  1. If he changes his avatar and user name to BUGNEWY then we'll know the Hornet is being released in two weeks
  2. See if Steam will give you a refund. FYI- M2000 was just added to the DCS 50% off summer sale. Even if you can't get a refund you can recoup the loss if you want to switch over to DCS World stand alone install.
  3. Go to Advanced Reply and after all the symbols for Quote, You Tube, and Facebook is the Spoilers Icon. First click and hold over the text you want in that area to select it then click on that Spoiler icon.
  4. Only in the L-39 and the Gazelle for now.
  5. I'll try the adaptive modes in full'screen and see how that works. Thx. One question about forcing full-screen. Do I have to start DCS in windowed mode with fullscreen unchecked in-game? Maybe one day I won't be so confused by all these monitor settings but you are talking with someone who once had a tv/stereo that looked something like this...
  6. I noticed that the V-sync helped but was also causing a hit to performance. I tested the 4 settings and found... On= Gets rid of tearing but drops FPS by 15 or so Adaptive= Seemed to do nothing but lower FPS Adaptive(1/2 refresh rate) = Didn't work as well as On and same FPS loss Fast= Works as good or better than On and no FPS loss
  7. FC3 is compatible with DCS World and like any other aircraft module will work in all versions. FC2 is before my time but I think that's pre-DCS World. You don't need to install FC2 then FC3 if that's what you're asking. Just FC3.
  8. If you don't check the "remember me" box when logging you get logged out pretty quickly.
  9. Using Nvidia V-sync is a big improvement. I always kept V-sync off because I thought it was for V-sync Monitors only, if there is such a thing.
  10. VSync off in-game and Application controlled in Nvidia Panel. I just tried Vsync on in-game and although it did seem to get rid of tearing it replaced it with an equally annoying "vibrating" effect.
  11. Funny. I just opened a thread on screen tearing. Maybe I'm not the only one. The frame looks like its ripping apart when looking side to side?
  12. I've been having issues with what I guess is screen tearing. Most noticeable on canopy frame when quickly looking side to side. In 2.1 version I only see this when pressing Alt+Enter (testing to see if it helped performance} but I see it in 1.57 version all the time now. I.ve been playing around with all kinds of settings in-game and with Nvidia settings so I'm wondering what settings could affect this or what I could do to get rid of it. I have an ASUS PB277Q with 1MS response and 75HZ refresh rate. Computer spec= I7 6700K, GTX 970. 16 gig RAM.
  13. SU-25 SM Confirmed! Is this bomb new too? RBK 250-275 AO-1SCH. Haven't made new loadouts in a while but I don't remember seeing it before. A search reveals it's a frag type like the ptab 10-5. In testing it it seems equally useless.
  14. Have you thought of an ext hard drive. Good for backup too. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=1E8-0006-00100
  15. What exactly is the problem? Did you update with mods installed?
  16. The standard HE round effect is being used so far and can be hard to see. Disappears quickly and not real dark. Haven't tested in Caucasus but that's what it's like in Normandy
  17. I noticed rain looks different/better.
  18. I put together an Omaha beach landing mission too and had same result. One thing that seemed to help was making landing craft static objects instead of "ships" although that's a sacrifice some might not want to make. The focus of my mission is to take out 4 naval guns as well as 88's guarding nearby airbases. Along with that I have multiple randomly spawning groups of tanks heading from beach to airbases and removing all of them is only thing that gets rid of the one second stutter. Frustrating since a Normandy beach invasion doesn't work without troops invading. For now I'm going to keep mission as is and hope some optimizing can fix it. I do agree that ships, static or not, and artillery as well are 2 things that cause this one second stutter with OK FPS problem the most.
  19. In Module Manager did you go into the store area and scroll to A-10C? There instead of Buy it should say Download or Install. You also need to be logged in in-game. If A-10C was already on computer, then you downloaded DCS World it may not recognize it. Re-installing A-10C might make it work but I'm not sure of that. Good luck and welcome to the forum.
  20. More Metal!:punk: Udo Dirkshneider would work as an AC/DC stand in.
  21. When you update DCS World all modules are updated along with it. To install modules you do it with module manager at top of screen. You don't need to buy a new copy of A-10C however it can be tricky to get these installed. Try going to DCS Homepage and log in and go to profile. There is a box there that you can enter serial number in to check and see if its bound to your account. If it is and it still doesn't install correctly do a support ticket. I recall having to create a new serial number for boxed version when I merged mine into DCS World.
  22. I'm going to back-track on my saying that I can reproduce a problem by changing seasons like watermanpc says. Yes this changes the textures to a fall look for me but that is what should happen. So the problem is when starting that A-10A Nevada mission (which is set in September) then opening my mission in Normandy (set in June) what I'm seeing is the fall colors although it should be summer colors.. First image shows summer. Second shows what fall should look like but I'm also seeing this fall pattern in my summer mission after opening the Nevada mission.
  23. Your mission should be fine. I just tried inducing the problem then saving the now corrupt mission and textures are normal after quitting and restarting DCS.
