  1. Powered hubs have an external supply. Game controllers don't use anywhere near USB2 spec in data transfer.
  2. The plug on a GX16 is 12.5mm. The plug on a GX12 is 9mm, the 12 is the dimension of the hole in which the female connector is mounted. Looks like you might have a GX16?
  3. Official comment from Winwing (Tonylin409) on the HOTAS/SIMPIT Discord:
  4. One option is to make parts of the pit modular/removable. E.g. you could turn a quick release, lift out the A-10 UFC and fire handles, unplug a cable, and plug in an F14 ACM panel, an F/A-18 UFC or an F16 ICP module in its place. Much easier for a VR pit where you wouldn't have mechanical steam gauges or displays, of course.
  5. I use a left-handed VKB Kosmosima grip on a Gunfighter base. They have just recently released a cheaper base with the same stick grip built in, the Gladiator NXT (but make sure you get the left handed version), that also has both a throttle wheel and two rotary encoders on its base. It starts at $120.
  6. It is one big PCB for the entire thing, I'm afraid.
  7. Leaked magazine scans says Airbus T16000M variant and new Airbus-style throttle, plus the desk mounts shown in the teaser.
  8. We have been saying this since before you launched, you know...
  9. What's the lead time on getting a discount code through the sales@vkb email? Is it halted because of covid-19 or did my email probably not reach them?
  10. (Mamba- 5 pins) (Gladiator Pro MkI - 5 pins) (Gladiator Pro MkII - 3 pins rev A) Gladiator non-pro with grip adapter upgrade - 3 pins rev B (Gunfighter MkI - 3 pins rev A) (Gunfighter MkII - 3 pins rev B) Gunfighter MKIII - 3 pins rev B So basically the only base you can buy new is 3pin revB. The grip you linked fits an older base that you would have to buy 2nd hand.
  11. Most parts are designed to be printed in PETG on a FDM/FFF printer. Some people have achieved very good results by using a DLP resin printer for buttons and knobs.
  12. I do not have any issue with the dual stage on my SCG-L premium. Perhaps your unit is defective.
  13. I use mic switch up to open the comms menu, then touch controller to navigate the menu. The rest of the mic switch is occupied by VoIP radio controls.
  14. I bought my module through STEAM, what do I do now? @aerogator If I bought the F-14 module on Steam, should I get a coupon from Eagle Dynamics or from Heatblur? Edit: Aerogator answered on the VKB forums, quoting here for info: [quote name=AeroGator Re: F14 TOMCAT GRIP ENTERING PRODUCTION PostThu Nov 28, 2019 7:08 ] Good question, and thanks for popping it up. We need to work it out. We will. You won't be left out. How, is hard to say now, but you won't, and you won't have to wait extra time either. UPDATE by AeroGator: Not cancelling what I had said above I however need to make clear that while Heatblur and DCS are our trusted partners, Steam is not (yet). Some specificity of that platform makes it unlikely that we reach agreement with them any time soon. At the same time we are not going to leave guys like @aniron overboard. Therefore, for now the provisional decision is that to those who had purchased their modules through Steam before 1 Dec (date may be adjusted to later time) we will provide the same discount on individual basis via email. Those who are looking to purchase the module through Steam later, be warned: we are not promising any discount.
  15. They have sold out of the Mk2, and have stated they will start selling the Mk3 around Christmas.
  16. 5" × 5" square LCD (correctly sized for F/A-18/A-10C/Harrier and more) I'd be interested in, if decent quality and reasonable price, plus easy to hook up to HDMI or similar. Even more so if it is also easy to mount (threaded holes?) and not too fragile.
  17. Real world flight recorders (a.k.a. black boxes) are orange so that they can more easily be found after a plane crash.
  18. Does it matter if you have the module through Steam or directly from ED/Heatblur? Also, which are the time limits attached to these two discount options?
  19. You can use JoystickGremlin or similar to simulate a button being held while the throttle is below X%. If DCS has a bindable function for whatever you are trying to have it do, then that will work, though you have to run JoystickGremlin in the background.
  20. If the displays have an HDMI Input, yes. Some Raspberry Pi displays connect to the GPIO instead.
  21. There is a Chinese national holiday week right about now. IIRC only the streamers/reviewers got their packages sent before this holiday.
