  1. As an alternative to creating your own, you could have a look at SFJackBauer's X-52 profile: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58484 It is highly recommended, the hat setup is extremely intuitive once you get used to it.
  2. Yeah, I know what you mean. As BKLronin mentioned, scalability is the key, I think. Looking forward to more information.
  3. Of course it isn't ideal, but I don't see anything wrong with being accessible and encouraging new players, if they don't have the hardware yet. I'm very interested in this. If they capture the feeling of flight well, could be a lovely relaxing game, I feel.
  4. Very interested in this, I've been hoping someone would step up to do something for Android. Thanks and keep up the good work.
  5. Hmm, very tempting! The only reason I've not bought one so far, is that I currently have no room for rudder pedals (using an X-52 at the moment). Considering I'll almost certainly be buying rudder pedals in the future, would it be worth getting the Warthog now? I know some people have mentioned using the throttle friction lever on the throttle unit of the Warthog for rudder control. Does this work well? I think it'd be a shame for me to buy one and not enjoy using it, because I don't have decent rudder control yet. Any thoughts very welcome.
  6. Excellent, nicely presented! Thanks for the work. You should make more, I'd definitely print them all out. :) +rep
  7. Number 1 for me, would love to continue as a "free flight".
  8. Well allow me to be the exception, this sim is excellent. Tried a few train sims, this has by far the best graphics I've seen, I'm looking forward to a London route if they do one. I know the concept of train simulators is difficult to grasp by some people, but I find them enjoyable, I'm glad you posted this.
  9. Launch trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFtxDHv5Ml4 Brilliant.

Matos, in the beta forum there's a sticky that shows you how to enable the swastika, simple config change.

    Wings Of Prey

    Glad you like it :) Here's a bunch more screenshots I took: http://i49.tinypic.com/2iqzo1f.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/1z31q1e.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/2433fjl.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/nvpbue.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/2zpkq4z.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/2ai4pyb.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/54u0y8.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/2a4ydq8.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/25ft6it.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/ebdeyq.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/2pu0qon.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/2qtibn8.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/2yl0nxv.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/67qm4x.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/f2uf49.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/fwhmol.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/2vnjhtt.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/b5g0wh.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/vxolma.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/2uonpua.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/2zofa10.jpg The smoke is quite good in this game, very thick and stays around for a long time.

    Wings Of Prey

I was testing a few planes out again (hence why I'm flying an La-7 over Dover), did a quick dogfight with a Bf-109, recorded the replay if anyone would like to see it Apologies the quality isn't superb, my connection can't handle huge uploads, I got a constant 60fps throughout the flight but fraps recording caused it to slow down slightly.

    Wings Of Prey

I didn't post the screenshots over on SimHQ :) For me the feel of flight is superb, there's a good sense of speed when flying low, probably partly due to the fantastic terrain. The physics are ok, but there are beta patches coming out very often so the FM is constantly being refined. It's a beautiful game, and runs perfectly on my machine (E8400, ati 4870 512mb, 4gb ram) on the very highest settings. I'll post some more screenshots later if I get chance.

    Wings Of Prey

I posted over on SimHQ a short while ago... this game really is beautiful, it's exceeded my expectations by a way, tons of potential. Here's a few Spitfire shots http://i50.tinypic.com/2guwkyq.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/2znwqi8.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/axh37o.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/11b4rcw.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/2lnif41.jpg
  15. Yeah thanks, looks amazing. A definite day-one purchase for me.
  16. I seem to have lost the feed again too :( Shame! Did anyone catch the Berkuts? Absolutely astounding, one of the best things I've seen in this area.
  17. Please, that would be good. I've been thinking of the best way for me to do it, I don't use any of the keypad buttons either, except for / and * for zooming. That Saitek command unit looks very useful. Except I'm well out of desk space already.
  18. Not clickable at the moment. Move them up and down with Page Up/Page Down.

    Organised co-op

Thanks Jester, sounds really good. Sadly I don't have LO/FC, but I'll pop over to the forums at some point anyway, have a look around and make a post.
  20. Hey LtFransky, how did that work out for you? Mapping the PVI to the keypad seems like a good solution to me, if it works ok. What does your mapping look like?
  21. Yeah, I just used to profiler too. Quite simple to use, create a new macro, make sure it is recording delays, then afterwards I edited the delays to 0.01s by right-clicking. That's strange though, pitbull, the RAlt key works fine on my profiler. Is that a bug on the 12 G-key G15? edit: VVV yes, thanks, I meant 18-key. Cheers.
  22. OK here's mine, bear in mind I have the new-style G15 with only 6 G-keys. I've got it set so that mode 1 hits the number buttons on the PVI (for easy waypoint switching) M1 G1: PVI Pushbutton 1 M1 G2: PVI Pushbutton 2 etc Mode 2 is for the UV-26 countermeasures dispenser M2 G1: Toggles dispensing board switch, left/both/right M2 G2: Toggles switch for counter/programming M2 G3: Number of flare sequences button M2 G4: Number of flares in sequence button M2 G5: Flare interval button M2 G6: Reset program button Mode 3 I was running out of ideas, so set up for weapons mode selection and HUD modes M3 G1: Toggle weapons Man/Auto M3 G2: Weapon mode switch (Long/Medium/Short) M3 G3: Cannon round selector M3 G4: Cannon rate-of-fire selector M3 G5: HUD mode selector M3 G6: HUD filter If you can think of any better buttons to have for the 6-key 3-mode operation, I'm all ears! I'd have liked to set up the datalink on one mode, but there simply aren't enough buttons! Black Shark.rar
  23. Hi folks, I've been thinking and I'd love to be involved in some regular, organised co-op missions. I've been in IL-2 squads where we did this kind of thing, on a certain evening each week (or several times per week) we'd get on teamspeak, set up a multiplayer game and embark on a pre-assigned mission. I think to do something similar in Black Shark would be immense fun, even if it's just starting out with the stock 4-player mission. Or we could start out with something simpler, basic training missions at first with targets that don't shoot back, so we get used to communication and using the datalink, and building from there. But I'm basically interested in a pure co-op multiplayer. Would anyone else be interested in this? I don't have a teamspeak server or anything, but I'm sure something could be organised if we get the players sorted first. Are there any squads that are currently doing things along these lines? If so, I'd absolutely love to take part. Cheers, Tim.
  24. Thanks pitbull. It is an easy fix but I didn't think of it either. I can program all sorts of things to the G-keys now. I edited the delays to 0.01s and it works fine so far.
