  1. Do i need to download this to get the latest training files? I purchased & downloaded the Huey module today.
  2. That sounds about right, makes sense. I was very surprised at the feel of speed off it. I've not got my head around the instrument panel yet, having not even opened the manual. At one point i was close to a hover and i NOTICED THE KNOTS DIAL SEEMED TO BE SHOWING ME DOING 100+ knots.. weird. (caps lock, opps)
  3. That is what i had assumed.. it must be just the feel. It feels a lot faster to me.
  4. I'm seeing them for £90 on fleebay (new). Not cheap, but nothing flight sim related is cheap, bit of a niche market.
  5. Just flew the Huey for the 1st time.. I found it a lot of fun, and not frustrating like i expected. Must be the years in the ka-50 that helped a lot. One thing i noticed it seemed very fast.. felt a lot faster than the ka-50. Is it? It was a blast , in several ways!
  6. Just flew the Huey for the 1st time... i own all the other modules and this is the 1st time i'm seriously considering pedals. Certainly possible to fly without them, i just had a hoot doing slalom around building across a city.. but pedals will help more in this airframe than any other i've flown.. and the list is long. Are these the suggested best ones? Saitek USB Pro Flight Rudder Pedals PZ35 Cheers
  7. It helps if you are born into a royal family, but alas that is not possible for most of us, so the other option is to have everything you desire immediately given to your by your doting parents and it's a distinct advantage to be an only child. Or alternatively you might just have the nesessary genes that suite this personality trait! :P
  8. 'sound off' is slang for 'complain' in the UK, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the content of this thread! :)
  9. He might well be right, but I'm pretty damn sure testers are NOT privy to the commercial decisions regarding the future releases. Testers are only beta testers, they are not ED employees and have nothing to do with product marketing. (and even if they were they are unable to clarify any info they might be privy to due to their NDA)
  10. Can you point me to where this has been announced please? Otherwise it is just hearsay. Thanks.
  11. Hmmmm sale... I've had no time to sim recently, not flown in months, do i buy the Huey for a good price and not fly it for months or not... I love these tough 1st world problems/decisions.
  12. 'Friday updates' are a waste of time IMO. I'd actually prefer news when there is something significant and decided to be announced, irreverent of time frame. Once a month or once a year. I understand it from a 'raise our profile' point of view, but i think it detracts from the rest of the forum that can be a great source for sharing and building knowledge. The community wastes it's energy 'discussing' the 'news'. I'm all for the DEVs sharing their thoughts and plans.. but not in a structure every Friday way. Just my 2 cents.
  13. 'Groove is always right' ™.. if you don't know that by now you haven't ever disagreeable with him :P Hence this thread is all wrong :) But in all seriousness you can never expect everyone to like news, its always the people who dislike it that make the most noise, everyone should know this. If there was no disgruntled customers you likely have no customers!
  14. Personally I'm very happy with FC3 level of fidelity modules, as i simply don't have the time to dedicate to another study sim, got a business to run and kids to be a lackey to. What i am disappointed about is it just sounds like Flaming Cliffs content being distributed for another xx amount of dollars. I'd be happy if they had announced a NEW plane or 2 at FC3 fidelity, but i have already bought the these airframes 4 times already.. a 5th time is too many. If the AFM gets added to existing FC3 owners, brilliant, if not well as a customer i feel like every penny has been rung out of me for for these airframes.
  15. If that is the case that would be great. I was certainly left with the impression from the news update that the AFM would be exclusive to these new modules. It doesn't make much sense otherwise....Is ED expecting a decent number of sales if they give the AFM to FC3 as an update? I won't be holding my breath... wishing but expecting to be disappointed.
