    Ah, yes! You would almost certainly have needed to append a zero after the third and sixth digits. Did the KEU not flash at you when you hit ENTER, or did it just accept the 6 digit coordinates? If not then perhaps the system added a couple of zeroes to the end of the entry, which would REALLY throw things off.

    Yup, spot on. Think of it this way: If the CPG is flying the aircraft then it's impractical to have to take one hand off the controls to operate the cursor in the TEDAC. If the PLT is flying, then chances are the CPG is going to be hands-on with the TEDAC, so it makes sense to have to cursor control mirrored there. Also, if you're not actively flying the aircraft then you shouldn't even be touching the flight controls as this can lead to unwanted tactile feedback/resistance for the person who is flying.

    Have you gone into the SHOW pages and enabled the relevant displays? Certain point types aren't switched on by default.
    TSD - SHOW(T3) - COORD SHOW(T6) - Enable ENEMY UNITS(L5) and PLANNED TGTS/THREATS(L6).
    Do this for both map phases if desired.

    If the IHADSS display is in Cruise you get both radar and barometric altitude displayed. In all other modes (Transition, Hover and Bobup) you will only get radar altitude. In all modes above about 1400ft radar altitude will disappear.

    Casmo has talked about this on his streams. AUX tank is off by default, and there's no hard-and-fast rule that anyone he knew stuck to regarding when to turn it on. He said a lot of the guys would turn on their AUX tanks after about 30 minutes of flight.

    Check the laser is armed.

    You can just hit IDENT(L1) on the TSD to clear what you've already entered and accepted, then start over. Alternatively, below ADD there is an edit function, so you can just complete the point with the error and then edit it to be right afterwards.
    The sequence is ADD(L2) - HZ(L4) - IDENT(L1). 
    EDIT: I just re-read what you said and was wondering if you typed "HZ" into the KEU when it first asked for the identifier. If so then it probably flashed twice when you hit ENTER and didn't progress to the FREE entry page, since HZ is point type and not an identifier. Check the manual pages 347-348 for the valid HZ identifiers. They're the ones in yellow. You can also look up all the identifiers by pressing ABR at T4 on the main TSD page.
    By default, not all point types show up in the TSD. To enable them, Go to SHOW(T3) and then on the left side you will see various options boxed. Also, once you're in SHOW, you can select THREAT SHOW(T5) and COORD SHOW(T6) for even more options. In the COORD SHOW it's normally the "Enemy Units" that hides most of the points that people are expecting to see.
    Don't forget the TSD has 2 modes too, NAV and ATK. To swap them over hit PHASE(B2). You can have different points visible in each phase, so set them up however you like. Being lazy, for now I just enable them all in the NAV phase to save swapping. 
    When you're finished, hit SHOW again to exit back to the normal TSD.

    It is accurate to the behaviour of the real aircraft, so not a bug.

    The "C2" is definitely a typo. MGRS format is always 2 letters, and never a letter and a number.
    MGRS (or UTM if you prefer) has a set format. In your example 55T is the major grid square (always 2 numbers and a letter), followed by the CS (always 2 letters) which denotes the smaller grid within that which is 10kmx10km. You then enter (depending on the aircraft and required accuracy) 6,8 or 10 numbers to denote coordinates within the smaller grid square. 
    6 numbers are accurate to 100m. 8 are accurate to 10m, and 10 gives you a 1m square.
    I've found a few typing/editing errors on the kneeboard coordinates for the included EA missions, so if something looks wrong when you enter it then it probably is wrong. Make a report in the Missions and Campaigns sub-forum and they'll get sorted out in time.

    That's it indeed. If you look at the manual it's on page 85, item 24 (Range & Range Source.) The "N" means that it is displaying range to the navigation source. It can also display laser range, but I'm not sure if that's only while the laser is firing or not. Alternatively it might give range to the last point lased, but I haven't tested for that yet.
    How I tested: Aircraft sat on the ground. I created 3 TG points at various ranges in front of the aircraft, and then set the ACQ by pressing ACQ (R6) on the TSD, selecting "?00" at B4 and then selecting the target point from the COORDS page that opens. Selecting each TG point in turn showed a corresponding increase in the range in the IHADDS.

    Almost, but not quite. I've been trying it out, and it doesn't stabilise to a spot on the ground. Instead it appears to be more of an angular stabilisation. It keeps the TADS aligned to the same azimuth and pitch, compensating for the pitch and yaw of the aircraft.
    If you want to test it yourself then jump onto the TADS with George flying in a hover. Find spot to follow and turn on the LMC. Now using George's H-B controls get him to slide left and right. You'll see the TADS will slide in the same direction as the aircraft.
    In short, it locks the TADS to a direction rather than a fixed point.

    OK, let's break this down a bit. For starters, are you in the front or back seat?
    In the pilot seat, selecting the gun will automatically get it to slave to your IHADDS. Thus the gun will always follow your head movement *as long as you are the one that selected the gun.* I believe that if the CPG selects the gun then he gets control of it either through his own IHADDS display or with the TADS.
    This brings us to the front seat. If the CPG selects the gun he can switch its targeting mode between his IHADDS and the TADS by using the controls on the TEDAC RHG. There's a 4-way hat switch just left of the Manual Tracker control to select this. Up is for HMD and right is for TADS. When slaved to the TADS you can then use the Manual Tracker control to slew the TADS camera around, and the gun will follow that. If you then select HMD the gun will slave back to your IHADDS.
    Remember that if you are using the IHADDS to aim the gun in either seat then its accuracy will depend on a number of factors. You must have accurately completed the boresighting procedure for your IHADDS, and must have the correct range set for the gun. In the back seat the manual range defaults to 1500m, whereas in the front seat it defaults to 3000m. You can either manually reset these figures, or select auto-ranging, but that comes with its own issues. Like the AUTO sight in the Hind, it takes your height above the ground, and then assumes that the terrain is flat between you and the target point. If the terrain height increases between you and the target your rounds will fall short, so you need to compensate, and vice versa if the ground slopes away from you. If you are aiming using the TADS, then make sure you lase the target while firing as I believe this is the most accurate way of ensuring the gun has the correct range information and should see you on-target most of the time. Also, if you're shooting off to the side of the aircraft while flying forward at speed then you need to aim slightly behind the target (relative to your direction of travel) to allow for the fact that the rounds will have some forward inertia as they leave the gun.

    Use the Linear Motion Compensation on the LHG. It's not ground stabilisation as such, but it's close to it. It basically zeros out the motion of the helicopter as best it can.
    I slew to a target or area, hit the LMC and the TADS stays quite stable. I then turn it off before slewing to a new target. If you leave it on and start to slew it will just keep slewing with the same direction and speed (good for following vehicles). You either have to try to slew in the opposite direction accurately to slow it to a stop or just turn it off. Turning it off and on again once I've got a new target is easier.
