  1. Yes, Device 5 is the Right MFCD, where the HSD is located most of the time. TNDL is the new name DCS has for Link 16 (DATALINK). The F-16 is able to Zap waypoints/markpoints to other aircraft in their Datalink group when the waypoint is selected in the HSD and the pilot holds IFF In on the throttle for 1 second. When it is transmitting, the XMT/TNDL are "Highlighted" for a second or two. I want the trigger the flag when that XMT/TNDL are highlighted.
  2. Hi all. Hopefully there are some bigger brains here than me, bust I'm having some trouble finding the right inputs for the X:Cockpit Indication Equal to for a mission I'm working on. For the Viper, I'm trying to have a flag come up when the L16.....whoops, I mean TNDL is transmitting data (zapping markpoints) via IFF IN. The indicator ID is 5, but I can't figure out the Element name or the "Value" to have it work after a couple hours of trying different combos. Here are the appropriate lines from the .lua console I grabbed while the XMT/TNDL MFD option was "Highlighted". Any help would be appreciated.
  3. Thanks for the input. As I said I'm very new to lua scripting and so your explanations taught me something already. I'm not using any framework at this time. I have been trying to create this mission using default .api as much as possible. I pick and choose things I see work from others scripting and try to put them all together into some kind of functioning "frankenlua" and it doesn't work most of the time. I wish I understood scripting better, but I'm trying on my spare time to learn. The thing is, I actually enjoy the process and the learning. As for the part of the code that isn't working, It is not recognizing the killed units and when I call it. Every adjustment I have made has always returned "0" units killed, even though the DCS event log clearly shows the kills. Perhaps what I need is just some guidance on how to get the script to read the DCS events for that specific period of time, looking for those units.
  4. I'm working on a mission where I would like to have a script to tally the tasking BDA's when triggered based on Unit Name if possible. For example, when the tasking ends, I would like to be able to have the Units categorized and reported by the category ie Tactical Units, Vehicles, Tanks, Emplacement, etc. Units are named starting with TF or VEH. Here is the code I've been working hours to try to get to work, but my limited scripting ability is showing. Any advice/help would be much appreciated.
  5. Creating missions with voiceovers, it would be wonderful to have 1 of the two features at least. 1. Start Delay option for AI Task Push similar to "message to group" or "radio Transmission" Start delay- This would enable conversations using AI Task push rather with only 1 trigger, ie Call and response 2. Allow a unit to be selected rather than just a zone for Radio Transmission. I haven't had any luck doing this with moving zones.
  6. Similar to how the triggers work for "Message to Group" or "Sound to all", it would be wonderful to have a "Start Delay" option under AI Task push. As a mission creator, I use delayed triggers via AI task push very regularly for units, sounds, radio transmissions, etc. As it stands now, If I have with a triggered action to make a radio transmission, I use AI task push when needed to activate it. If I want a 2nd unit to respond (ie other group, ground controller, atc, etc), I create a flag along with the first trigger/transmission, then create a whole new trigger with a "time since flag" condition, then the response from unit 2 via AI task push. It would save so much time to have a "Start Delay" option available for the AI task push because things could be stacked within one trigger. Other huge wishlist items: 1. Undo last action. I don't know how many times I've deleted the group accidentally.....after spending so much time setting things up. 2. Ability to copy/paste triggers between missions.
  7. Similar to how the triggers work for "Message to Group" or "Sound to all", it would be wonderful to have a "Start Delay" option under AI Task push. As a mission creator, I use delayed triggers via AI task push very regularly for units, sounds, radio transmissions, etc to keep things well organized. As it stands now, If I have with a triggered action to make a radio transmission from a unit, I use AI task push when needed to activate it. If I want a 2nd unit to respond (ie other group, ground controller, atc, etc), I create a flag along with the first trigger/transmission, then create a whole new trigger with a "time since flag" condition, then the response from unit 2 via AI task push. I understand I can create a "Transmission" and a "message", however, It would save so much time to have a "Start Delay" option available for the AI task push because things could be stacked within one trigger. Could be used for many other triggered actions for units also.
  8. I ran in to this problem when mountain it also. I could not use the holes to secure to my mount where the trust mater warthog mounted also. So I went to the store, bought a couple of m4 bolts that were longer, some washers, and used those through the bottom instead. It took longer, took some jerry rigging, but got it to mount securely and have the F-16 guide rails in the correct place.
  9. The 1st Virtual Fighter Wing is now recruiting. www.firstfighterwing.com Who We Are Founded in 2008, we are an international group of like minded individuals that enjoy combat flight sims. We have members from all over the globe. Over the years we've supported Falcon 4: Allied Force, Open Falcon, BMS, and now DCS. We pride ourselves on the professionalism of our missions while still having fun and not taking ourselves too seriously. We train in the Viper and Hornet, however we support the following DCS modules: F-16C, F/A-18C, F-14B, AV-8B, and A-10C. What We Do We believe the primary purpose of a virtual wing is to make sure there are organized flights for members to participate in so we have recurring weekly standard flights each week with detailed briefings and debriefings. Utilizing real world manuals and our active and retired military pilots, we’ve worked hard to create a “close to real life” atmosphere while still vying to maintain the fun aspects of simply enjoying a simulation title among friends. When We Do It Our largest flight is usually our Saturday Weekly Standard flight at 2pm EDT with multiple other flights during the week. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us on this forum or our discord server. Looking forward to flying with you. 10. Is there any way to remove the MGRS from the JTAC and only hear/see the DD or DMS instead of both?
  11. Has anyone been able to export the entries in the VA box automatically to a .txt file? I'm looking to have the comms entries exported to a .txt (VR Scratchpad) so I can refer to coordinates/intructions etc, but have to manually copy/paste right now.
  12. Good Stuff Backy 51. Have you tried this in a Multiplayer setting? Does every client need to overwrite the beacon.lua for it to work?
  13. Yeah, thank you. That thought hit me this morning. One should think a bit before posting questions late at night when he should be in bed. [emoji2357] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Anybody else seeing issues with the Persistence script after updating your dedicated server to the latest build? Files are in there, but not being read, nor writing since yesterday's update.
  15. Fantastic Work Surrexen. Excellent mission and the closest thing I've seen to a dynamic campaign. Asking for a friend, is there any way to keep the audio files when AI drops a bomb or foxes on a bandit, but disable them when clients do in multiplayer? Love the feedback from the AI, but when I drop a bomb, I like to make the call to my package and the audio sometimes interrupts/duplicates the calls. And one last question, can the elevation in the reports be changed to feet instead of meters? Is it a function of the _Settings:SetImperial() in the .lua? Thanks for your help. Keep up the great work.
  16. Getting the same problem. "Transfer Complete" right after connecting. Tried both Cold and "Air Start".
  17. I received mine last week from Amazon (ordered back in April). It worked for about 30 minutes. Cord came unplugged twice. Tried it again and WMR said the video cable needed to be connected. Couldn’t get it to work. For the few minutes I did use it I found it to be clear in the sweet spot, but the peripheral was noto only more blurry than the rift S. It looked nice, but thought it felt uncomfortable and cheap. I debated keeping it and just “making it work” but I want something that i don’t have to jimmy rig to get to work properly if I’m going to spend that much money when I was content with the Rift S. Reverb is on it’s way back to Amazon and I can’t recommend it as is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Are you by chance using MOOSE? I'm assuming so if you are using RAT. MOOSE and the DCS multiplayer code don't play well together on servers and will mess with the F10 menus. I had the same issue.
  19. No issues here. Were you trying to load it by chance in the pit at an airport that didn’t have any drop tanks available? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I believe The CVN-70 Carl Vinson is “Golden Eagle” CVN-74 John Stennis’ callsign is “Johnny Reb” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I’ve been really interested in picking up a system like this, however after seeing that you are selling yours I get a little concerned. Any particular reason you are selling your rig? Feel free to PM me if you don’t want to go into details on the public forum, but any insight would be much appreciated before I spend the money. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. My favorite way is by simply using simple radio and using the test sound button. I instruct audacity to record the sound coming through my headphones, press record, press test sound in SRS and voila. This way I can get uniform sounds and all I may need to do is adjust some levels and add mic clicks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Military Power (MRT) at Afterburner Detent Here is the curve I made for my warthog. Goes into burner just after pushing over my filed detent but I have squadron mates who have it working with other products. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I have created a mission in NTTR and have set up various audio triggers at the ramp (ie ground and tower transmissions) on specific radio frequencies using the "Radio Transmission" option in triggers. As we progress down the ramp and into the trigger zone, I can hear the trigger being played on the specified frequency, however other multiplayer clients cannot hear it, even though they are tuned to the same frequency. After many attempts to identify the issue, my thoughts are that audio triggers are not being "triggered" for MP clients. Anyone have any suggestions?
