If you use official TrackIR software with the official camera there seems to be some communication between the TrackIR client when you pause TrackIR that tell DCS that TrackIR is paused so DCS re-enables mouse/keyboard look until TrackIR is unpaused.
But I don't know what this communication is and no other tracking clients I've tried (Opentrack, FaceTraickNOIR and Tobii Gamehub) does it so with these there's no way to temporarily enable mouse/keyboard look without going into controls and disabling the headtracker.

Are Aerges able to share any information yet on which versions of the Starfighter they plan to model ?
(My guess is Spanish F-104G and maybe TF-104G ?)-

So the alignment starts when you press the asterisc button and takes the coordinates that are being shown in the screen of the INS as initial coordinates. So if your starting coordinates are correct, just press asterisc while in PP display mode.
If they are not, you will have to introduce them into a waypoint in the list, have the display option POS selected and the waypoint with the correct starting position being displayed when pressing the asterisc to start the alignment.
Right so a custom start position has to come from a waypoint !

Has anyone worked out how to enter the planes initial position into the INS ?
While the manual covers creating a waypoint it seems to skip over how to enter the starting position and I'm afraid I haven't been able to work it out yet.

It get's even more complicated to define when you overhaul the aircraft and add in 4th Gen(ish - doesn't sound like the Cyrano IMV radar was that great by late 90s early 00s standard ?) avionics and create the F1M.

Nice looking kit- though I cannot think of a possible reason why you might have wanted to lead with a number of GA orientated modules ;)
Are you able to see if the upcomming TEC throttle will be using the same modular tech ?
And also is the new grip connector and extension that fits onto the current Rev B Grip connector and if so will we be able to buy extras to mount onto existing grips ?

I'll be happy just to have a well modelled AA focused Tyhoon.
Anything beyond that is a bonus - though if you can manage to add Brimstone somwhere down the line.... :)

We've been told that work on the Viper will be being suspended to to allow the team to concentrate on completing the Hornet.
Has that suspension already happened ?

Probably a reseller that claims to get products at wholesale price, and sells it at huge discounted price. From the looks of it, there many online stores that are similar to it.
If you do a whois search on the domain name, you will find the provided registrar's information, and can do some research on it. You will eventually find out if the company is phony or not. :detective:
Sadly as is normal in cases like this the DNS details are cloaked by Domains By Proxy and the IP details are the generic Cloundfare ones.

I have to join the praise for the most recent mission - fantastic mission with added fun of Anapa being so busy I got to practice a go around on late finals when there were 4 UH60s stacked up on the runway waiting to get onto the taxiway :)

I hate these game "balancing" arguments.
War is not a fair fight.
True but at the same time the limitations of DCS do not reflect the real world so the effectiveness of a weapon like this in the sim is very different to the actual effectiveness.

a10 can do this and is kinda old, i would expect a recent aircraft like jeff could also do it.
The Jeff may be newer but it's was also created to a really tight budget - it's why it only has FBW in the pitch axis and you have to choose between DL and the second radio channel.
If the PAF didn't decided it was a feature they wanted to pay for then the chances are it won't be there.

Hi,
I have a Gladiator Mk 2 Pro that's developed a stuck pogo pin in the grip connector.
VKB have very generously sent me two replacement parts but while I've managed to remove the gimbal unit from the base and identified where the connector plus into teh board for the I can't see how to remove the actual connector at the top of the metal housing.
Has anyone managed to do this before and able to offer any guidance ?

AIUI there are no JF-17s in service with an HMD - until that changes it seems a tad ridiculous to expect the DCS one to have one.
At least with the Hornet there are actually been aircraft in service with that cheek mounted TGP.

AG notch filter problem has been confirmed and fixed internally.
Did the notch filter fix go into today's patch release as I'm still seeing AG SEA 1 & 2 mode designations being dropped immediately (and the radar basically seizing up once they are dropped - this may be because the radar is remaining in SMTT despite the fact that target lock has been dropped and you need to use undesignate to get it working again)

The capabilities also vary substantially depending on the age and nationality of the particular aircraft being modelled.

I'm guessing those might come later in the development process - at the moment we only have 2 training missions and 8 instant action missions in the Caucasus so there's a lot more missions likely to be delivered.
