Speaking of Mi-8 liveries...
a) Yes, please, an official GDR livery would be very much needed
b) Perhaps an ED intern could go through the liveries and give them proper names? 75% of them are called 'FICTIONAL ARMY' with no indication of which bloody army, which is a bit of a nuisance.-

Nobody crashing out, nobody colliding, nobody warp-jumping with network troubles? No way this is a DCS multiplayer server...

I doubt there is a lot of money to made in this. Contrary to a racetrack, there is not much of a way to force people to pass by these billboards much. Be that as it may, I would the M230 punches properly positioned holes through the Meta billboard...

Here's the thing: a lot of military radio traffic basically is puzzle-like pieced together phrases. Sure, the 'seams' of these bits could be done better, but that is less of a 'we need AI to synth new audio in real time' problem and more of a sound design problem. That, also, can easily be shown with other sims from 20 years ago.
The other important thing is, that as far as I'm concerned, the 'poor intonation and lack of variety in phrasing' just frankly is the least important of the weak points of DCS' radio communications. Is there some potential in it? Sure, I guess. But I feel it is wasting resources (both in dev time and in user computer power) on the wrong things.

Certainly doable and not requiring any of the pointless nonsense we have come to know as 'AI' in recent years. Other games have done it rather well 20 years ago.

This is incorrect. While it is true that from the perspective for the customer, there is no difference, it’s quite different from the perspective of the developer.
While it may surprise you to learn that ED withholds all pre order revenue from 3rd parties until after they ship, this is the case.
Good thing you are close to the release then!

Voice recognition, shmoice recognition.
Would it be a cool to have feature? Oh, certainly. But seeing how the ATC system is barely functional at all in DCS, I would vote for reworking its core functionality first before attempting any such shenanigans.

Hi all. Here you have an update on our projects.
Work continues on all aspects: we keep advancing on coding for both the F1M, the F-104 and the radar upgrade, improving art, which includes pilot models, and progressing as well on several other improvements and features. In any case, it should be mentioned that some of these items are long term projects, not something imminent.
Is there any rough timeframe? Just asking so we can schedule our next fabricated outrage accordingly.

I liked that. Bit of a trailer feel to it. A little too hard on the very-close-in-action for my taste, but it's nice work.

Ah, thank you. Yes, that kinda answers my question more; just as I thought, it is some bits 'kinda there' but none of it working (yet).

@Kang, yep i do that no problem, and yes i can fire all missiles, my problem is
1. is there a key-bind for the "W and S, needed to select a target, as i cant find that in the lists
2. a key-bind for the "D to select the target from the list
i know how to get the target, keep it aligned etc, i am trying to put W,S,and D, onto my HOTAS instead of on the keyboard, my apologies if i weren't dead clear in the beginning
it may be they are not bind-able yet?
Oh, sorry, I misunderstood the problem. I think admiki's advice nailed that.

All WW2 artillery and AAA has implemented the Tow mode, but the towing ability has actualy none implemented on WW2. Has some WW2 tower tractors on axis and allied, but dont have the tow abilitiy.
Has actualy as some buided modern tow tractors, but missing fuel modern trailers.
Does 'implemented' mean that I can actual get those things towed by something? Even if the tractors are not period-correct? If so, how do I set it up?

Do they go around in a pattern once or do they stay there?
Have you tried placing them further out initially as razo+r suggested? -
So, just wondering how things progress with trailers. Not the little movie kind, the towed vehicle kind.
Quite a while ago ED added a few vehicles that were specifically tractor units. The other day I noticed that quite a few units that are technically trailers, like several AA guns, now appear in the limbered configuration in the encyclopedia at least (even though I believe the QF 3.7" has a few bits the wrong way around, but I might be mistaken).
That all leads me to the question: how is the progress on the system and can we expect to have usable trailers anytime soon? How is it going to work in the ME?

Are you within your launch parameters?
Assuming your observer locked a target and you are estimated to be in range, you have to align the moving reticle (which shows where your observer is aiming) and the fixed reticle. You will hear a tone then. Press and hold your weapon release button when you do.

It's done when it's done. I'm confident that Aerges has full control.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but they said the new updated radar model will come with the M and trickle over to the other versions? Pretty sure this is what takes up most of the time and efforts.

While I would of course also like a little update now and then, I perfectly agree here. It's probably that whole radar overhaul that takes a long time and I'm perfectly sure that things are progressing nicely.

Getting something good enough for DCS is going to be a lot easier to do with an AI only module than it would be with a flyable module.
Definitely. And it's still going to be a huge effort to make sure that all modules' radar systems react accordingly.

Is this in a mission you made, or a user mission or even multiplayer? I seem to recall there was a way to use a 'standard' carrier instead of the 'crew and stuff' supercarrier.

Walk around feature
在 DCS: C-130J

There is a thread asking about it up there in the MiG-29 area and they were rather quick to point out that they 'were experimenting with it' and there is no intention of making it an actual feature there, let alone a general feature.
Not exactly beating certain allegations, but it is what it is.
