Hello all, I did scripts for my dedicated server, I'm pretty sure they could interest other sysAdmins/missionMakers, so I decided to share them for people to not have to rebuild the wheel. Script to control the groundSpeed on parkings/taxiways and send a player to spectator By default (but editable): - speed<25kt: no message - 25kt<speed<40kt: message to the player only - 40kt<speed: player unspawned and sent to spectator (you can uncomment the line to kick the player if you prefer ) Here is the script and the how to: https://github.com/frasta/DCS_script_groundSpeedLimit It's working on dedicated server only, if you want to use it on a mission your are hosting on your "normal DCS client acting as a server", edit the code to us unit:destroy() instead of force_player_slot. Script to kick players doing teamshooting/teamkilling The first version of this script was quite sensitive, it was autokicking when the first bullet was touching the plane of someone else in the same team. I made it more flexible (because accidents happen): now the victim (only him) receives a message from the server to know if the player must be kicked or not, in the next 30 seconds after the shot. It helped a lot on my server to reduce "kids behaviours". Now people are more respectful, and if it's just an accident, the victim can choose to not kick him Details and script are here: https://github.com/frasta/DCS_script_autoKick Script autorestart the mission The script will manage to restart the mission on the server after 10H (editable) only when the last player leaves the server, very useful when you have to reboot the server because beginners make holes in your runways , or because most of players prefer to fly during day, etc.... Of course, if players stay connected longer, the mission will not reboot until the last player disconnect (after the 10 hours) Here is the link => https://github.com/frasta/DCS_script_autorestartMission Script to make players stop to shoot in forbidden zones When you are managing a public server, sometimes players just take off, come back to the same airfield and shoot vehicules/buildings/planes/players in the area, which is really annoying. This script can't send them to spectator (because of "double" (or more) weapon, script is triggered twice, spectorizing the player, but the script is executed a second (or more) time and try to spectorized a player not here anymore. So I took decision to make an explosion at the position of where the naughty player is. you can edit the explosion size and/or message in the .lua file. Here is the link => https://github.com/frasta/DCS_script_NoShootZone DCS removeJunk script 🕳 Sometimes players crash or bomb on airbases (or eject from the ground, making explode their airplane ), creating craters, wreckages or debris, all of them could be annoying for other players who didn't ask anything. This script detects a crash in zones and delete the craters/wreckages/debris. Hi Grimes, Thank for the work, I just tested, and now it works again! I didn't even add: local group = Group.getByName('Al Minhad DEF') trigger.action.deactivateGroup(group) In the mission, I just remplaced mist_4_3_74.lua by the mist_4_4_87.lua from the dev' branch and it's fine Thank you for the fast fix :thumbup:

Big servers need to move on stable, events also I personnaly do bug reporting, and I will continue because I want to contribute and help dev' team to make DCS better, but 95% of people on the OB don't do it and stay on the OB for the reasons I mentionned in my first post. That's why I'm opening this discussion, to see if people are ready to move their squadron and/or server to the stable

In a way, yes, but the tests are also very important on the multiplayer servers, many bugs are possible only in MP. Blade's idea is pretty good, if the OB access is "harder", only motivated people with some knowledges will find it

Hello all, After a deep debate with my friends yesterday about the question: should we move to the stable? I decided to take my keyboard to share with everyone what we think with my friends Why? In every squadrons the question has very probably been debated many times, the bugs are frustrating pilots but when they consider this option of moving, they are stopped by understandable reasons: - there are more servers on the OB - many of the popular servers are on the OB - events are on the OB - new features are teased on OB So when pilots have plans to fly on public MP servers, and/or want to participate to events, they have no choice to use the OB. Debates very often finish here, because every others are on the OB so we follow... That's why I'm here now, if we, most of us, are already thinking about moving their squadron to the stable but being scared to be "alone", then we should do it together and accept to stay on the stable, the other squadrons and most of servers will follow Maybe we could even suggest to ED to keep the communication (trailer and other annoucements) for the stable instead of the OB? It will not block the contributors to fly on the OB to do reporting OB should stay for people who want to contribute to DCS Stable should be the place to fly and do events, be wise and patient, haste leads to disappointment

High voltage lines not visible with clouds in background

Hello, Since DCS 2.5.6.50321 I noticed when you fly low (lower than lines), the lines are not visible when there is clouds on background. If you fly higher than the lines, you can see them again. Same behaviore on multi' ans in solo'. If you put a good weather without clouds the problem isn't existing, but if you put a bad weather with clouds: In attachement you will find a .zip with mission file + track file I hope it help Thank you

Hello, Since the last patch, DCS World 2.5.6.50321, there is no propeller animation anymore when engine started. Hello, I found and corrected something on the C-130 in DCS World 2.5.6.49798 The wing tip position (for the vortex) has something wrong as you can see here: So I analyzed, did some tests and I found the good place to correct this small mistake: How to fix it: 1) Open the file: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Scripts\Database\PlaneConst.lua 2) Go to the ligne: 3479 3) Correct the positions: Old values: New values: wing_tip_pos = {-2.627, 2.465, 19.9},I hope it helped the team :) Thank you to the team for the future integration Will I get the credit in the changelog please? :D

Hello, As a helo' fanboy, I discovered the SuperCarrier module with the Huey, and I found something to adjust with the Arleigh burke. Seen on the 2.5.6.49314 The antenna behind the helipad : - doesn't have animation to lie down (like the fences) or being removed (I don't know how it works IRL) - doesn't have collision (it would force pilote to call the boat before touching the pad, or force them to be carefull in case of radio problem) I'm talking about this antenna: Also visible here: Solution would be to: - add collision box on this antenna - add the animation as for the fences or make it disappear Thank you all for the work

If you want to remove the FLOLS overlay which pops in your cockpit just before landing: - close DCS - go here C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\tech\Supercarrier\PLATCameraUI - open FLOLS.lua in admin mod (with Notepad++ for example) - line 41, replace "FLOLS:setVisible(val)" by "FLOLS:setVisible(false)" - save, close and restart DCS And put "false" to "val" to revert It may not pass the IC

Ok guys, the SuperCarrier is breaking the Pandora, and someone even reported me the mod was making his superCarrier not working (not collision on the deck).
