Is the multiplayer version the one to get if you want to multi-crew a single AH-64D? or is that not possible?

The cargo hooked on automagically and when I landed, I got a text message saying 'thank you' etc but I didn't click any assigned button to 'unhook' as I thought it would work like the hooking on did, automagically. Looking forward to Mission 5! Interestingly, I didn't get the message from FSB Dublin after completing the artillery mission.. just seen this post - I guess I didn't wait long enough, pretty sure I was there for a few minutes circling though..

update - I used the Intercom to speak and heard a voice guide me in to hook the cargo. I dropped it off at the destination, got the confirmation text message, then flew the artillery spotting mission and scored a direct hit. All good. Now flying back home ( I think) but checked the external view and the cargo is still hanging below my helo?

I'm trying to get the smoke to appear at the cargo location and when I hover above the cargo, nothing happens. I watched this video but don't see smoke or messages about cargo hooked.. This is in the latest Open Beta DCS.

I bought the AH-64D module last night and am going through the Training Missions using the latest Open Beta DCS. The Training Missions always start in GAME MODE and I don't have Game Mode active in any menus. How do I get out of this mode so that I can fly the helicopter in the Training Missions? It's impossible to control the aircraft as there is no option to assign controls for Game Mode. Thanks, Toby

Quick update for anyone interested in Syria map. On my system, it runs fine. It uses 30gb RAM at load and settles at 25gb. The odd stutter but it runs more smoothly than Marianas, admittedly I haven't tried flying in bad weather, but it looks amazing, low and fast from the cockpit of the Apache, and feels very real and immersive compared to the other maps. I don't own the Falklands map yet, so don't know what that's like.

Thank you @sirrah, really appreciate that! I did buy the AH-64D and Syria last night. I only flew around in the AH-64D for a short while but it's already got it's hooks in me! I love it like I loved the Ka-50 on release! Looks like I'll be learning this module now, so really appreciate you sharing those links.

Are there any other helo campaigns planned in Syria by anyone? I'd love to own the map but, unless I'm looking in the wrong places, there doesn't seem to be much to do there unless you fly online multiplayer?

I think I must have tried Mission 3 at least eight times over the last several days before finally just completing it and landing without skids, to get Mission Complete, after losing my skids in a heavy landing under fire to rescue my teammates. I even found one of the hidden enemy camps on the last attempt and am getting so much better at controlling the Huey, almost starting to understand it.. What an amazing campaign. I haven't played a Campaign this good in DCS ever, thank you @Reflected PS - I lost my skids, I lost my rear stabiliser, I got shot down, I blew my engine up by flying too fast (I think), and I crashed into the trees.. just some of the fun awaiting you when you try to complete just a single mission of this excellent campaign..

I'm not a huge fan of combat missions, I tend to die a lot, but do love the Huey, the Ka-50 and the Mi-8. Are there any helicopter Campaigns planned or available for Syria map?

I am considering purchasing the Syria map to have somewhere new to fly single player missions and campaigns. What has stopped me purchasing until now are the multiple reports of low fps, high ram consumption and stuttering in this map. Has performance been fixed in Syria map or not? For reference, Marianas stuttters for me a bit too with Reflected's excellent Paradise Lost campaign. Caucusus is smooth. Thanks, Toby

@Reflected If I buy this campaign now, can I fly it solely in the Channel Map, does that work? Is the Normandy map still broken?

I just got my centre mounted stick set up today, what a difference! Micro precision flying from now on I fell out of the sky (VRS) near the LZ in the second mission trying to copy the acrobatic members of my team. Will try again tomorrow. Love the feeling of formation flying, very cool, and such immersion. Well done!

@Reflected I did it What a hard first mission... but I did it! I misunderstood the message at the end though. I pressed 'No' when asked if I wanted to reset the mission, I thought that would let me do the next mission.. see below.. figured out how to edit the logbook so that I can continue... The Huey is SO hard to control under 20 feet with heavy loads in strong wind and low speed... Does it roll left/right for everyone or is it just me? PPS @Reflected Such a great mission, so well made and I listened to the speech at the end because it was all so immersive, thank you for creating such a memorable mission. One that I will always remember..

Now all we need is working windscreen wipers, not just moving ones.. It's impossible to see anything now in the first mission of Paradise Lost Campaign! In the best possible way, thank you This is so realistic now and SO hard! It's like the Dark Souls of helicopter missions..
