  1. My framerate has taken quite a hit with 1.5.6. I've just downgraded to 1.5.5 to confirm and as soon as I'm in the cockpit on the briefing screen my FPS has dropped from 90 to 45 (Instant Action - UH1H - Free Flight). It feels like it's taking longer to load, too.

  3. I'm having the same issue with the non-Steam version :( I launch a mission and DCS crashes. I've only tried flights 1 & 2 in the Annotated directory though. Thanks very much for all the work you've done though! Can't wait to give them a go.
  4. I think it might be something I added manually after trawling through many posts on Rift VR performance. It was something someone suggested at some point, but I don't think it ever made a difference. I went through so many old posts on the forums trying to disable tree shadows and keep cockpit shadows and tried just about everything. It was probably this post from 2011: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1213835&postcount=1 and things have changed quite a bit since then!
  5. Shadows kill performance in VR, I get much better performance if I turn them off completely. There's supposed to be an update soon allowing us to have in-cockpit shadows on but world shadows off. Can't wait for that.   6. This is such a brilliant campaign, thank you so much SFC Tako! I really enjoyed the story and only having to worry about the flying bits is fantastic. Some very funny touches too, I particularly liked the comments on the guys dancing. There were a few game engine wibbles I had to work around (squad running through the tail and destroying the chopper, etc) but once I knew to look out for them it was great. The variety of times of day and weather conditions were really well chosen too, making for some really interesting flying. I loved flying in the storm and felt it a really nice change in pace to keep the story interesting. I came across a bit of a bug with the penultimate mission: Also: I just finished the campaign today and am really sad it's over. I might have to go back and play it again. Thanks again for taking the time to make the campaign and share it with us.
  7. I strap the throttle to the arm of my chair so it moves vertically and simulates the movement of the collective. It's also worth removing the centring spring from the stick if you can.
