  1. Ill give it a shot...from the looks of it, might be uninstalling and reinstalling - playing that game. Ill report back when I get it installed and tested.
  2. The Harrier is fun; the Hornet is fun. Both are complicated - one is easy to fly and hard to learn while the other is exactly the opposite "kinda"...I know the Hornet inside out, but since Razbam is always updating and upgrading the Harrier, its really difficult to learn the technical aspects of it...but theres not nearly as much to learn in that aircraft as the Hornet. If you're at a loss as to which one to get, wait for the F-15E to drop.
  3. same thing it always means: another year passed without release. Here's to year 10*?
  4. well I have it working..unfortunately that sacrificed VA. Its funny because this was never a problem before..
  5. nope. triple checked, also triple checked the tick box in VA to see if by chance it was...and nope, not ticked. every time I open up VA it installs those files regardless. Fairly certain now its not SRS.
  6. either. seems like every time I do a repair, some UI folders get rebuilt and scripts keep getting introduced that keeps me from using the comms menu. I disabled SRS and Voice Attack...odd that I dont even use them often and they shouldnt even be causing conflict yet here I am...I think voice attack might be installing scripts regardless of my options ticked in the box.
  7. So....this happened again. This is the 3rd time Ive noticed this and it always happens the very first time I load into an FC3 aircraft. By first time, I mean a complete reinstall of DCS of some sort where the logbook is empty and new. Didnt get a track file, but I did a quickstart F-15 mission that lasted all of 10 minutes and managed to get a full 10 hours in the logbook. I only happened to notice it because I have 28 hours in the log, 18 of them in the AH-64 which is accurate and was questioning where the other hours came from. I spent a few minutes looking through the logbook and the only other aircraft I have more than 10 minutes of time in was the F-15. Sure enough, I have 10+ hours in the F-15.
  8. Can't seem to bring it up regardless of aircraft, so Ill just stick to one I know how to do it normally. Its been a few months since I last flew, so a few updates have passed since then.. In the F-18, I select Comms 1 or 2, proper channel selected, no communications menu pops up. The \ key doesnt bring up any menus either, they just disappeared. I have these keys mapped properly, and cant even get it to work even with the canopy open. Whats the deal? It has to be a 2nd party thing Im using. I have Voice Attack, rarely use it, but I have Disable Menus tickbox unticked so I dont know what the problem could be.
  9. You know, he is technically correct whether you like it or not. If what you said is true, then the fix would have already been applied, correct? Unless you have experience in the actual vehicle, its very likely ED -rightly so- would only take your statement with a grain of salt. So should everyone else.
  10. Yeah, the Super Hornet is just a dumb idea for a module. The VRS Super Hornet is about the closest you can get to an actual representation of one "legally" so to speak and I can fly it well because I know the Blk 20 so well - yeah they're that close. Id still buy it if it ever happens, but itll be boring....nothing new, really.
  11. Yeah, rest assured theres not going to be a Super Hornet. At best you're going to get the exact same thing you have in the lot 20 but with a different airframe...and even then, no. No secret sauce.
  12. Like I mentioned a few pages back, some customers dont have all the goodies. They could have a software version thats dumbed down, less features, less capable in some instances...again, not every Super Hornet gets the secret sauce. Guaranteed though if it pertains to the AESA radar or where the technology is limited to export control, yeah its going to be classified.
  13. Depends on who owns the aircraft and most likely...yes.
  14. ED announced the AH-64 Apache as a project immediately after BS1 released in Russia....circa 2007. The F-16 roughly the same time...but as a new AI model, not a module.
  15. Well that probably correlates better when you take into account the amount of ppl fed up with early access open beta stuff. I buy everything, thats just me. But honestly havent been flyng much this past year either so I kinda get it. Ill fly again when stuff works.
  16. website slowed down to a crawl...its almost 26k speeds now, is it really THAT demanding? And I mean the DCS main page not the forum. Been waiting for it to "take my money" for 5 minutes now.
  17. huh?? youtube bud...
  18. Ive built Super Hornets, I know what goes on the wings. Again, Ive never seen anything other than a single missile on that pylon. Apparently I just cant count.... but the 10x AMRAAM Hornet was never a real loadout, just a trial to see if it could successfully engage 10 targets...and it did. Dont think there are any pics of the SH carrying that many missiles.
  19. To be fair, the EA-18G outer wings are plumbed specifically for those HARMs. Pretty much all they do carry on those pylons.. Ive never seen nor heard of a SH carrying 12 AMRAAMs. Dont quote me on it, but dont htink those outboard pylons are authorized for dual racks.
  20. Yeah but at best, what features are you really going to get out of it? 2 extra fuel tanks, 2 extra pylons and doing exactly one more mission than the legacy version...and that mission is kind of dull and boring TBH. Theres a bigger difference between the A-10C and the CII than there is with the Blk 20 and 25 avionics wise.
  21. Would be nice to at least have it as an AI unit...I get it they are making it a full module, but would be nice to finally get that little bit offered up when the Tomcat was announced as a backup tanker.
  22. I try not to use UPS anymore. Matter of fact, I go out of my way to stay away from them whenever I can, especially after they started going anti 2A and seizing firearms components they dont like. Also had issues with them either losing or stealing ammunition from deliveries, but thats another discussion. No really good way to get around them unless you ship exclusively through DHL or another brand; USPS contracts a lot of their mail deliveries to UPS and FedEx when it comes to air freight and logistics they can handle better than what the USPS can afford.
  23. SJW coming to big tech rescue here. Good. I submitted my evidence. You disagree? Your opinion. Your opinion like many others...just suck. I've shopped Newegg since 2007, I'm an eggspert reviewer there since 2011 and after buying thousands of things from Newegg over the years, since the Chinese took over its been bad. You don't see it? Just read the thread, but you don't get to come in here and sh*t on my concerns because you believe a thing and have wood for Newegg. Just because you've never been scammed by anyone selling on Newegg doesn't mean it wont...and when it happens, don't come cryin' here, bud. Take the SJW 'tude somewhere else. I'm done with you.
  24. Aww, we got a lawyer here. So far as I see, you're the only troll here. Good. You can cheerlead for Newegg all you want. Doesnt change the fact that they've went downhill these past few years, but it doesnt sound like you subscribe to reality and nobody here has had issues with them. You dont like it, the doors right there you drama queen.
  25. Yeah I guess you're the only person who aint had problems from Newegg here. Hey look everyone, nothing bad ever happens to this guy! NEVER! GFY.
