The Mig-17A wouldn't be a compelling entry, but I would consider a Mig-17F a must have DCS World Add-on purchase. I would definitely pay $60 for a DCS World Mig-17F, made with the same level of detail as the DCS World Mig-15bis. :punk:

Ok, that was the solution to the problem! I deleted the Mods, DemoMods, and CoreMods folders, ran a repair, the sim is loading up. I guess I have to reinstall the planes, but no biggie. Thank you so much for your help! :thumbup:

Even with the new update. I still can't get the Beta to run. Too bad, I was really liking DCS World, a really good sim. :(

Guys guys. Ok, I tried the DCS.exe trick & the beta didn't load up. I also looked for the headtracker.dll, but could not find it in the bin. Thank you both for your suggestions. I appreciate any advice that gets me closer to a solution and ruling out stuff is helping me get to fixing the problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I get the same problem. :dunno:

Ever since updating to the latest patch my open beta won't run. i click on the short cut for the open beta. I see the updater come on the screen momentarily, but then DCS World never loads up. Any suggestions? Thanks ahead of time! :thumbup:

I saw this F-16 from my window seat, just as the 737-800 I was onboard was ready to taxi onto a runway at Tucson International Airport. I suspect that this F-16 belongs to the 162nd Fighter Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard, not sure though. -TIE "] [/url] "][/url]

I don't know if all my fellow 176 squad mates know yet, Georgian Spring has a new website. I added a post in the 176 section regarding possible 176 GvIAP squad skins. The skins are not my own skins. They were made by a terrific Mig-15bis sim pilot named Chimango. He is a really good sim pilot and apparently a really good skin maker, too. He created skins that match the historical colors and markings of 176 GvIAP Mig-15bis planes. During the week, I usually run into players at 1 am to 3 am UTC, but I think that some players play at earlier time sand later times, as well. :thumbup: TIE

I am really glad I joined up with the 176 GvIAP. Casey, Merlin and Shaft, are great guys, so are the members of our crosstown rivals, the 71st. It would be great if more players would come and join us on Rob's server. Rob is running a great mission and we have a lot of fun. -TIE
