Absolutely. I have the same oc on H2O to 5ghz. with an Odyssey and have not picked up the Rift since. I would recommend having DCS on an m.2 nvme and 32g DDR4 as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good news, I think I finally fixed my terrible lag problem! I went into the device manager and found the mixed reality HMD in the list and had windows update the drivers. The only ones listed were tracking drivers, but apparently they needed to be updated. I then went on to Through the Inferno (a busy server with lots of spawns) and Roberts your Auntie’s live in lover, had only a couple of very short spikes (more like expected). I was able to dogfight and bomb without ending up with my nose in the dirt! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I’ve heard that the lag issue is widespread and due for a fix, but I’m getting significantly more lag than the guys with whom I’ve been flying. My ping is generally in the 60s and I have gigabit internet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also, I have been having some serious lag on MP servers that have put my nose in the dirt on more than one occasion. I’ve read through this thread and others- is trying the beta branch of the WMR steam app still the most successful intervention? I have had that mouse trouble as well. Be sure that there is nothing else highlighted in the windows tray. If the steam mixed reality app is orange and blinky in the tray click it and the DCS tray icon until only the DCS one is highlighted. Also, there is a “play” arrow on the bottom of the mixed reality window that if pressed will mirror what is on the HMD- click that and it seems to fix the mouse problem. I was going to join you fine gentleman tonight but alas I saw that the player export lua has been turned off. As previously discussed this is a requirement for the gametrix jetseat and thus a requirement for me. If it's because people are unable to conduct themselves like men and use it to cheat I completely understand why it is turned off. I am but a lowly Huey driver and harrier student who insists on conducting myself honorably... but will do so elsewhere if I can't use mah [emoji575]. I’m obligated to counter this by saying DCS is incredible in VR and I wouldn’t fly any other way. I have a 1080 and it is sufficient to run it even with 3770k oc to 4.5. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This does indeed seem exciting! My fear is that because this update is “touch native” we are going to have the continued problem of silly “hands” in and around the cockpit. As it stands now I keep my touch controllers off and put away due to this issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I honestly think it gave the simulation some personality. There is a guy sitting beside you and it made the experience a little more human. It’s really quite amazing in the Huey. Probably the most useful effect is one can feel the rotor being unloaded (or loaded) with changes in attitude and altitude. It honestly gives massive dimension to all the helicopters and makes flying them much more intuitive. Same here... which is disappointing as I try to play as much as possible on 2.1 and the viggen is such good fun. I am confident it will get sorted out however otherwise I may be a mere shell of a man by the time 2.5 is upon us. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
