Thanks. Tried it and still super unstable with many crashes. I am on OB because I now get the NVIDIA ad at startup. Just cant find out how to launch stable.

Not sure why I would get an xplane log in the DCS folder. When I click on the desktop icon, I get pointed to open OB. It says my stable is updated when I try in the command prompt with the correct version #. How do I point it to open stable? missing 1 thing as I did this 2 months ago. Thanks.. dcs.log

I am running DCS on an old rig and need to go back to stable after trying open beta yesterday. Too buggy compared to relatively good performance on stable. Did the command prompt thing and says my stable is up to date. When I launch, I go to OPEN BETA and usually crash out. Desktop folder also says open beta. How do I get it to default to stable when clicking the icon on the desktop? Thanks... SCHOOL

Thanks for the review. How is the feel on the throttle sliding? Are they wobbly or loose feeling? I really like them to feel solid. School

Great information guys. Will look into the used sellers. I am usually fine with used and a warranty or return policy. The mining GPU issue brought up here had me a bit concerned. Grabbed the ddr3 memory to make 32 and will look into a GPU next after online testing.

64 GB is pretty reasonable now. Do you recommend skipping 32 and going to 64GB? I really only fly on the non combat aerobatic servers. Also wondering if there is any RAM limit to this motherboard.

Built this rig for a cockpit several years ago. It actually plays fine in SP but I am unable to fly in MP. I am not ready for a new build this year. Just want a new graphics card to drop in and get back online. Not looking to pull power unit either so card should be good with an older 600w. Looking at the 3060 card or rc 5700xt / 6000. $250 budget and would love some links…not big on used gear either. Non VR obviously but didn’t know where else to post. specs below. many thanks…. I am happy to report that the Apache runs better than the F-14 for me. Waiting on the new cards before a new build but no crashing or stutters here. Current: I5 4690 GTX970 16gb ram

About to pull the trigger on the 64 but wondering if I should wait until I upgrade. Was curious how it compares to the f-14. I am able to fly the 14 online and solo pretty well with only an occasional crash on MP. How does the Apache compare?

I built a generic cockpit for VR with unique buttons for easy recognition. With over 500 hours in the seat, I can go directly to the desired switch. Also very immersive having switches in the accurate location. The Virpil stick and custom twin throttle cover the remaining functions. SCHOOL

About a year ago, I moved DCS from my original SSD ( c: ) to a second SSD to free up space for Windows stuff. I would like to do a fresh install on the second SSD (E) only. I remember DCS was still referencing C: for user files. Can I do a fresh install and have everything on E? Thanks

Would it be possible to copy paste some sounds from other aircraft? I would of course backup the original file. Just wondering...….I do love how the F-14 sounds while using independent throttles

I too just picked up the Mig-19 and really enjoy it. As for the paint kit; My opinion is if the paint kit isn't released before the hype train dies, the buyers tend to loose interest in the aircraft. The amount of mods and skins for the 19 is minimal for how promising a module it is. Side note, The metal finish on the 19 is outstanding!!!!

I'm happy to report the WarBRD is working great with the 25mm extension in my pit. Perfect length for me. Now, Starting the ejection seat with cutaway cushion. SCHOOL

Finished up phase 1 and everything is working great. Also threw in a CM2 Virpil stick and in love with it. Future plans include more function on the right grip and some details on the lower throttle panel. SCHOOL

Got it resolved. Looks like I wasn’t actually clicking on the device on the top left corner so it wasn’t activated. Simple and stupid mistake... Blown away on how accurate my control is now. Refueling the F-14 just got much easier. Wanted to ad that the Virpil customer support responded within 1 day. I let them know it was my error and they replied back again the same day to confirm. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Opened up the software and the stick is recognized but the top left box is RED. When I try to load I get the PCB error. In windows, I see the axis moving but no buttons or slider for brake. trying firmware but taking forever....seems like a dead stick. Took the extension off and connected direct and still no success. 2nd photo is where firmware is stuck... Please advise...

Maybe, The parts and Items you ordered are not back in stock yet. I'm sure Virpil is honoring the order date and giving priority to preorders. They have been very proactive with the inventory issues. School

More progress on the throttle. Finished wiring up the switches in the throttle handles and now need to wire up the Leo board. I also connected the pots to the levers and everything is ultra precision with no play. Still more switches and details to add to the rear panel. When all is finished, I will add some weathering to match my cockpit.
