingo fuel performance at existing altitude) does not actually calculate for my existing altitude as far as I can see. The BNGO page is completely stuck, nothing calculates. The bingo ABGN column should be calculated following Figure 5-11 from the A1-AV8BB-NFM-400. Also, the function is described in the A1-AV8BB-NFM-000 section 2.20.1.4 "Bingo Display". Attached is a track showing the page not doing anything. BNGO page stuck.trk
  22. This is not really acceptable to me, especially since the Viper and Hornet are perfectly readable in VR and flat screen. ED uses .svg so it can't really be a "case by case basis". Maybe ask ED how they did it and try to replicate that? I love the work that is done on the mfds tho, I think .svg system has a lot more future potential, and I appreciate bringing the harrier up to date in that manner.
