  1. I only play DCS and not very much. Which new VR headset is the best now?
  2. I'm sorry, but I don't really understand anything you just said. Back to my original questions, would any of those make a difference?
  3. I have a Samsung Odyssey +, Nvidia GTX 1080, I7-7700 3.6GHZ, 16GB Ram. The VR seems to work fine, frame rates are good, but has that "looking thru a screen" or just a smidge out of focus visual effect to it. If I wanted to improve my VR experience visually, what would be the best way? Would a newer VR headset work best? Would a newer graphics card work best? Or is the programming of the game the limiting factor? When it comes to computers, gaming, VR, etc. I only know enough to be dangerous. Thx
  4. I finally got my Samsung Odyssey+ to work and am trying to improve the quality of what I am seeing in the headset and possibly the framerate as well. Everything is a tad blocky/pixelated and a perhaps a bit out of focus. (I have used the headset Focus adjustment to make what I am seeing as best as it can). Should what I am seeing in the VR Headset be as clear and smooth as what I see when playing DCS on my monitor? Maybe I'm expecting too much? I currently get 60 FPS when sitting on the main menu of DCS. I currently get 30 FPS when sitting in a running P-51D at Las Vegas Airport (P-51D, Instant Action, Nevada Takeoff). Flying around Las Vegas I get 25-32 FPS. Is this normal or is there room for improvement? My rig has, Intel i7-7700 3.6GHz, 16GB DDR4 2400MHz, NVidia GTX 1080 w/8GB GDDR5X, 850W PSU, 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD, HP 27es 60Hz 1920x1080. (Do you need to know any other specs?) Attached are photos of my current DCS settings. Should any of these be adjusted differently? Are there any adjustments I should be making to my Samsung Odyssey outside of the game, possibly thru Windows, Steam, etc.? Thx
  5. Ok, I did get it to work. I'm not sure how, but I was able to fly. Thanks for the help.
  6. Yes I have. In my previous picture you can see the game has launched in VR mode on my monitor and it even says DCS Ready in the little Steam VR 1.1.4 box. I basically have two VR movies/screens/games going on at the same time. One is a House (which I am stuck in) and the Second is DCS (which I can't get to appear in my headset.) With everything off (Steam, VR, WMR, etc) If I simply click on my DCS World Open Beta icon on my desktop, this is what launches and appears on my monitor. DCS in the front, House in the back. My VR headset only shows the House and I'm stuck in the middle of the room. I can swivel my head, but that is it.
  7. 1. That doesn't work. Still in a House I can't do anything in. 2. That doesn't work either.
  8. So far I'm stuck in this house and I can't move around or do anything in it. How the f*ck are there no simple Step by Step directions with Samsung Odyssey, Steam, Steam VR, Windows Mixed Reality or DCS to get this up and running?
  9. The wheel on my mouse does nothing. I've installed Steam, Steam VR and WMR for Steam. I launch Steam VR, I'm in the house. I hit Windows+Y, but my mouse is always on my desktop. I launch DCS, It opens up in a weird format, but my VR Headset only shows the house and my mouse can no longer switch back and forth using Window+Y since installing Steam. While my Hand Controllers are "connected", I've never got them to work or do anything.
  10. Thanks for the help. I got a connector and installed the Mixed Reality Portal. Now what? When my Headset is on, I'm sitting in a VR House. What am I supposed to do? When I start DCS it appears on my monitor, but my headset only sees the VR House. Additionally - once when I moved the mouse it moved my VR view as if I was 3" away from a wall in the house. How do you get back to a normal view as if standing in the middle of the room? I live in Texas, USA. If anyone would like to walk me through this, a PM with a phone number would be appreciated. Thx
  11. My Odyssey+ showed up today, I opened the box and now I'm stuck. My GTX 1080 only has one Display Port (HDMI) which is being used by my monitor. Now what? Why can't things be simple? Thx
  12. I just ordered a VR headset (Samsung Odyssey +). When I have the VR headset up and running will DCS be playing on both my monitor and the VR headset at the same time? If not, what should I expect or do? Thx, VR Noob
  13. Here's another dumb question, With the VR goggles ON I will not have any reference to my keyboard correct? All game functions will need to be assigned to the joystick correct? Thx
  14. I know absolutely nothing about VR. In fact I've never even tried one on. I would like to purchase one for DCS, but I need some guidance on which model I should buy. I am currently using TrackIR v5 and a VKB Gladiator joystick. My rig has, Intel i7-7700 3.6GHz, 16GB DDR4 2400MHz, NVidia GTX 1080 w/8GB GDDR5X, 850W PSU, 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD, HP 27es 60Hz 1920x1080. (Do you need to know any other specs?) Are the VR units plug-n-play? Does my rig have all of the correct components for VR? Cost really isn't an issue, I'm just looking for the "correct" VR unit for the rig that I have. Thanks,
  15. I've downloaded and converted to DCS 2.5 and for some reason the F-15C is missing from the aircraft list even though it shows installed in the Modules Tab. Any ideas?
