  1. Good morning aviators I'm happy to introduce you here my ELO Dogfight Server. Yet Another Dogfight Server . All fights played on this server automatically produce ELO calculation for players accordingly to the aircraft used in the fight. And you automatically get the results, rankings & statistics, on the website here : https://elodogfight.cellules-rapaces.fr/en I implemented a really cool feature on this server, wich is the AutoSpawn script. The use of this script is mandatory in order to join any slot on this server. You have to copy paste it in your [user]\Saved Games\DCS.Openbeta\Scripts\Hooks. You can download it here : https://elodogfight.cellules-rapaces.fr/en/presentation/ELO-DF_auto-spawn_GameGUI.lua This is a really small effort for many time saved going back to spectator and slot after each kill... You can look at the content of this script, and reuse it on your own server if you wish. It is really short and simple . I produced a small video, less than 7 minutes, in order to present the server : You can retrieve all details on the website https://elodogfight.cellules-rapaces.fr/en . As in any competitions there's a minimum of organisation and way to do things. Yet if you make a try, you'll rapidly see that once you're used to the process, it is really easy. Many thanks to the french speaking community which help me testing and initializing activity on the server. Many thanks to Eagle Dynamics for this great sim with many possibilities opened to content creators and server hosters. Hope many other people will enjoy it . On my side I'll continue improving it bringing new functionalities, statistics, aircrafts (why not helicopters also...)... Many many thanks to you for your reading till here. Fight's On, Let's Turn and Burn
  2. Hi Debolestis, awesome work here I'm discovering. Any documentation somewhere about your boards on oshpark ? (BOM, application exemples, recommendations...)
  3. You confirm without that mod, no SCUD launch ? Does it pass Integrity Check ? Any chance to get High Altitude long range launch ? Anyway, if that opens ground-ground cruise missile launch, that's already a great capability :) . Thanks for that.

  5. Nope I didn't record the track. It seems to be related to the wake turbulence feature, and my system low specs. The system spec : - Intel Core i3-2120@3.30GHz - 16GB RAM - SSD - Nvidia GTX1070 Do you still want a track to have a look ?
  6. Experienced both with 2.5.5 and 2.5.6. FPS ~10 with very low performance settings, makes the sim unplayable :( .
  7. Hi, For me the Tacview export seems to be broken with the latest OB 2.5.5.34108. Possible to confirm and fix ? Or tell me how to get it back working ? VBR
  8. Is this discord message also required for Arena 2019, or is it just for SATAL ?

Thanks for all these exchanges and shares . I started to elaborate a junior training program, mixing fun and slow adaptable pace learning. I'll stick to DCS for the moment, but will remain open to other experiences and possibilities. Will iterate with feedbacks of my son.

Interesting feedback @Los. Which simulations did you practice with him when he was between 7 and 12 ?

Great feedback @Zius ! Many thanks

@33-DFTC you're sooo right... Sure @Erniedaoage, L-39 looks also as a great option ! Yet I wonder if it is really worth it looking for a virtual two seater, or be really two-seating with him in a virtual monoseat aircraft...

Thank you Meowmeow, Kang, Catt42. I understand your point :). I also learned the hard way, fueled by passion, starting at 8. I think it's a bit different when you're interested by your own to something than when it comes from your dad in a certain manner. I don't try to impose him anything, just want to help him find a pleasant and fun way to start that journey  . @Catt42 : I don't really want to make things easy for him, I'm interesting in finding the right balance in what I could propose (when he asks). I grow with simulations. What they get today with DCS is so far from what we could access or the journey we were starting... 24 years ago... Wow, many thanks Razorback . That's exactly the type of feedback and ideas I'm looking for. Will consider for a Tomcat ride with him :).

Hi, Without entering in details about my profile and experience : -I am a "relatively" old simer - started on F-15 Fighter Pilot on a Amstrad CPC 464 in 1985 - I've intensively been involved in online activities during years - I created the french Raptor Cells squadron and founded the Virtual European Air Force organisation - among other things... - I left active and regular online flights I would say ~two years ago Today, I'm looking for something else and different. I have an 11 years old kid. He's starting to show interest in this activity that fascinates me... combat flight simulation. Despite great experience in the field, I feel a bit disarmed about on boarding very young people in that type of activity.:joystick: Do some people here have experience to share on that ? I have no idea about helpers or simplified features in DCS. I am even not sure starting with DCS is a good idea... A friend told me about Red Bull Air Race game in which you can give control just to turn left or right. If any people have experience to share about flight simulation with kids, I'm highly interested. If any people have just ideas, I'm also interested too  . Thank you in advance for any share, idea or orientation.
