  1. @MadMonty:

If you want to select a preset channel to become active frequency, you simply enter the channel number (e.g. “5”) into the scratchpad instead of a full manual frequency and hit enter.

Alternatively, in the DED main page, you move the up/down arrow active symbol to Radio 1 or 2 by 4-way dobber down input - then you can select active channel for that radio via rocker switch up/down.

Is this what you are looking for?

Ahhhh! Now I got it! Thanks a lot!!

  2. By entering the preset number then ENTR in the scratchpad

Thx- in this way I can change the preset manually - I have been aware of that.

What I am looking for is am automatic adaption of the preset to my radio.

For now I have to do the following steps:

    1) Select preset frequency (by clicking rocker switch or entering preset number in scratchpad)

    2) read preset frequency, e.g. 123.45

    3) enter frequency 123.45 to my radio via scratchpad

Instead of 3) I would like to have that preset automatically been selected in my radio. Is that a feature I am just not aware of, or is it not possible / WIP?

  3. Is it only while chasing a plane? Than it could be wake turbulence. Check, if you have this option activated.

I flew the BF109 yesterday the 1st time for a long period and have been also surprised by sudden nose movements due to wake turbulences, when crossing the slip stream of another plane.

But I do like that feature - brings it even closer to real life...

  4. What is you Alt?, you might be to high for 10 sec lase time. the bomb could over fly the target before the laser turns on.

Really? Never heard of something like that. You are dropping with CCRP, that means the bomb is released exakt at the point, where the flight curve of the bomb will hit the target. The laser makes it way more precise due to guiding the bomb to the target, but until the laser turns on it is a flight parable of an unguided CCRP bomb which ends up at the target. So the bomb shouldnt fly way over the target

  5. Like Sandman said, check if the laser is firing 10 secs before impact. It fires, when the "L" is in the TGP is flashing.

If not, check if you have chosen CCRP, Auto Laser, 10 secs via the weapons main menu. I have made the mistake earlier, that I have chosen the GBU12 manually and changed the settings. Selecting other weapons or going to NAV mode resulted in a loss of the settings, everthing went back to CCIP. So when selecting the GBU, please have a look, if the settings are the same like you have set them before.

  6. Hey Peter,

I had to smile a lot at your post. My setup: TM Hotas + CH Pedals + Private Pilot License. I'm also thinking about investing in the TM pedals.

However, I seem to be one step ahead of you: Oculus Rift. I strongly advise you to buy Rift / VR glasses before you invest in new pedals. After flying myself and using TrackIR before, this is a leap from 80% reality to 99%. You can't imagine how unbelievable the feeling of flying is when you are flying in three-dimensional space with 1:1 head tracking. Everything looks so incredibly real in 3D that after the first loops you feel really sick. Then VoiceAttack + Vaicom Pro and you'll actually be transmitting like in a real aviator. Believe me, you will be grateful to me for a long time, if you first have a Rift on. But I warn you, after that there is no way back into the 2D world, ask the other Rift users. It is a one-way street... :pilotfly:

  7. I'd highly recommend to turn the easy comms off. AFAIK it's bugged anyways and getting used to easy comms just gives you more trouble when switching to other planes/modules. I know it's another step mastering the hog but you'll apreciate it when getting in a multiplayer cockpit. And in the end it's a bit more realistic and even more fiddling with the buttons and switches - which I, personally, love a lot

I agree with you that Easy Comms off is more realistic.

However, Easy Comms works completely without errors for me, so anyone who wants to make life easier can use it with pleasure.

I also have the solution for color marking in the Comms menu.

All stations whose frequency is set correctly are displayed in white. All other stations are dark grey. Nevertheless, using Easy Comms I can also select the dark grey ones via the F-keys or by mouse click. Easy Comms then does nothing but set the frequency accordingly. If I call up the Comms menu again, this station is also white.

  8. I have updated my Voiceattack to 2.5.7.

If I now press the push-to-talk button, the noise has changed a bit when pressing and releasing the button, so far so good. But I don't hear this noise in DCS anymore, it seems like the sound of VA is suppressed in DCS. I have all settings according to the manual of VA and all sounds in DCS set to 50%. It's not that the noise is quiet, it's definitely not there. When I quit DCS and am in Windows, I can hear the noise again by pressing / releasing the PTT button.

After I play VR, I miss the acoustic feedback that the button is pressed.

Does anyone have any idea of what might be the reason?

    Cheers, MadMonty

  9. After playing DCS in VR, I find the cockpit lettering of the A10C a bit too small. I remember that once there was a MOD where the cockpit lettering was enlarged. But unfortunately I can't find this mod via google or here in the forum. Does it still exist?

  10. I dedusted my PC during the Christmas break and updated to VA 2.5.7.

So far there was always a louder noise, if I had pressed my transmission button. Now it is hardly to be heard any more. How can I get the sound or the noise louder, find it helpful with VR to hear that I hold the right key pressed...!?

    Many thanks in advance!

  11. Hey there,

has the manual been updated for AGM 65 etc.? If so, it would be great if someone could share the actual manual here again. Beeing away on christmas holiday without my PC I don´t have any access to my DCS folder, but lots of time left to read the manual.

    Many thanks in advance!

    Merry Christmas,

  12. If you are not happy with the performance of a laptop, another option could be my Mini-PC (look at my specs).

Had a laptop before, but wanted to have a more powerful pc without needing a big tower case. So the Thermaltake Core V1 with water cooling is really small and I did manage to get all the powerful stuff inside.

I am not living on a boat, even if I have just returned from a sailing trip at Sardinia. Really don´t want to think of the motion sickness you will get during bad weather

  13. Hey Neil,

    welcome to VR!!!

Firste of all - please have a look at this section of the forum:

    https://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=497

Here you will find a lot of information using VR in DCS.

Regarding your question, it is all about a nice and clean HOTAS setup. It doesn´t matter what kind of HOTAS system you use (TM warthog, Saitek etc.), but you need to have all the basic functions of the specific airplane mapped to your joystick & throttle and get used to it. It takes some time, but in the end you will find everything blind.

Additional functions can easily been done with a mouse click within your VR-cockpit.

    Cheers,
