Just started testing V5 and I seem to have encountered a bug. Flying around the zones after I had edited the units (but did not change any of their names) while using the F10 menu to select Troops in Contact I get nothing. It spawns in smoke and friendly units but the enemies never spawn. I used a player controlled air start huey that flies into the zone. Any ideas? -

That sounds great! It's been fantastic seeing how fast you've made progress. I'll wait for V4 to drop before making my Vietnam variant. -
If any of you have any helpful resources about the Vietnam conflict, specifically helicopter and naval operations, let me know! It's easy to find information about Vietnam but it's hard to find the nitty gritty that we'd want in Mission making.

This is very exciting! How will we set these units onward? Are we still putting them in a box in the corner or will they somewhat dynamically spawn with a random number of them? Can't wait! -

Just messed with it a bit. A few questions! Can I change the friendly groups to a coalition other than USA? For example without changing their name could I change the coalition to Joint Blue Task Force (or whatever it's called) and still not break the mission? Will it break the mission by changing the number of units in the groups too? (I assume not but figured I'd ask). Will it ever spawn more than one group vs one group or will it sometimes spawn multiple? Is there also a set distance the units spawn from each other? Thanks for the info this mission has a lot of potential. -

I haven't tried this yet but this looks like it'll help a ton to make some interesting helo ops. Interestingly will inserting troops work to help compete the objective? Also maybe if the friendlies get too roughed up we could extract them? I've been planning on making some Vietnam ops and ill definitely be checking this out! -
Hey @Eight Ball , love your work. I love having all the options I can, so anyway we can get a greenish/tan IDF recolor for Syria ops? I would also appreciate an OD green for Vietnam era US

You seem super knowledgeable about the Yom Kippour war. I've thought about making my own A4 ops around the concept but I've struggled to find good sources and such. Do you have a source that can show more about the Golan Heights campaign? Or maybe possibly make your own map? -
Things like the gunsght are borderline unusable in 2.5.6. Is there any fixes for this?

When the Emergency Gear is pulled the Gear handle floats out of its socket. Very minor bug.

Absolutely agree. At least a full fidelity MiG-29 and F-15 at the minimum, or maybe even a "Half-Fidelity" sort of setup where the FC3 aircraft aren't 100% full fidelity but still have more functions and clicky cockpits, ext. ADD more features instead of taking them away and rebranding it as a new product. -

Yes but new customers AND existing ones would have been much happier with different/unavailable for full fidelity aircraft. Would it have been more work? Yes definitely. But it would have appealed to a much wider audience. -

As the rest of the community has said, this is a poor decision. You've missed the entire point of why everyone but brand new players like FC3. So you've taken a small minority of FC3 users and appealed to them. -
Anyone ever figure out how to get this to pass IC or is it simply impossible?

It's really annoying to redo my graphics settings everytime I switch from VR. Is there a way to change for example what the "high" preset sets things to? I imagine it's in a config file somewhere.

This would be a great plane for Xplane 11, not DCS. Maybe one day they'll have to take the C out of DCS for stuff like this.

I'm sorry but I really hope they haven't been hyping us up for a trainer. :/ Yes I know the G-4 is a light attack aircraft but it's still not that capable. Everything is unconfirmed though so maybe there's still hope.
