Maybe some of the nicer post-war liveries as well. The C-47's career is long and varied.

I am fairly sure that you are right on that. But then, perhaps it was a slight error that it was not necessary to do it.

Feels to me it is less of an viewpoint angle thing and more of a field of view problem.

I mean, sure, but... you see how building a mission that requires it was your own decision, right?

I'd say it's mostly just not worth the effort of going to a complicated solution here, seeing how there are very few missions on DCS maps that really require in-flight refueling. It's a nice thing to be doing and once in a while it gives you a few extra options, but seldomly something decisive. P.S.: Guess a 'refuel while within a sphere of influence around the tankers' approach would be doable easily enough.

Hm... Aegean or Adriatic... that's about a coin-toss in my book.

While I, too, hope that the Germany map gets expanded a bit further into Poland (and Czechoslovakia) than plans indicate so far, that's probably not going as far as that. I'm a bit afraid the chances aren't all that great to get it, but I might like it, too.

Just up the power to some components for more everything, including risk of cancer to everyone involved.

The valid question here is why we are only allowed to save one custom preset still. Of course there are workaround and of course we can at last alter the coalitions while editing, but it is still a rather simple wish. [Cue the people explaining to me how that is totally an extensive task to allow more text files to be added to the already existing list]

Just a little suggestion: Seeing how this seems to be progressing nicely, how about throwing a thread or two in the actual dedicated section on here? It is woefully empty and decidedly unmoved since the 'here is a Discord server' post from 2022.

I'll try that sometime soon, but here's an assumption: Since the launch authorization conditions are kind of tight for the AT-6, I wouldn't be surprised if those were not met in the track. After all what that does is replicate the inputs, so if this is rather late in the mission the positions of target and helicopter might have shifted from the actual mission and thus the recording-pilot hit the launch button but never got tone.

I know this isn't supposed to be much of a discussion thread per se, but... what the heck did that even mean?

Fair enough. My point was more: lets finish this instead of throwing ever more on the to do pile.

Frankly, yes. Even though the Bat Bomb is a bit of a novelty item as well. Just paint the tyres on for a livery.
-
How about we, once in a while, ask for the A version that was on the roadmap still instead?

I mean, some of the things that were even advertised as literally just 3D model replacements took that long... But in all seriousness, yes, I'd expect it to be a bit quicker than that.

Not really required. You can skip most tests in most missions in DCS.

The usual time between something getting shown in the newsletter as 'soon' and it actually being a thing is roughly two years.

I'd say the worst offender to me is the MiG-15 actually. To the point that dogfighting it in the Sabre - mind you, pretty much the only 'pairing' that ED ever really released - is so little fun that I had taken to tangling with more modern enemies instead during my Sabre era. The problem of the simplified flight models of the AI being rather inaccurate in these regards obviously becomes more and more visible when you are actually dogfighting. DCS seems to much prefer BVR engagements of modern jets in which this doesn't matter much. But what is worse is that ED in all their combined wisdom have decided to include AI that pretty much exclusively and constantly sticks to manoeuvres and tactics that exploit/showcase this weakness of the simulation to the max.

To be honest, in my opinion the quality of the animations is currently the least of CA's problems.

I heard the next patch is going to implement a WIP version of visible deck crew carrying ordnance over for re-arm. Very excited about that one.

I find the immersion is somewhat limited by the fact that in DCS that requires the mission to be specifically rigged for it and if you aren't overly fit with the rather badly documented scripting options, that means your overall immersion remains a 'yay, well done' message if you manage to land in a very specific place.

Because Aerges takes some of this seriously, I reckon.
