  1. Although we did not have any screenshots of the machine in flight on DCS, we did have numerous images of the machine's graphic development.
Nevertheless, it must be noted that the year 2025 does not seem to have gone as planned in terms of the project's development, to the point where one can frankly wonder whether this module will ever be released.

That's my personal opinion, and like St Thomas, I'll believe it when I see it... After so many years of announcements, I'm now waiting for something tangible and more than just a plan, a calendar or annoucements...

  5. Hello @Flappie,
    It was with SRS.
I don't have the UH module but the problem was a few days ago reported by the members of our Huey Squadron.

I'll tell them to contact you directly.
And I could be wrong, but it seems to me that you speak French... that could make things easier. 😉

  6. Bug also published on the ED Discord

Although this module is so old, it is still impossible to fly in multicrew in a multiplayer game because of certain recurring bugs. For example, it is impossible to communicate on the VHF radio in multicrew. Whatever radio you select, you can only transmit on the FM radio. It isn't possible to transmit on VHF. This problem still exists even if the pilot waits for the copi to reach the machine before starting the cold & Dark and activating the first buttons and switches. The UH-1H is therefore unusable for multicrew in multiplayer, which is rather disconcerting given that ED made it possible to do so. If anyone has a solution to this problem, it would be very helpful, or thanks to ED for resolving this issue.

The team will of course correct this particular item in due time. For now we have other pressing items to address. Stay tuned for future updates.

    thank you

It's understandable that a lot of work has gone into correcting the problems, and the two successive patches to the latest update are further proof of this.

However, I'd like to point out that this particular problem was mentioned more than a year ago (17 Jan 2023 !!!) and has never been corrected... it's getting to be a long time.

So this bug was already reported long before the CH-47 was released.
So we can only hope that a solution will finally be found quickly... And the arrival of the CH-47 module doesn't seem to have given this topic any priority... which is a shame.

  8. I totally agree, the F10 map is not easy to use, especially for VFR Fly in Helos.
    - Nearly no marking names related to vilages.
    - Powerlines are only visible when you zoom to the max level While these are stop lines that are very useful for navigation.

I'd really like the F10 map to look like a real, usable map.
The current colours are also very surprising and confusing.
Personally, I find this F10 map practically unusable.

Flappie created a map for the Caucasus which, in my opinion, is the best map currently available on DCS.
It would be great to have an F10 map for CWG that looks like this model.

I'd also like to mention that this is practically one of the only negative points of this map, because the rest of the work that's been done is just amazing.
The level of detail is very impressive, so a very big thank you for this achievement.

The T-34 was shown in the video "2025 and Beyond"

The T34 is more a World War II tank than a Cold War tank, even though it was for example still used in the years 8-90 in the former Yugoslavia.

  10. On the "Cold War Germany map" promo video we can see a T-62M and a BTR-70.
These two assests are not yet available in DCS.
Is there an asset pack "Cold War" planned (paying or not) ?

  11. Top, a simple video to explain the "step by step" processe could be great !
My resquest is mainly on loading waypoints and routes.

Basically in your saved games folder there's a DCS_OH-58D folder (or something like that, I'm writing from work) and in there you should have 3 .json files, mission1.json, mission2.json and mission3.json.

They are your "DTC"s which you can upload and download data from whenever you wish. To do that, you need to do in the (again, writing from faulty memory) Init -> Data Loader. There you will have option to either Store data or Load data. When storing/loading data for Mission 1/2/3 that data gets stored/loaded in/from the respective json file.

If the folder in the saved games is empty, just go to any instant action mission, go to the Data Loader and store missions to the Mission1, Mission2 and Mission3. Now you will have those 3 json files that you can edit. It stores Waypoints, Radio frequencies, Battlefield graphics, Laser codes and maybe something else.

Now, if you prepare data from the mission editor, you'll already have it preloaded in the bird so it defeats the purpose of the "DTC". However, you can edit those "DTC" files anytime, anywhere and just place them in your saved games folder on the go and load it in the cockpit.

    ---

One example usecase is the following:

I'm mission commander and I'm building our flightplan for the mission on some MP server. As I can't pre-set everything in the mission editor this is what I would do.

    1. Go to mission editor, drop one KW and start building
    2. Add main flight route
    3. Draw any battlefield graphics I might need (Ensure that the BindingLayer is set to the same coallition as your aircraft)
    4. Set all radio frequencies
    5. Start the mission with the hotstarted birt
    6. Set laser codes for all presets
    7. Go to Data Loader -> Mission 3 -> Store ALL

Now I just send the "mission3.json" to my friends, they save it in the SavedGames folder I mentioned earlier and then we can join the MP server, after startup just load the "Mission 3" and we all have the correct flight plan, graphics, radios and laser codes...

Thx for that, I will for sure try that later today.
