  1. Yes, oculus touch support. Who would have thought of that? We will use our hands to reduce sun blending.
  2. Last time I checked in 2.1, it looked strange. The canopy had a texture on it. I believe it needs to be updated to support pbr?
  3. Crashing when exiting mission is normal for me since 2.1. But not always. Maybe 70% of times. Still getting it in 2.1.1.
  4. I currently fly m-2000 in Nevada map and can say that hud is much better than in 2.1. Yes, the cockpit is a bit dark and there is still a problem against the very light sky, but I believe that this is more realistic than before. It feels as if I wear sun glasses.   8. This could mean that more textures where updated to support physical based rendering? Although, it was not mentioned in the changelog.
  9. So, from the changelog it looks as if the Normandy performance issues in VR are not fixed? We should still follow Wags recommendation to set "MSAA and Anisotropic values to zero, and instead enable these only through your graphics cards settings manager"? Also the crash after mission is still in? Strange, as last week they mentioned that they where working on bugs.

  11. Well, not actually true, as now we get physical bases rendering and deferred shading. Do you really think this is just a different way of doing things? These new effects need a lot more power to run. It is the correct way to go, but it just needs more graphics power.
  12. Lets all not forget how lucky we all are with our hobby today. I still remember the days when there was no flight simulation available to speak of. And everybody kept saying that I should forget about them, as they are a dying piece of software. This is not and will never be a mass market, so don't wait. There was a time when you could no longer buy a flight stick. Fortunately mass market compatible ego shooters kept graphic card manufacturers busy and now much more busy because of deep learning. We all can use those cards for our hobby, as simulations need a lot of graphic memory. This is probably also why some people have better performance and others less. make sure your graphic settings match the graphic card memory you have. We have an exotic hobby, but are lucky that some companies can make enough money to survive and create great things for us.

  14. Wow, with the new update a lot of things behave differently. It is now easier to keep the plane from falling all the time with AFK and landing gear. Landing is easier. Taxing needs more thrust? Or did I break something after landing? Mission end did not mention any broken parts. Anybody feel a difference in AFK and gear down?
  15. Wow, I'm touched by all the people who spend their time to help me. Thank you Vladisky, Smee and RaXha for your effort. From all these different explanations including very nice pictures and drawings I can see following things that are different in my approach. 1- I usually start the landing procedure at 15Km distance and 500 -600 meters hight. All videos that I saw start later and lower. 2- I use the AFK autothrottle which will put me into 550 Km/h until I lower my landing gear at 15 Km to an AOA of 12 degree. I have the feeling that at 15 Km and at 600 meter height I cannot reach the air strip using AFK. I was expecting that if I follow the manual and use automatic control, it should work. Is anybody else using AFK during landing procedure? At which distance do you lower the gear and how high are you then?
  16. Just tried like 7 times to land. Always crashed. Just can't get the glideslope slow enough.
  17. Thanks Yurgon. So, this means that I never actually did a real landing in any of the planes, as I was never able to master that glideslope. Need to really learn that.

Wiki article claims that the RB-04 has a 300 kg (660 lb) HE blast and pre-fragmented warhead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RB_04 RB-15 has a 200 kg HE blast and pre-fragmented warhead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RBS-15 This does not match the manual. Theoretically the RB-04 should have more impact on a ship that the RB-15.
  19. Thanks people for all the tips. I know that I'm coming too fast and that is causing the effects I'm experiencing. Problem is that my viggen drops to the ground if I'm too slow. below 380 and I cannot keep my height. This makes it difficult in the last meters to hit the beginning of the airstrip. With other planes I can manage to level flight the last meters and then descend with that speed and land. With the viggen, I need too much speed for level flight. So usually hit the grass before the airstrip (not good) or land with too much speed. I must be doing something wrong, but not sure what.
  20. I can confirm that Rb15 are way more powerful than Rb04. I'm never able to sink the Neustrashimi with the Rb04 although both missiles hit the target and explode. With 2 Rb15s, I was able to sink it instantly. I'm not sure, but one might have been also enough, as the ship caught fire.
  21. I do use it, but it will only kick-in if the right and nose wheel touch the ground. If I land with 400 Km/h and there is a light breeze it is not easy to get them both on the ground before the plane starts rotating.
  22. I still have difficulties with landing. I usually land too fast and skid around on the field until I reach 90 degrees, then tumble around until I explode. Sometimes I can get it working. Usually using speed limiter, that tends to limit the speed to dramatically and I descend too fast. Please, please a video on landing the viggen?
  23. The ship is busy locking onto 4 F15s that are themselves targeting 2 Ka50. Rb-04 also have longer range that the SAMs the ship is shooting. Still AI pilot will either ignore the command to engage (first confirm, then ignore, then reject) or feel threatened by the SAM and jettison all his missiles. Hope this will be fixed, but would be good to get an idea how long it might take. Is this easy or difficult. Cause I have no idea. I know that quit a lot of people prefer to fly MP and I'm happy to hear that some of their problems will be fixed in the next release. But there seems to be also a lot of people who prefer to fly SP. Mostly because they are not up to the challenge, or just do not have the time to fly MP.
  24. Anybody know when this will be fixed? I only fly SP and usually fight ships. But as I can only carry 2 Rb04 and most ships need a lot of more hits, I need the help of AI. AI currently either just does nothing, or drops all rockets due to SAM activities from the ship (targeting other planes and still too far off). So, AI is currently not usable for ship fighting.
