Correct me if i am wrong but i believe the USAF in the vietnam war feared the Mig-19 more than the Mig-21. The Mig-19 was far more superior in dogfight manouvering than the Mig-21. And it seemed the NVA pilots were more adapted to it than the “newer” 21. The Mig-21 was not a very logical follow up from 5he 15-17-19 series. A completly different bird and feathers. And the differences might have been to much for the fast and quick learning curve of the nva pilot.

We are looking at the future of aerial warfare here. A virtual clickable fighter cockpit. of a plane that is no longer G limited by the pilot :-P

Well for me (european) its 320 Euro's incl taxes and without shipping. That is a bit steep for a plastic box with switches. Now don't get me wrong i think it is a great development but ill wait for the chinese version :D

I am running DCS 2.5 on a high end gaming laptop and i can tell you at first glance it looks like it is running soo much smoother. The whole enviroment looks soo much ritcher. And again i have a 20 fps perf increase at very high settings Amazing. I have not yet discovered any flaws. The whole install proces was a doozy too

I have purchased mine yesterday and it is at the cutters as we speak. very excited to see were this is going in the future. Thanks for making this ! I am still looking for green pillows to fit this do you have any for sale?

No offence taken ! Again i would fully understand the russian government if that is really the case. I billiondollar project beeing sold for 29 $ u.s.d. a piece. by a few quick dollar making people over the back of the russian tax payers that would make me very reluctant to give a export license to a software company before reviewing it. But again it is merely specualtion , and we have 90+ days to entertain ourselves that way :-P

Kamov is part of 51% state share holding Maybe the other 49 % leakt the information. Maybe the 51% did not like that. Anyway im sure we will get the adapted version soom :-)

I would fully understand it ! Games can be a covert way of transporting secret information about mil equipment. Why not a game ???? Dopes like us might not see it :smilewink: just a fun game right ? No i did not watch too many X files episodes :D

Maybe the russian government would like to take a look at the software first making sure no real secrets are beeing let out of the box. As real as we want it you can be sure that the software is not 100% as real as they might want to make you believe. maybe they got the info of the export model KA-50. But i can asure you again the real KA-50 is still closed terrain. And thus the sim is merely a "how they think it will be like" PC sim. So maybe the waiting will be a bit longer than planned for the "export software"
