  1. I already did, but under "Mods/aircraft/Mi-24P" I could not seem to find the specific entries for petrovich's voice lines. Searching for "petrovich" only returns the petrovich_on and petrovich_off around line 12299. RI-65 is there, but that's not petrovich
  2. Thanks, as it turns out there's 2 entries in the sdef_and_wave_list.txt, one is CoreMods/aircraft/<aircraftname>, the other is Mods/aircraft/<aircraftname> I can find the file names for F-15E and AH-64D in "Mods/aircraft/F-15E" and "Mods/aircraft/AH-64D" entries, but I cant find the annunciator sound names for Ka-50_3 Additionally, I also wanted to mod Mi-24P's Petrovich sounds, and I cant seem to find in in sdef_and_wave_list.txt. Where can I find Petrovich sound names?
  3. Hi everyone, So I've been trying to mod the annunciator sounds for the Apache, Strike Eagle, and KA-50 3, but I can't find where the sounds paths are. It is not listed in the "%dcsroot%/Doc/Sounds/sdef_and_wave_list.txt". I can confirm that in my previous mods for F-16, F-18 and Mi-24, by simply providing the sound files in the correct path from "user folder/mods" it works fine to replace the default sounds. Anyone have any idea what the path and filenames are for Apache, SE, and Ka-50 3? Thanks.
  4. Hi everyone! So I'm making this tread for me to post and discuss my cockpit annunciator voice mods. I know not everyone's into this thing so if it's not to your liking please dont shoot me My Japanese is terrible, but I do crosscheck the translations using jisho.org so it should be passable. If you're a native Japanese speaker I could certainly use some inputs as whether or not the translations are actually contextually correct. English versions are also available, but since the TTS is Japanese-native it might sound funny. Released: Youtube Preview: F-16C Mi-24P Planning: Ka-50 by December AH-64D next year
  5. Ah I see, I think this is the first time I heard of this feature, nice. So basically if for example I'm flying in, say Bort 02, with a friend in another Hind and the same radio freq (which radio device though?). Then when my engine caught fire, my friend in the other hind will hear my RI-65 announcement of something like "left engine fire bort 02" through the radio? Is there any specific conditions that is required for the message to be heard?
  6. I see, thanks! I take it that it hasn't been implemented in the current version of Hind yet right?
  7. Hi, thanks for replying, the explanation is much appreciated That clears up _Ri65 and common hydro, though for clarification, when will the "Борт" message be annunciated? as I cant think of any scenario in game where it might sound
  8. Hi everyone. So I am planning to mod the voice messages, but I am having some difficulty, thanks to the encryption. Reading the sdef and wave list from the docs, I can gues what most of them is saying, but there are sdefs that are named rather ambiguously, and I am not sure when does it occur and what it sounds like. The ambiguous lines are the following; Anyone know what these lines are for? Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/_Ri65.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/board.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/common hydro.sdef For reference, this is the remaining sdefs of interest. Most, like "main hydraulics failure.sdef" and "main transmission fire.sdef" is already self-describing and I can mod those just fine. Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/_Ri65.sdef (?) Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/apu fire.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/board.sdef (?) Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/common hydro.sdef (?) Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/device RI-65 is without fail.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/emergency fuel.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/generator failure.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/left engine fire.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/left engine vibration.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/lower gear.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/main hydraulics failure.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/main transmission fire.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/pump the feeder fuel tank failure.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/right engine fire.sdef Aircrafts/Mi-24P/Cockpit/RI65/right engine vibration.sdef
  9. Hi , have you found out the cause? Not sure what caused that, without looking at the DDS file I can only guess, but it seems like the dds export settings might be wrong
  10. Thanks all, it was fun Truly sorry for the teamkill after Alpenwolf declared the round is over, could've sworn what I saw was a Huey, I was wrong Edit: could we have a link to the match recording from anyone who's streaming? thanks
  11. Can I get some clarification on comms during the mission please? I saw both SRS and Teamspeak is listed, so we're going to use both or something? Will the pre-flight briefing include time where each team can discuss strategies? Especially since I'm on red and I don't speak russian, and I don't want to be a burden on the team simply because I can't communicate
  12. Just did a quick test, 4 gazelle rockets to the oil derrick sets it on fire, and about 1 minute later, explodes 3 gazelle rockets does not seem to be enough to destroy it, it burns for a short while then just smokes I also did a quick test to oil pump, and 2 gazelle rockets is enough to set it on fire and explode 1 minute later Consider changing both side's targets to oil pumps for balance?
  13. I believe allowing vikhr would give the blue side a disadvantage because they dont have guided missiles If you really need to use a guided munition, then just carry the Kh-25? Furthermore oil platform is not the target here. If you destroy the oil platform, then the target itself -the pump stations- will still be intact, hovering in the air. Edit: the no vikhr allowed statement has always been below the 4 images of helis. Look again.
  14. Of course that works fine, but if the AA mode can actually lase, locking on to helicopters or slow moving airplanes would be much easier
  15. So after reading around, including the flight manual itself, everything seems to suggest that while in AA Mode, the TGP can actually lase a target. Problem is the manual only mentions the CMBT OSB, and does not metion how to fire the laser itself: If the Laser switch on the AHCP is set to ARM, then “CMBT” will appear on the top line of the label. The system action OSB can be used to cycle the lower line of the label to ON and OFF. If set to OFF, the laser will be unable to fire. Being curious, I tried a simple mission carrying APKWS with couple of enemy helicopters as a target. Acquiring TGP track on the heli is pretty straightforward, and I have also set CMBT to ON. TMS UP Long while on TGP SOI just for good measure, and held down the pinky switch that is normally use to lase on AG Mode. There is no indications on the TGP page that I am currently lasing, and fired the APKWS. Despite the lack of lase indication, the rocket hit fair and square on the helicopter, which seems to suggest the lasing actually works. Surprised, I tried a few more passes repeating the same steps, but none of the passes afterwards results in the rocket tracking the supposedly-on laser. So, can you actually lase on AA Mode? was my first hit is simply pure luck? is this feature incomplete? is there supposed to be a lasing indication on the AA TGP Page? or is it correct as is?
  16. Hey guys, if you're still flying around I'd like to join
