  1. [bitch mode ON]It's so detailed that they forgot to correctly close the model. You can see the airport terminal in a gap between the sun shade and the panel when he looks at the dust on the chronometer...[/OFF] But it's really impressive.
  2. [kidding ON] Because it's the most beautiful aircraft in the world [kidding OFF]
  3. Just wanted to share my pleasure with you. I have just received my new Joy Stick. If you want a Russian jet stick, now you know where to go!
  4. that's exactly the company I speak about in the thread I linked above
  5. Might be interesting to launch a poll to know which russian stick deserves it most...
  6. Check out here : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1140809&postcount=34
  7. Some news about this project. The tarmac aces team has worked well. The parts are from resin, charged with aluminum powder, for the look and feel. The mechanical parts will be from cast metal. After a bit of painting job : Waiting for the electronic components The sticks should be finished this week. Maybe they'll consider doing some russian stuff after that. They just need a correct 3D model. You can contact them at the following address : http://www.tarmac-aces.com/html/en/contact.php
  8. A new poll has been set up, because the previous one was not clear enough. http://www.checksix-forums.com/showthread.php?t=164654 The 2 option are now : 1) I want to buy this kit. 2) I want to buy this kit but I don't feel confident with the electronics. If you are not interested, please don't vote.
  9. Here are more detailed information on you'll have to do if you buy the stick : Tarmac Aces will make a nearly empty pilot grip . The switches , metal trigger , security lock , and all the things wich have to be assembled with axis and springs will be pre-assembled . You will have to take a Cougar grip , open it , remove carefully all the hats and the electronic card without unsolder them , to have all the wires and switches and hats in hand . Then , you'll have to unsolder the switches (and only the switches ! ) , assemble all the wiring and hats of the Cougar into the Mirage 2000 pilot grip , solder the Mirage 2000 pilot grip switches to the free wires . Then , you'll have to remove the big fastening ring of the Cougar , and assemble it in the bottom of the Mirage 2000 pilot grip . You'll then have to replace the F16 hat heads by the Mirage 2000 hat heads yourself . The hat heads will be with your pilot grip , of courseThat's all ! You'll have a Cougar electronic in a Mirage 2000 pilot grip What do you think of that ?
  10. You can't. You need the PCB. And I can swear you there is one in the handle.
  11. Doing a MOD is something. Copying the PCB is another thing. The other Cougar MODs don't have to copy a part of the HOTAS to work. That the great difference IMHO.
  12. TM can do what they want. It's their design and their electronics. For a small independant developer, it's not the same. If they want to sell their product and not be sued, they can't violate TM's copyright. And I imagine this the problem that made joe kurr stop his project. Maybe he could contact Tarmac Aces to find a solution with them.
  13. I don't think they will do an interchangeable, because they don't want to copy TM's PCB. Frankly, who would legally? IMHO, they'll do other sticks. I don't know which ones.
  14. I imagine it is even possible to do the electronic part of the job with any other HOTAS, like the X52 All in all, it's just some soldering points
  15. I know that it's not as popular as the F-15 F-18 or Su, but they need only 10 buyers to make the project possible (financially). That's why I posted there. So, if you read this and have a great interest into this stick, please vote 1 or 2 to the poll on C6.
  16. I'm not the creator of this Mod. The problem with the Cougar is the PCB being inside the stick. They don't want to copy the TM PCB. Therefore, the only solution is to take the PCB form the Cougar stick and hard wire it to the existing Mirage switches. I know it's a bit hard to think to canibalize your own Cougar, but I for one would be ready to do it.
  17. The server is out temporarily. This is a project from a team who already did sticks for WWII fighter and for the Mirage III. Their stick doesn't need support from TM. This is a replacement for the F-16 replica. All you need is to redo the electronic connections from your Cougar PCB to the Mirage stick switches.
  18. If you have a HOTAS Cougar and love the Mirage 2000, you should definitely go there : http://www.checksix-forums.com/showthread.php?t=164274 the real thing :
  19. Hey, I'm speaking of FF5.5.2 !
  20. 1) It still misses 3D buttons and switches. 2) The HUD is floating outside the reflector glass. 3) the backlighting color is not realistic. I don't even imagine there is a floodlighting... Sorry, but to me it still looks like a shitty 3D pit. :megalol:
  21. No, it's time for Falcon's rebirth...
  22. Good joke... ...but not realistic !
